After waiting an hour, I was met with a man who has the least empathy I've ever experienced from a medical professional. He was happy to tell me the bad news, the worse news and the worst news. He seemed to enjoy saying it quickly just to get me out of the office. When he asked if I had questions i just said no so I could get out of there. Dr. Lee was amazing! It was a 5 star experience through and through. I was in excruciating pain and Dr. Lee's office fit me in quickly the same day. A root canal has never been this easy... Fabulous endodentist I know, no one looks forward to a root canal. I was in intense pain. I went to another dentist who told me it was irritated but he could do it right away. I went to doctor Lee who pointed out i had a bad infection and that he would need to do this in two steps. He said the pain is mostly coming from the infection. 3 dys later the pain was gone A couple of weeks later he finished and sealed up the root. I am glad i went to him. read more

AVOID THIS DENTIST! This dentist is very rude, rough, and unprofessional. Went in today because I was referred by my dentist for a consultation, and found out I needed a root canal. I have had root canals with other dentists before, and this experience with Jonathan D. Lee is by far THE WORST. The staff treats you like an animal, without any respect or dignity for humankind. No one explained what they were doing or provided any reassurance as they were banging on my teeth. The mouthpiece was covering my nose and I couldn't breathe -- I was trying to tell them to move it away but they did not even care or show concern that I was struggling. They were rushing (even though the waiting room was empty all morning), with equipment and tools falling on the floor and on my neck. Made me feel concerned about the cleanliness/hygiene of this place. The staff needs an attitude check because they literally threw the X-ray shield on my chest (and those things are made of lead!). I had a root canal done in Tijuana, MX and was in a lot of pain even a week after the procedure. I thought something must be wrong (moms form a FB group also suspected same), so I've taken a recommendation and came to this office. The staff was lovely. I have a neutral opinion of Mr Lee. He was just ok. Wasn't really friendly, nor rude. When I mentioned Tijuana, I felt a little judged by the expression on his face, but so what, I thought. He proceeded by shaving off a little from my temporary fill that didn't make a difference in my pain level, took an X-ray, and said that this is not the best root canal and I may have problems with it down the road. I don't know if it's true or not but another week later the pain stopped, and I went back to Tijuana to get the post and temporary crown. My tooth feels good and I'll get the crown put on in a week. Conclusion: I regret running to this dentist and paying an extra $150. I should have just waited as I was told by my dentist in Tijuana. But hey, live and learn, right? read more

Not fun to go see an endo, but Dr. Lee and his staff made my misery into a very pleasant experience. I was recommended by a friend to visit this endo and boy was that long drive worth it. Welcomed to a beautiful space with new dental equipment. Because of my high anxiety and childhood dentist trauma issues, I asked for options to not be sober. Doc prescribed an anxiety medication, which really helped me chill out. One of my roots were infected from my prior root canal, opted to get it cut off and save the tooth. Doc and staff paid attention to detail and made sure I was comfortable. Felt no pain during the procedure, just some nug and tug. Afterwards, ibuprofen hit the spot and all was fine. read more

I have never left anywhere so upset. Dentist could not get x-rays and hacked up my mouth trying (I have a bad gag reflex). I was bleeding and cut up. I had my root canal done here about 2 months ago and it was by far the BEST dental experience I've ever had. The office staff was wonderful and dr Lee was great! He was very straight to business and was very patient with all my questions. A great encounter for someone like me who is not thrilled when a redo of a previous root canal is needed. Had a less than pleasant experience here. My wife was referred to Dr. Lee for a root canal procedure by our dentist. Customer service seemed great. Although the procedure took longer than usual, and was more complicated, according to Dr. Lee, everything went well. Being our first time seeing someone else besides our usual dentist, we verified with office staff that the procedure would be covered by our insurance before, during, and after my wife's procedure was completed. They assured us that there was nothing to worry about and that everything was covered under our policy. It wasn't until several weeks later that we received a bill from Dr. Lee's office for $160+, to cover the balance which was not covered by our insurance. We were floored. This is the point when customer service went out the window. My wife was placed on "hold" several times, only to be forgotten. After about the fourth attempt, she was placed on hold again as the office employee reluctantly looked into our account, only to pick up the phone again after a long wait, to tell us that our insurance refused to pay the full balance on the services rendered. In a nutshell, employees were very passive aggressive, and simply dismissive. We were told that we had to pay the balance, or risk being sent to collections and charged additional fees. They also went ahead and got super defensive and stated that they actually don't have access to our policy coverage, and that they couldn't have told us what our policy does and doesn't cover (how convenient *sigh*). My wife and I acted proactively through our insurance, and after multiple phone conversations with them, and only after following their grievances procedure, were we able to resolve this issue. According to our insurance, the bottom line is that Dr. Lee's office was attempting to double dip by submitting multiple claims. Life lesson learned. Save yourself the headache and verify coverage through your insurance, instead of relying on illinformed office staff. Beware. One star because my wife did get a root canal, and it was successful. read more

Fantastic!!!! Came to the office as an emergency molar root canal. They fit me in the same day, even staying after hours to make sure I could get the procedure done. Wonderful office staff and Dr. Lee is beyond great. One of the only endos in the area that would take my insurance, which was even better. My primary dentist recommended that I see Dr. Lee in regards to a root canal. Dr. Lee and his staff were amazing, helpful, and professional. I needed to have a root canal performed on two separate teeth. Dr. Lee performed the first one, it was quick and painless and I was happy with the results. Unfortunately when I went back to have the second root canal done, it was too late as Dr. Lee could not save the tooth. Dr Lee said that he could perform the root canal to relieve the pain, but eventually I would need to have it removed. He strongly suggested that I have it removed rather than me waste my time and money. It was late in the afternoon, but Dr. Lee had his staff call and find an oral surgeon who could take me right away. After calling two oral surgeons he found one who could take me on such late notice. I highly recommend Dr. Lee, he has integrity, is professional and very helpful. read more
