Once all of the hype died down, we were finally able to try Jollibee. Their menu is limited compared to other Jollibee menus, however, our food was tasty & served fresh. We got our food to go, since their dining area was crowded when we went. We'll definitely be back. read more

A lot of negative reviews don't exactly know how to eat Filipino fried-chicken. They are not your typical American chicken-fried that is carried by seasoning like lemon pepper. Chicken-joy is eaten with rice and gravy, filipino style. Gotta love their peach-mango pie as well, its a classic. Glad they finally opened a Jollibee here in Michigan, although I wish it was located in the center of metro-detroit instead of north-east. Still worth it for me, highly recommended! read more

It's unfortunate that reviewers are basing reviews on wait times for opening day but not explaining the circumstances. The lines started at 8pm the day before. The drive through line zig zagged through the malls lot and then wrapped half way around the mall. The lines to enter the restaurant had a few hundred people in it hours before opening. Was the menu limited yes. Were there limits on the amount you can get yes. If you were upset you couldn't get more after waiting in line imagine how upset you would have been if they had ran out of food because people were allowed to order as much as they wanted. Jollibee's opening team did an amazing job considering how many showed up. As for the food, the spicy chicken sandwich is the best fast food chicken sandwich period. We especially liked the fresh jalapeños. The fried chicken was crispy and very juicy. The adobo rice with the gravy was a hit with everyone at our table. The pies are a decent size and the peach and mango filling is delicious. I'm looking forward to them adding the missing items from the menu and am so glad I don't have to drive to Toronto any more. The restaurant was clean and bright. The large wall of windows made the space feel open and larger than it is. The bathrooms were also clean although the men's room was limited to one person at a time. The crew inside were all very nice to me and our children. Long story short, it's ok. We had a 6 piece bucket with mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The other sides were sold out. Also had the peach mango pie. I'm not sure what the hype is. Our 1st visit was the drive thru window for lunch 3/2/24. Service was very fast and all employees were smiling. We ordered at 12:00pm and had our food at 12:05pm. Since it was our 1st visit we wanted to try a variety of foods. We both ordered the 2pc Jolly Chicken with biscuit and 2 sides, the pineapple juice and 2 peach mango pies. For sides we both tried the spaghetti, and split mashed potatoes/gravy and fries. The chicken was crispy and super juicy so awesome. We both loved the fries, mashed potatoes/gravy, biscuit, fries and spaghetti. The pineapple juice and peach mango pie were both fabulous. The service and food would rival any sit down restaurant. Fried chicken is the same as all fried chicken places, but what makes this place significant is its rice and OMG THE PEACH MANGO PIE WAS SO GOOD! The pineapple drink was also good. I'd say try it at least once especially since it's so rare in our area. read more

LOL!! I love reading the one star reviews about the spaghetti!! IT'S A PHILIPPINE FAST FOOD RESTURANT!! Soooooo.... what are you expecting, Spaghetti ala Mario Batali!?! Came here earlier with my little cousin from Germany, it was his first time trying American food. Ended up being the worst experience I have ever had and keep in mind I am a ww2 vet. Spent 3 hours in line just to get some dry fried chicken and It had hairs on it as well... disgusted. For a 3pc w one side it was 13.50 which felt a lil much while I could go to Big Joe's down the road a lil bit and get a 4pc w broasted potato cheaper. We also tried their chicken sammiches for 5.50 ea , surprisinly decent chunk of chicken not an over processed flat patty. Seasoned mayo was a bit light but it was a cute snack. They offer burgers and a form of spaghetti that scared the bajeezus out of me with its "sauce" touting ground beef (basic) hotdogs and chopped mango and something else (oh HELLLLLL no) picture on the menu wall wasn't even appealing , but to each their own .. What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong. They intentionally gave me the wrong order in a carry out bag. How do I know it was intentional? Because when I received my order in the to go bag at the counter I unwrapped my chicken sandwich and saw it was the cheaper chicken sandwich. When I pointed out my receipt of what I ordered the employee responded that the more expensive chicken sandwich was a 15 minute wait. I waited 20 minutes. The more expensive chicken sandwich is way bigger and in a different wrapping. So for as long as I had been dying to try Jollibee because I'd see how amazing it looked in YouTube mukbangs and online, I can't say I was as blown away as I was expecting. I went on the second day this store was opened and the fact that I had two wait outside in the freezing cold for an hour to get in and order really does not factor into my 3 star rating " REALLY IT DOESN'T". The chicken was certainly the star of the show, I was bummed they only served thighs and legs but the chicken was incredibly crispy, juicy and seasoned to the bone, I loved it. The spaghetti and peach mango pies were also chefs kiss, now this is where things kinda go left. I tried everything on the menu because I wasn't sure when I'd want to speak another hour in the cold waiting to get in so let's break it down. The sides aren't amazing, the mac and cheese is a no, the adobo rice was okay at best, the mashed potato's you could tell were boxed but super buttery and the gravy had a much different flavor than I'm used to. I also tried the burger steaks and you guys, just get stouffers Salisbury steak from your local grocery store. To wash it all down I got their pineapple quencher and it was refreshing but kinda tasted like just pineapple juice, so when I got home I added fresh lemon juice and that's literally all it needs. They only serve dark meat, only white meat is the chicken sandwich. Seating area is super small, trash cans were over flowing. Chicken was hot and juicy, the gravy was little to be desired. The fries were "meh" and the biscuits were nothing special either. I wouldn't recommend. Also count your chicken pieces if you get a bucket before you leave.
