Tofu Nuggets

My friend and I came here for lunch on a Thursday. It wasn't busy, so we were seated upon arrival. My friend made a comment about how the decor was inspired by multiple Asian cultures, not just Japanese, and that was interesting. Food: Their happy hour runs from opening until early evening. My friend and I both ordered from that menu. It was pretty big and had a good variety. Tofu Nuggets - These were crispy and good. It came with sweet chili sauce, which I enjoy, but the menu said spicy sauce so I was expecting something else. Vegetable Roll - This one was okay. It was mostly lettuce inside the roll. I would have appreciated more variety. Avocado & Cucumber Roll - a classic roll I'll always enjoy. My friend ordered the Eastvale Roll and the nigiri sampler off of the happy hour menu. She enjoyed her meal. I also checked into Yelp for a free scoop of ice cream. Service: Service was quick and efficient. Our food came our pretty promptly, and our server was nice. When we left, he said he would see us tomorrow. I thought that was funny. TL;DR - large happy hour menu with good food and quick service

Portions are good here. The pieces of sushi are huge and very fresh. I recommend coming here during happy hour if you like the rolls. The chefs are super nice, and the service is always friendly. I always order nirgiri sushi in Salmon Belly, Yellowtail and Ono. Salmon skin handroll is really good and the O.M.G roll is a must.(I add lemon on mine)

5 piece Gyoza ($4.99)

The reviews on Jono's Japanese are true. Jono's is small, unassuming and in one of the more random strip malls you'll find. I passed by this place so many times and never noticed it was there. It wasn't until the kiddo wanted to try good Japanese food that I took notice. Oh, and any true thing about the reviews, Jono's makes for good eating. We arrived at Jono's before it got busy. There are like ten tables in this place and during the course of our meal they were all full at one point or another. So keep that in mind! We each ordered three item bento combos. I got the teriyaki chicken, pork cutlet and crunchy roll. The portions were extremely generous and everything was delicious. For an appetizer we had the happy hour 5 piece fried gyoza. Wish I'd have gotten another 5 piece just for me lol. Service was friendly but they get a lot of to go orders but they do their best! "See you tomorrow!!" (IYKYK) Would I go to Jono's again? Absolutely. The food was delicious and I had a better experience here than a nearby, more conveniently sushi restaurant. Highly recommended!

2 x OMG ROLL & Rainbow Roll

Disappointing! Paid approximately $50 for 2 x OMG & a Rainbow Roll. OMG ROLL was saturated with sauce and bled over the caterpillar. I've dined in before and got the same rolls. Why are these smaller? SMH... And why is the caterpillar not separated???? I could've gone to Costco Sushi platter which is cheaper & better quality/presentation.

10/5 service! Feng and our server were very attentive! It was also a very clean environment with friendly atmosphere. The rolls were made fresh, with great plating and happy hour portion sizes. I'd fully recommend this place; my only gripe is that the parking is very limited - however it's out of their control. Would recommend!

Great little sushi spot in Eastvale. With all the recent sushi spots that have recently opened in Eastvale, Jono's is definitely one of the better ones. They've got a wide verity of food and the quality of their fish is definitely good. There are a big selections of rolls and they've got enough of a variety. The problem with some sushi places is their rolls all taste the same but Jono's are generally unique. Plus you can ask for "fresh wasabi" so it's a nice little perk. Service here is really good. Been here a handful of times and the staff has always been great. The restaurant itself is pretty small so there aren't many seats. In a way it kinda lends to the Japanese feel. Overall great spot. Probably the best sushi restaurant in Eastvale.

I was absolutely taken back by this spot. It's located in a super small well....I can't even say it's a strip mall but there's a 7 eleven, Indian, pizza and taco spot. We arrived on a monday evening around 630pm and it was Hella crowded with 2 big parties. I was blown away at how small this place is and although I was skeptical I was so happy I had given them a try. What we ordered 12pc sashimi with rice, salad and miso soup Super fresh Tuna, salmon, albacore, yellow tail-5/5 HH Crunch Roll, a simple typical Roll that we get- 5/5 HH Eastvale - shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, avocado. Top- pepper seared albacore, avocado and Japanese dressing 5/5 Edamame- fresh and green steamed or boiled perfectly not mushy at all 5/5 I'd come back and order different items. The service was fast and friendly!

I came here on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. I placed an order on the phone and my order was ready for pick up within 10 minutes. I ordered the Toro Handroll (MP $12) and the Hidden Valley Cut Roll (In: shrimp tempura, kani kama crab, avocado and cucumber. Top: tuna, avocado, with eel sauce + spicy mayo). It was most $30 for the two items. So it's a bit pricey. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're hungry! But it is sushi... The sushi was flavorful & fresh and the service was professional & fast. Parking is very limited. I came here just after the lunch hour rush so it was empty inside and I secured a parking spot.

