I stopped by around 9 PM, about an hour before closing, and was surprised the restaurant was still pretty busy. We were seated right away, and the staff greeted us warmly and recommended a few popular dishes. The menu has a great variety of sushi, sashimi, appetizers, and specialty items. My favorite dish was the agedashi tofu. It was crispy on the outside, soft and silky on the inside, and the light broth with bonito flakes added so much flavor. We also ordered the fried oysters, which were perfectly crispy and paired really well with the dipping sauce. The restaurant was clean, service was fast, and the prices were reasonable for the quality. One thing I really liked was that they had a TV showing the game, so it was nice to enjoy dinner while watching sports. Overall, it's a casual, comfortable Japanese restaurant with fresh food, friendly service, and plenty of menu options. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes next time.

Experience with to go order of 12 pcs sushi omakase, truly not disappointed. Fresh, good quality and delicious. I can't go with Tenmaya.. a great service, overall is a great verdict. If u around Eastvale, this spot is strongly recommend.

Happened to be the last people to leave... so thank you so much for being patient with us! The Wagyu fried rice: amazing Fried SSC: definitely will order again Hamachi Kama: not bad, wished it would have been scaled a bit more or skinned cooked. Edamame: average, wanted it to be pieces of garlic and something more but did the trick. NO Roll: fresh, good flavor and I'm a sucker for lemon pieces with the rind for depth. Loved this Inside was clean, soft music and overall the experience was great.

10/10 I was shocked at how good and fresh everything was compared to restaurants by the beach. The Kama toro and salmon belly melts in your mouth and you can't go wrong with the sushi. By far one of my favorite places and will definitely be back

Well, this place was a bit disappointing. If you look at my other reviews, I'm pretty generous with my scores, giving the benefit of the doubt to the place, but this wasn't the best experience we could have had. We were seated pretty quickly, which was nice. The server came right away and asked for our drink order. I asked for a water along with tea and didn't get the water until I reminded the server, when he was refilling drinks for people in my party (which is a pretty long time). The calamari was pretty hard and crunchy, but not in a good way. The inside was chewy and wouldn't break apart when you bit it. The katsu was okay. Not a fan of the sauce and the bottom of the chicken was pretty greasy, but it was juicy. I did like the salad, and we never received our miso soups, which are supposed to come with the meal and didn't realize it until part way through eating our entrees, so at that point it wasn't worth it to ask. The tonkatsu ramen, wasn't my son's favorite and he loves that stuff. My wife wasn't a fan of the fried rice, but said the teriyaki chicken was okay. I think what put the icing on the cake was that it took forever to get the bill picked up. My wife ended up getting a host to pick it up and run it. I do the like interior, it looks nice, but at this point I would rather go to Wabi Sabi Eastvale for food and service to our expectations. I will try this place again to see if it was just an off day for them.

My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for the last 3 years. We got the Premium Chirashi Lunch Donburi and fried calamari. The lunch donburi came with soup and salad and it was all delicious. The fish literally melted in your mouth. The calamari was decent but we prefer the other type of calamari that are not shaped like onion rings. The service was excellent. Jacob took care of us and was always friendly and checking up on us. Environment and area are great. It's located in a great plaza of other restaurants. We will definitely be back.

Pretty good sushi spot around this area with reasonable prices. We ordered the sake roll (shrimp tempura with salmon), chirsashi bowl, soft shell crab tempura, and some yellowtail sashimi. It also includes complimentary salad and miso soup with the bowl. The place was clean and looks upscale. Overall good dining experience.

Fish quality here is Superb! Tenmaya is located in the Hamner Place Center. My boyfriend and I, came here on a Sunday night for dinner. Once you step in you are greeted by the host, who offers you a VIP loyalty card which is free to sign up for (if you visit their restaurant and spend a certain amount, you get a discount on future dining). The interior of the restaurant is modern and elevated, it is a great place to take a date, or dine with a group of 4-6 people. What we ordered: Pink whisper drink 7/10- light & refreshing Ankimo 9/10- fresh &creamy Chilean sea bass 8/10- I like to try CSB at every restaurant I visit that has it on the menu. Their seabass is good, but I've had better. Truffle udon 7/10- creamy & udon cooked al dente (just how I like it). Sashimi deluxe platter 10/10: my boyfriend and I had not seen any photos of the sashimi deluxe pot that we ordered, so as soon as the server brought it out, our eyes widened and jaws dropped. First of all, the platter was absolutely beautiful , there was dry ice that was cascading out of the bamboo fixture, like a waterfall, over the bed of ice, and pieces of the sashimi weee decorated with fresh wasabi and 18K gold. Our server gave us a presentation, so that we knew what we were eating, and once we picked up the first piece of sashimi with our chopsticks and ingested it, it was LOVE at FIRST BITE! Although most of the items were tried were good. The Sashimi was the definite star for us. My boyfriend and I agreed that our main focus to order on our next visit is the sashimi. Tenmaya has become my favorite Sashimi restaurant in town!

