    Behind the foodtruck
    Cyn T.

We love to visit Aloha Thai Fusion whenever we're in the area. They used to have a restaurant and few years back and am glad they still have their foodtruck. They have a kiosk you can order from. There are chairs and tables in front so you can wait for your order. I enjoy the cashew Chicken and egg rolls every time. The portion size for the cashew Chicken has decreased while the price has increased. Same for the egg rolls. rolls. The food and service are still good, thankfully and I will continue to support their business. Aloha

Green papaya salad, drunken noodles, fried rice
    Son C.

Owner was nice, food came out quick, Ordered papaya salad spice 8, fried rice, and drunken noodles. We came back next day because papaya salad was soo good. Balance of flavor , spicy, hint of sweetness, and crunchy fresh green papaya. Only 2nd best to the lady in Hilo farmer market.

Coconut Shrimp, Rice and Mac Salad

My first stop is always the Kahului Food Trucks across from Costco. Plenty of outdoor seating with tables. I tried the Fresh Coconut Shrimp with Rice and Mac Salad from Aloha Thai Fusion. Ono grindz! Go check em!

This was one of my favorite food trucks on the island. They understand vegan, you can choose your spice style, huge portion, fast service. The price was perfect as well! The pad Thai was the star of the show. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

    Fish sliders

This was literally our first stop after touchdown and glad it was. My sister thought the pad thai was better than back home; we agreed to disagree. It was good but not as great as the fish sliders. Fresh fish with the lime crema sauce. And the mango lilikoi buns - those alone were enough to rave about; wish I could buy a pack of those to bring home. The service was quick and friendly. There's a parking lot nearby and it's part of a food truck park located close to Costco making this the perfect place to stop after picking up groceries for your vacation. I dreamt of making this the last stop before my departure but I didn't get a chance. Gives me an excuse to go back to Maui!

    Papaya salad, spice level hot
    Mitzi C.

This was a really good papya salad. I can usually handle the "hot" spice level, but this time around.....damn! I was at home, sweating from every pore on my face (my glasses fogged up lol). But I still enjoyed every bite. The sauce was different from other Thai restaurants. If I could put a name to the flavor, I'd say it was more fish saucy (but in an umami kinda way). The papaya and carrots were nice and crunchy. Not sure why there were big chunks of cabbage in there, but i just ended up replacing them w/ some Romaine when I got home. My only gripe is that there are no proteins offered w/ the salad. Deducted 1 star for this.

    pad thai excellent!

Primo Pad Thai and the best drunken noodles EVER! Thai food PROS! Also cheerful attitude is super! Mahalo!

    Thai fried rice

Out of all the foods we tried around Maui this was my favorite. Its a food truck located in a hotel lot near the airport. Theres a bunch of other food trucks so you can't miss it! I walked around the lot for a good 5 minutes or so trying to decide what to pick. Thai food IMO can never be a bad choice. The food took a while to be prepared and my tummy was def grumbling. But it was well worth the wait. After having a bit of a mishap at the market earlier, this is exactly what I needed. Turned my night around and got me back in my happy dancy mood. Calamari and fried rice seemed pretty safe to try from a new business I've never been to right? Totally! The calamari were thick sticks compared to the other way I normally have them prepared. Very flavorful and the sauce was quite unique as well. The fried rice was uber flavorful! I don't think I've had fried rice that good, ever. Now all other fried rice will just be a disappointment *tear*. Highly recommended! Check them out and you won't be disappointed. Lots of other trucks to visit as well. Can't go wrong.

This food truck is parked outside of our resort right now and if you check my reviews, you know I love pad Thai! The pad Thai is a large portion, very hefty, and 6+ shrimps. It was very saucy (love that, hate dry pad Thai). The sauce was a good balance between spice, sweet, and peanut. The wings smelled phenomenal. One friend had pineapple barbecue wings that were described as "f*ing amazing!" Another had hot wings that were described as "delicious with the perfect amount of spice and heat, fried to perfection and 100% would order again." The wings also had a lot of sauce, paired with sticky rice and macaroni salad on the side. Also, the macaroni salad should be offered as a side. I can't wait to try more tomorrow!