Jono's a small sushi place close to home that I recently discovered... They have a really good happy hour 7 days a week... I have been here twice now, and it is pretty good... I definitely recommend going during Happy hour for some good sushi at a good price... The sushi is good and taste fresh, the times I've gone it has not been busy so the customer service has been great... The sushi does take a bit long sometimes to come out... and they messed up my sushi order they brought me something I did not order and took it back but still charged me... So make sure to double check your bill when paying. Overall it's a good sushi place close to home, the appetizers, bento box and sushi are all pretty good.. I will be going back when I'm in the mood for sushi and don't want to drive to far...

This is a joke 13.00 for 8 tiny pieces . Over priced for what you get. Better off going somewhere else.

Great food is important, but great service is what turns a meal into an exceptional dining experience, and he delivered both. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, he was attentive, prompt, respectful, and genuinely kind. I also noticed how he interacted with the other tables around us. Every guest seemed to feel like they had his full attention, which is a rare quality. I work in an industry where I do a lot of hiring, and Luis is exactly the kind of person we look for. His professionalism, attentiveness, and customer service made a lasting impression. Thank you, Luis, for making a great meal even better. We'll definitely be back!

Yesterday I had one of their seafood salads, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and you could tell it was made with care. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you're looking for authentic, fresh, and delicious seafood, this is definitely a place worth visiting. I'll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu!

This is one of those places that really needs your Yelp help. It is located in an eclectic…read moreneighborhood, a very rural area called Mira Loma, but on a well-known, main thoroughfare. Google Maps turns you into a dusty asphalt driveway where, in the front is one stucco building that might have been someone's house at one time, and in the back is one very worn, almost sleazy, one-story building where three tiny Mom & Pop businesses compete for space. There is nothing fancy to see here, with the exception of the tiny, covered patio at the entry and a claustrophobic ordering counter on the other side of a sliding glass door. The patio walls are lined with bamboo, a couple taxidermied blue marlin, and some seaside-themed, tropical decor. There are maybe 4 tables and a cluster of chairs. I imagine, in the heat of the summer, it gets pretty hot and uncomfortable in here. And yet, reading the food reviews will make your heart go pitter-patter. Their specialty is mariscos with a Baja spin. Ceviche, shrimp cocktails, fish soup, fish tacos and burritos, to name a few. They also have swordfish and salmon on their menu. We came for the fish tacos and were we in store for a surprise! The chunk of fried fish in each taco was as big as a huge chicken tender. Our tacos were filled with moist, great tasting white fish (not tilapia)! The tortillas, hence, had to be the larger size, not street taco sized. The batter was crispy and exceptional, with a light, herbal flavor. The finishing touch was a pile of toppings, including shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, finely chopped cucumber, and an insanely delicious white crema-mayo sauce. I think the unexpected cucumber added a unique, refreshing element to an already excellent taco. The only downfall was that the corn tortilla fell apart before I could get it into my mouth. Heh, I can live with that...just give me a fork. If you thought the price of 1 taco ($4.50) was too expensive, you are wrong. One taco here is the equivalent of two tacos elsewhere. That's a great deal! This is not fast food. The fish is cooked to order. Plan on a wait. Although this is essentially a covered, outdoor dining enclosure with a dutch door style gate, please note. Pets are not allowed. There is no pet-friendly section, nor shady areas to park in their bleak parking lot. The irony of this was the number of off-leash dogs we saw wandering around the parking lot. We saw three small to medium sized dogs, and no owner. We ended up bringing our food and personna-non-grata pup home. They did a nice job with the fish tacos, and one of their customers assured me the fried and/or grilled shrimp tacos and mojo de ajo shrimp were excellent. This means only one thing...we shall return, but without the chihuahua fur baby.

We ordered whole shrimp, quail eggs, and sausages with the Crab N Spice sauce, the Cajun pasta, and an extra all-in sauce on the side. Our servers were friendly and explained everything thoroughly, as it was our first time here. They have plenty of options for the shrimp: peeled, heads off, etc. Our food came rather quickly after placing the order. The table was spacious and ready, lined with papers and a bucket for our trash. Our water was always full, and they checked in on us at the right time so we never felt like our servers abandoned us during our meal. The shrimp was cooked perfectly in the bag. My mistake was ordering the all-in on the side, because that is definitely my favorite sauce! and unfortunately made the Crab N Spice sauce milder than it was. I love the quail eggs in there! Sausages were okay. The letdown was the Cajun pasta. It felt lacking in flavor. Good thing we had the all-in sauce on the side, so it came in handy for adding a bit of flavor to the pasta. The pasta itself was cooked nicely. We will be back with the family and try the other items on the menu. The place is very spacious and can accommodate large groups.
