The meat is a 10, or for the purpose of yelp ratings- 5 stars, sides=2.5/3.5 stars, and service 5 stars. All combinations come with baked beans, potato salad, and a roll. I believe they also offer macaroni salad and red beans, but I have not tried these. The baked beans taste like they are pork and beans straight out of a can. I make a mean baked bean, with bacon, mustard, ketchup, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, sautéed bell pepper, onion, and celery, so those are hard for me to swallow, her lies the 2.5 rating, but eaten together with the 3.5 star salad and superbly smoked and flavorful meat I manage them. I like the building resembling a fire station and the good old country style charm. The prices are right for our family of 5. Walking into Jon Jon's around closing time, the selection was very limited, and with my cousins and me having big appetites, we didn't know what to do. Yet the service was great as they offered suggestions and alternatives for us to choose from---even being cheaper than the family meal that we were originally gonna order! When we took the order to-go, everything was neatly packaged into containers and bags, and we were able to go around 8 minutes after placing our order. Bear in mind that we ordered roughly enough to cater for 8 people and this was a lot of food, which was surprising as everything came our extremely fast. Arriving home, we unpacked the food, ordering what was left, which was the brisket, chicken legs, ribs, and hotlinks, all being warm but not hot. All the meat was extremely tender and fell off the bone, we didn't mind getting our hands dirty and enjoying the food. The hotlinks are also extremely massive and homemade, they were also one of the most enjoyable parts of the meal. ' Needless to say, the reason I'm giving Jon Jon's 4 stars is cause of the food being slightly warm and limited parking when you arrive at the restaurant. Not about to go to hard because it's a family owned spot being ran by a brother and sister combo. For one I love to see my people getting down and getting to the bag. The atmosphere was cool nice clean place and the brother and sister were definitely nice and welcoming people. However, the ribs were a little dry and under seasoned the baked beans seemed to be canned and the potato salad was missing something. The sauce was nice just wished they had something for people with a spicier palate. Not sure how long the brother was in charge of the smoker but I'm more then sure with a little more time he'll become a pit master in no time. read more

A small place with very limited seating indoor and outdoor, Jon Jon's is a classic hole in the wall where you would expect to get some excellent BBQ. I had the BBQ Chicken with a side of potato salad and baked beans and it also included a roll. I ordered at a kiosk so and received my food really quickly so I was happy with how convenient everything was. The chicken was delicious, fall off the bone good with a sweet and tangy sauce that made me wish I had ordered more. It also had a nice smoke flavor on it while being very moist so I was very pleased with that's The baked beans were a little on the sweet side for me but I enjoyed it and the potato salad was well made. My husband and I were craving BBQ and decided to try this spot. Before we even pulled up we smelled the smoking of the meat. It's a small building, but they have big helpings of food. This is one of those "mom/pop" or "hole in the wall" joints that you can easily miss unless you are at a stop light distracted. They take cards and cash, have indoor and outdoor seating, and though decorated humbly, was very clean! I went with the brisket sliders (3) with the potato salad. I actually chose baked potato but didn't complain when they just gave me potato salad. The sides are small (about 1 ice cream scoop) but they were tasty. The brisket was tender, seasoned well, but not too salty or greasy. The bbq sauce has a slight kick and I drizzled it over and scarfed the sliders down quick. My husband ordered the ribs and he didn't leave a bite. I had to sneak in a bite and was surprised at the crispy outer and chewy inner bite.
