Went here for a lunch bday for my sissy in law. This was a good Japanese restaurant that if you are in eastvale. I must say the food was delicious but the fried rice was on the saltier side had to drink lots of water every-time I took a spoonful of the friend rice. The presentation and how careful and friendly the server were was a top notch! The interior was nice i liked the "No we're oldies no wifi just like 1970."

After hearing about this restaurant from my aunt, I finally was able to give this place a try. Keep in mind that they also have another location in Norco. This place is not that big, but the atmosphere and vibe makes a difference when you go in. Everyone is super nice. Keep in mind that I only came this time just to get take out. I was able to try the Red Dragon, and the Mango Tango Roll. Both rolls were part of their 5 Piece Happy Hour Roll Special. I love that I get to try different rolls. The fish tasted fresh and the mango was excellent with the salmon. Keep in mind this isn't one of those AYCE restaurants, but as I am older I appreciate the quality of the food here. Love how they always say "See you tomorrow". Can't wait to try other sushi and food on their menu. Until next time!

So kind so nice always love coming here. They always have a smile on your face and they always put one back on yours. If you're grumpy great food had the Norco and limonite roll today. Enjoyed the heck out of it. Thank you.

o9.13.2o25 Saturday night dinner. There's no way there isn't a need to wait. We waited for probably 15-20mintes along with 2 other parties. We all got seated the same time, which was pretty cool. This place is not very big but the foods were good and service was great. They tell every customer "See you tomorrow" as they exit. We got the Sashimi Sampler E, the steak & scallop teppanyaki, and california rolls. All were very delicious and the fried rice was also bomb. We really enjoyed the meal and hope to visit again soon!

The sushi quality and preparation of food can use a lot of work. I got 3 bento boxes to-go (chicken katsu, beef teriyaki and salmon) and all of them were so rough to eat. The salmon was dry and overcooked, drenched in teriyaki, the beef teriyaki was supposed to be medium rare but it was well done and tough to chew, the chicken katsu was rubbery. The quality of sashimi in one of the boxes was so unfortunate, the fish did not look fresh. See pic. I tried to give this place another try but I think that's my last visit.

Remember years ago, and I mean years ago, when sushi restaurants were small with basic tables tons of handwritten menus on the walls? Well this is that place. It looks very nostalgic and like your cute little hole in the wall sushi spot in your neighborhood that you go to when you get home from work. After living here for the last seven years, we actually decided to stop in. The menu is expensive and very affordable. The staff was very attentive and always make sure we had what we needed as pictured. We got the sashimi combos. The cuts of fish were giant. And enough for one to share, but why would you? Not pictured are the three giant hand rolls we ordered thinking that our dinners wouldn't be enough. The combos come with rice, soup and salad, but our waitress gave us the option to double up on soup or salad. You also have an option to have white rice, brown rice or fried rice. For two combos and three handles the bill was about $70. So if you're looking for a nice little cute date night or something to scratch the itch of needing sushi, this is the place.

I was super skeptical after trying this place after COVID years ago from a very overpriced terrible experience. I ordered from here on accident thinking it was a different Japanese restaurant until I started driving. I ordered their Valentines special for 2 and 4 orders of California rolls and gyoza for the kids. The Valentine special was called "O-fish-ially-yours" for $99: Edamame, 2 soup, 2 salad, Otoro roll, Rainbow row, 2x - 6 piece sashimi of Salmon, Yellowtail, Albacore, Tuna It was expected to have a long wait time and waited 50 minutes for an online order on a Saturday night on Valentines. I went home to show the family and was pretty impressed for an online pick up on presentation. Now for the taste test... it was absolutely AWESOME. I don't know what they changed but the fish was fresh, the sushi rice was perfect, not like it came straight from the rice cooker years ago with no taste, and the sauces on the rolls were spot on, not salty or overpowering and I've had plenty of sushi over the years. This place totally turned around and will definitely be back for more. I hope this is the new consistency. Thanks for a great Valentines Day Dinner. :) I guess this time the above average prices has been justified by the quality. No complaints! UPDATE: My wife reminded me that I was so disappointed years ago that I called to speak to the manager and complain about my meal without leaving a negative review since they just opened. Here we are years later. Nice!!

Love this place. They're consistently great, small but worth the wait. The servers are very nice and welcoming. Prices are pretty good too. The sushi is all good, the teppanyaki is also very good.