The chicken ginger stir fry. SO ONO. The service is quick. Super chill spot, close to the hotel so super convenient.

Chicken pad see ew on the left and chicken pad thai on the right. Both were ok, but not great.
    Kanani T.

Food was good but not great. My kids shared the chicken pad thai and I got the chicken pad see ew. While I did enjoy my plate, it seemed lacking in flavor and heat (perhaps I could've asked them to spice it up a bit, but wanted to see what their standard recipe was). I enjoy the pad thai and pad see ew at Thai Me Up much more. Staff was very nice and they made food pretty quickly on a Sunday night. Not sure if I would be back again though.

    Drunken Noodles with Shrimp

Love this place. I had the drunken noodles with shrimp. It was great. It was like eating something from a top restaurant. Big portion & so many shrimp. i wish I had counted them. No skimping here. Very nice lady at the counter. I will definitely be back.

Was looking forward to trying the rangoon, but they were out when I ordered (need to come back to try another time!) Sliders with guava bun were delicious. A fun Hawaiian fusion truck.

I was immediately intrigued by the calamansi pork -- an item I had never seen it on a menu before. One bite and I was hooked. The pork was tender and flavorful, and the bright, citrusy calamansi added a unique tang that made the dish completely unforgettable. It was so good that I'm still thinking about it after coming home. We also tried the pancit noodles, pork sisig, and mochiko chicken, and every dish was excellent. The pancit was packed with flavor, the sisig was gelatinous (fir those who are into it), and the mochiko chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and impossible to stop eating. For my first visit to Maui and my first time trying Da Soriano Grindz, this food truck set the bar incredibly high. If you're visiting Maui and want amazing Filipino food that's a little different from what you'll find elsewhere, don't skip this spot. The calamansi pork alone is worth the trip.

Peeked their Instagram and saw a corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich. Say what? Less than 5 minutes later I was texting my order in. Unfortunately, no one actually ever answered my text (please don't tell people to text if you don't reply). Being impatient, I said screw it and just drove myself there to check. They are located in Kahului Industrial in the Ferguson's parking lot, across the way from Lee Bear's. It's a really, really random spot and parking could be a challenge if it gets busy. If it's slow, you could park right in front of the trailer. The family that runs this food trailer is born and raised in Guam and their menu features Chamorro cuisine like arrozcaldo, corn soup, etc. It didn't seem like it to me at first because everything was so so familiar to me, but my friend who was raised in Guam reminded me of how it's heavily Filipino influenced and mentioned that the grilled cheese sandwich was her childhood growing-up. No wonder (I'm Filipino)... Anywho, got my corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich! The corned beef isn't like your St. Patty's day corned beef, but more like the Palm brand canned corned beef. The bread was also slightly sweet and was the perfect vessel for all this deliciousness. The sandwich was so tasty and had the perfect amount of meat and cheese. Definitely a great way to start my morning and can't wait to have it again. My friend also recommended trying their corn soup & their red rice whenever it's available. Will definitely try those in the future too.

We have tried quite a few of the trucks and there were long lines and I was hungry so we drifted over to Kaipo's as they didn't have much of a line. They were quick to cook em up, just long enough for us to buy some pineapple lemonade from the stand next door (Wailemi). The food was MOUTH WATERINGLY GOOD. I cannot understand how they didn't have a long line!! People are missing out here! My Shrimp Dynamite was served in a small container, full of melty mushroomy goodness, with crunchy courgette, shrimp cooked to perfection and a creamy sauce on top. It wasn't as hot as I like, but I only deem something spicy when I can't feel the front of my face and steam is coming out of my ears so perhaps it is spicy enough for the general public. Nevertheless it was DROOLWORTHY, so good I had to share a single piece of courgette with my husband, but that was all he was getting! No more, Nada, nope. All mine! Hubbs didn't take long to demolish his with gusto, and he was 110% satisfied with dinner. Meat was cooked just right.
