Okay. So we have been here a few more times for the regular round which is still pretty darn good. This time while company is in town, we compared the Chicago Deep Dish with another pizza place. This was an awesome surprise. It is thick with cheese and topping. We really love the pizza sauce with chunky tomatoes with fennel and seasoning mostly on top. Two slices and done. First time experiencing this business of hearing great things. I called and placed my order of a large pizza, pickle, bread, and the antipasto salad. Staff were friendly when the order was picked up. Food smelled great on the drive home. Antipasto salad was a good portion and was the pickle bread was amazing. On to the star of the show. Hand tossed large round pizza with bacon and pineapple. Sweet and savory. Two problems... they messed up my order and had bacon and pepperoni. Savory and savory. They also over-cooked it. I called and spoke with the woman who took my order and she told me she wrote down pepperoni and not pineapple. She told me they close soon so there was nothing they could do for me. This is not customer service. This is not what I ordered. This is not a customer's fault that they do not repeat to confirm the order over the phone. When a customer places an order they assume it will be fulfilled correctly. There was no discount or offer to fix the pizza. It's a shame because size everything else was so good. What can I say? This place is awesome! I have not tried the entire menu but have had their pizzas, salads, breadsticks and such, and their lasagna. Everything is delicious! They truly care about their customers and if something is wrong with your pizza they want to fix it. The customer service there is phenomenal and the owner is a super nice guy. Not to be confused with my toilet, which is My Piss Place. In a city with such astronomically High Pizza standards as Detroit this one is not really going to rock your world. However they are super friendly and gave me two slices for the price of one. And I'm always, always going to give 5 stars for that unless the pizza sucks. And it doesn't suck - it's good. Would be better heated up more. I think they'd been sitting around for a while and could have been more fresh. But nevertheless I did enjoy them as I enjoy most Pizza in the Detroit area and I would definitely try this pizza again. I actually have apartments in several Italian cities. If you think my Milan place is swanky, you should see "My Pisa Place." And I like to slip small veggies under Princess Barbie's pillow at night, to see if it's really true, you know, the princess myth. I always put them in the same spot. I call it "My Peas Place." The guys here are also super friendly. However it may be My Pizza Place, but it isn't my favourite pizza place. For that you would need to go to Westland, or Downriver or to Allen Park or something like that. And this is much better than the Middle Eastern down the road (you know, My Pita Place), and I feel sorry for all of you that have yet to visit Detroit for food (this is My Pity Place). And I won't prosecute strangers who grab me without permission in My Pelvic Place (aka My Penis Place or My Pr**k Place), for the most part, at least my track record is not prosecuting those people, and there have been several. We have been meaning to try this place for a few years now. During quarantine I kept seeing people post their outstanding no-contact pickups, donations My Pizza Place has made to essential employees, and the owner is even shopping for an elderly employee to make sure they have everything they need without having to leave their house. I am blown away by their actions and want to support their business. We ordered a large pizza - half bacon/pepperoni and half pepperoni/green pepper, an order of cheese bread, and an antipasto salad. Everything looked amazing and tasted even better. Their cheese bread in particular was outstanding! Great food, great service, and run by truly caring people. First time trying My Pizza Place after my husband and I saw sponsored Facebook ads of their pickle pizza. As soon as I saw the pickle pizza, I knew I wanted to try it. I'm not a big pizza person like my husband, but after seeing this ad, I KNEW I wanted it ASAP. I initially wanted the pizza without the bacon, but it turned out as a great addition with the pickles and cheese. I also loved the sauce base being alfredo ranch instead of pizza sauce. It was a great complement. The crust was delicious as well! My husband ordered the Cheesy Detroiter 8 corner and loved the crunch from the cheesy baked crust! He said it's probably the best crust and sauce from a pizza he's had (and he's big into pizza!). You could hear the crunch when taking a bite into his pizza. I got a taste and i'm a fan of thin crust, or round, but this corner bite was so delicious! I ordered the small combo pickle pizza which came with cheese stix and we ended up getting the pickle stix, which I am not upset by! These are amazing and I love the jalapeño ranch that came with them. We will definitely be back, and I can't wait to try their other pizzas! read more

Considering this place has been in business for over 46 years, I feel silly for just now trying them, however I am glad to say I will it will not be our last time! The main reason for ordering from My Pizza Place was I wanted to try a dill pickle pizza and I remembered reading an article that said they made one. It was not on the printed menu I received with my order but it was on their online menu. Their loaded dill pickle pizza comes with dill pickles, cheddar and mozzarella, bacon, dill, and ranch Alfredo sauce and it was great! Everything went together very nicely. I am not a fan of bacon on pizza (I feel it usually overpowers every other flavor) but all the ingredients complemented each other very well. We also ordered an antipasto salad with Italian dressing (very good dressing BTW), and feta cheese sticks which were also great.