Grabbed dinner with my friend for pick up, here was our experience. AMBIANCE: Parking: Plaza parking so we didn't have any issues Seating: Room for about 40 people. Great for small groups. Vibes: Welcome to the Inland Empire. It's not too flashy, it's suburbia central for the most part. The spot itself is a casual but effortful setup from the Japanese decor, friendly welcoming, a tv for sports, and lite rock music. Great place for family, friends, or solo dining. FOOD: Toro's Salad (Recommend) Refreshing - cold slabs of shrimp, tuna, yellowtail, and salmon. Complemented with avocado, greens, and cucumber. For something light with variety, this is a good order. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Awesome! I walked in, was welcomed and my order was ready for pick up. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 stars. Pretty solid. Good prices, good selections, and a pleasant experience. Inland Empire is not known for sushi but this is a pretty solid spot. TIPS: * Toro means fatty part of the fish

Insert music with fireworks and a bass load of party mixes! That amazing feeling is what this place gives as soon as you walk in! This place is consistent with amazalicious food and outstanding service every time. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the team with great smiles and genuine happiness. The atmosphere is similar to what you will walk into in Japan. Very intimate and festive cultural decorations. The team members are attentive and the owners are open to adjusting the ingredients to your preference when possible. We ordered the following (1-5 with 5 being amazeballs): Bento: salmon teriyaki, shrimp tempura, all tuna sashimi with rice and salad. 5 The sashimi and salmon were extremely fresh. The sauce wasn't overpowering but had the perfect flavor balance. The tempura shrimp was hot and crispy on the outside and the shrimp was tender and flavorful. The sauce was light and complimentary. Teppanaki NY steak and scallops medium rare 5 The steak was tender and flavorful. The scallops were cooked perfectly! Tender and firm. The flavor was on point and wasn't buried in veggies like most places. The fried rice was definitely a flavor booster! Bento: Crunchy roll, sushi sampler and teriyaki beef. 5. Everything was fresh and the meat was flavorful and tender. Sushi was soft and fresh. The seafood was tender and definitely yummy. Toro and OMG Roll 5. One word! Perfect! Calamari rings 5 Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Not overly salted and perfect with the sauce. Bluefin tuna was caught today! 5 This was beyond yummylicious! Literally melted in our mouths! Even the fried banana ala mode was fresh! Our tummies were so stuffed and our taste buds were am beyond happy!

A bit of a late post- I didn't know what to expect when I arrived at this charming little sushi joint, but I was pleasantly surprised! We arrived during happy hour, which is conveniently offered most of the day from Monday to Thursday and even longer on weekends. Just in time at 6:30 PM, we took advantage of the great timing. We ordered six rolls along with a large Sapporo: The Red Dragon, Rainbow, Jalapeno, Spicy Tuna, Crunchy Salmon, and OMG rolls. My favorites were definitely the Rainbow, OMG, and Red Dragon. Each roll was delicious, and the extensive menu means I'll definitely be back to try even more rolls. Missing star because the other rolls were just mehhh like not good at all and the service was ok.

Happy Hour Menu - March 2025

Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is small, but feels very comfortable. Beautiful lighting and decor along the walls. The staff was super attentive, coming by to check how our food turned out and giving us a heads up for last call on happy hour orders. The Happy Hour deals were great, $7-9 for 5 pieces of sushi. This made it easy to mix and match different rolls. I ordered an Otoro and Mango Tango roll; both were delicious, but I would return for the Otoro roll. The tempura shrimp inside had a fantastic crunch. The Sashimi Sampler came with a variety of large pieces of fish. Wasabi and ginger available upon request. Want to come back to try the hibachi lunch!

The Fuji apple sake and the Michelada were both delicious and full of flavor. We ordered a couple hand rolls spicy tuna and salmon and they were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. We enjoyed them so much we ended up ordering a second round. The Mango Tango sushi roll was also fantastic the mango was fresh and sweet and really brought the whole dish together. The service was great overall. Our server was attentive and very helpful. It did take a little while for our order to be taken, but the restaurant was busy, so it's completely understandable. All in all, it was a great experience and a perfect date night.

What happened wasn't just poor service, it was a serious food safety issue that could have had much worse consequences. We came on a Tuesday evening with a family of five. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, there was only one other table, but all of the female staff spent most of their time on their phones. Our server took our order, someone else dropped off the food, and then she completely disappeared. We had to wave her down just to get drink refills. My sister ordered two sushi rolls. While eating the Mango Tango Roll, she noticed something tasted strange. With only three bites left, she pulled a large piece of clear plastic out of her mouth. We then checked the remaining pieces and found more plastic rolled inside the sushi. She had already eaten most of the roll before realizing she had been chewing and swallowing food contaminated with plastic. It was absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. When we flagged down our server, her response was, "It's just the plastic they use when rolling the sushi." As if that somehow made it okay. There should never be plastic inside a customer's food, regardless of how it got there. Instead of showing concern, she acted like it was no big deal. The only thing they did was remove the cost of the half plastic eaten sushi roll. No manager came to our table to apologize. The sushi chef never acknowledged the mistake or apologized either. In fact, as we were leaving, the chef simply yelled, "Thank you," without any recognition of what had happened. The complete lack of accountability and concern was almost as disturbing as finding plastic in the food itself. We still ended up paying over $100 for our meal and left with terrible service, a ruined dining experience, and genuine concerns about the restaurant's food safety standards. After nearly a decade of supporting this business, this experience has completely destroyed our trust. If this is how serious food safety incidents are handled, I can't recommend eating here.

They have an impressive menu, very diverse. I like that you can order either large sushi rolls, or the smaller, Happy Hour, 5 pc. size so you can try more and not hate yourself as much when you waddle out the door. The rolls are beautifully made, made with very fresh ingredients, the ratio of rice to filling is perfect (i.e. not too much rice), and the rice is nicely flavored. Their tempura has great flavor, the poke salad is outstanding, the miso soup is rich, not watered down, but the biggest "prize" IMHO is the fish collar (kama), either salmon or hamachi. Here is where you separate the men from the boys. They do not sell old kama that has come from a food supplier's bag, frozen. They only use fresh, the same quality as their sushi, because it comes from the same whole fish they have selected to filet for sushi. Taste it and you know you have hit the jackpot. Before they broil it, they simply slather Japanese mayo on it and salt & pepper. There is something about the mayo that makes it sing a whole new tune. The kama is moist, tender, and comes with their tasty, house ponzu sauce. It's a real treat. Bonus points for being very reasonably priced relative to other sushi houses and they tend to be larger as well. To take advantage of the Happy Hour menu, it is available every day of the week. Monday through Thursday until 7pm, Friday through Sunday until 5 pm. It's an abbreviated menu but has great choices, fairly priced. Their service is tops, seating is limited (probably not more than 40), the interior is warm and quaint, and parking is no problem. And don't forget to respond to their friendly farewell with a duplicate, heartfelt "See you tomorrow" as you leave! Enjoy!

Our anticipation for a special family meal was unfortunately tempered by several service issues that we believe warrant your attention. Upon being seated, our party experienced a significant delay of approximately forty-five minutes before a chef was assigned to our table to commence the cooking process. This initial wait was further compounded when, upon the chef's eventual arrival, it became apparent that he did not have all the necessary ingredients readily available to prepare the meals for our group of eight, causing additional minor delays. Despite these operational challenges, we were pleased to observe a notable improvement in our dining experience once the chef began cooking and actively engaging with our table. The quality of the cuisine was exceptional, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the delicious food prepared. However, we must also highlight a comfort issue that affected our overall experience. The air conditioning system appeared to be insufficient in counteracting the considerable heat generated by the hibachi cooking tables, leading to a somewhat uncomfortably warm environment throughout our meal. We trust this feedback will be valuable in identifying areas for improvement to ensure a more consistently seamless and comfortable dining experience for your future patrons. The item we ordered was the Jalepeno Tuna Tempura Roll. Firstly, I always read the ingredients and saw that it came stuffed with cream cheese. They didn't " remake " the roll as you fasley stated Mike. The roll came out just as we asked , without the cream cheese because my man doesn't like it that much. After the roll came out without the cream cheese, we both took one bite and immediately didn't like it and told our waiter we didn't like the taste right after. He asked if we wanted them to remake it & clearly told him no it's okay, we will just have the rest of our rolls that were already on our table & he took the Jalepeno Tempura Roll away. As my man stated, the problem came when they didn't want to remove the charge for the Jalepeno Tempura Roll when 1. We didn't like it & 2. We didn't eat it. We first asked the waiter if it could be removed, we thought it was a mistake that they didn't remove it. He told us no which was completely absurd. So we asked to speak to the owner. She came out with one word and said " problem ? " which is extremely unprofessional & rude. My man expressed that he seems it's unfair that the charge won't be removed since we didn't like it and didn't eat it. He expressed how he's been coming to Zip for 14 years & the owner always sees us there. We were loyal customers and all she tried to do was rebuttal with us which was very disappointing. Eventually they took the charge off but my man was very upset that we had to go through that. I wish the owner would've realized a $12 charge wasn't worth losing a loyal customer. My man simply would've left double the amount in tip for the inconvenience as he always does. In my opinion, I never thought Zip was an outstanding Sushi spot but my man always loved to take us there. I'm very happy we won't be going there anymore & now I can introduce him to 5 star sushi spots! My advice: If you don't know all the facts and information that has happened in a situation please keep your comments to yourself. And Mike FYI, we would never eat an entire roll of sushi & expect not to pay for it! Not the story, not the case.