    Fantasy Roll. Delish and creamy.

Stopped by today to have lunch with my husband and we were craving Japanese food. And this place didn't disappoint. I ordered the fantasy roll and my husband had the chicken bento box. Both were just delish. And Alyssa was just super. She made a great suggestion for my husband's bento box. We thank her for doing that. The iced matcha green tea with lemon was delish. Alyssa suggested that too. The decor inside is just very clean and beautiful. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area. Great food great service and a beautiful feel to the restaurant.

Came here on a weekday afternoon with my toddler and I was one of the only two parties there, which I absolutely loved. I ordered the sushi and sashimi combination from their lunch menu and everything came out so fast. The fish was fresh and tasty. I ordered their fried oysters too and they were delicious! Bonus points for the beautiful plating. The waitress was super helpful and kind. I'm definitely going to have to come back to try the toro uni.

The taste of Japan, after missing the omakase there this hit the spot. Service was on point and they seem to be pretty busy but such a cute spot. Definitely one to come back to.

I ordered the Filet Mignon and Colossal Shrimp. The taste is great and the Filet Mignon was cooked to my specification. Our waiteess Allyssa was great and took good care of our table. I will come back again.

If you love sushi with a nice presentation then here it is! The food is so good and the vibe is friendly . It is a hidden gem. The staff is amazing. The jumbo scallops are a must try. We had the premium platter and the uni toro! The beer tower was great too.

Yesterday I had one of their seafood salads, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and you could tell it was made with care. I'll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu!

This is one of those places that really needs your Yelp help. It is located in an eclectic…read moreneighborhood, a very rural area called Mira Loma, but on a well-known, main thoroughfare. Google Maps turns you into a dusty asphalt driveway where, in the front is one stucco building that might have been someone's house at one time, and in the back is one very worn, almost sleazy, one-story building where three tiny Mom & Pop businesses compete for space. There is nothing fancy to see here, with the exception of the tiny, covered patio at the entry and a claustrophobic ordering counter on the other side of a sliding glass door. The patio walls are lined with bamboo, a couple taxidermied blue marlin, and some seaside-themed, tropical decor. There are maybe 4 tables and a cluster of chairs. I imagine, in the heat of the summer, it gets pretty hot and uncomfortable in here. And yet, reading the food reviews will make your heart go pitter-patter. Their specialty is mariscos with a Baja spin. Ceviche, shrimp cocktails, fish soup, fish tacos and burritos, to name a few. They also have swordfish and salmon on their menu. We came for the fish tacos and were we in store for a surprise! The chunk of fried fish in each taco was as big as a huge chicken tender. Our tacos were filled with moist, great tasting white fish (not tilapia)! The tortillas, hence, had to be the larger size, not street taco sized. The batter was crispy and exceptional, with a light, herbal flavor. The finishing touch was a pile of toppings, including shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, finely chopped cucumber, and an insanely delicious white crema-mayo sauce. I think the unexpected cucumber added a unique, refreshing element to an already excellent taco. The only downfall was that the corn tortilla fell apart before I could get it into my mouth. Heh, I can live with that...just give me a fork. If you thought the price of 1 taco ($4.50) was too expensive, you are wrong. One taco here is the equivalent of two tacos elsewhere. That's a great deal! This is not fast food. The fish is cooked to order. Plan on a wait. Although this is essentially a covered, outdoor dining enclosure with a dutch door style gate, please note. Pets are not allowed. There is no pet-friendly section, nor shady areas to park in their bleak parking lot. The irony of this was the number of off-leash dogs we saw wandering around the parking lot. We saw three small to medium sized dogs, and no owner. We ended up bringing our food and personna-non-grata pup home. They did a nice job with the fish tacos, and one of their customers assured me the fried and/or grilled shrimp tacos and mojo de ajo shrimp were excellent. This means only one thing...we shall return, but without the chihuahua fur baby.

AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)

When we first walked in, the place looked empty, and my wife and I almost considered leaving. Just as we were about to head out, a server came over, seated us, and explained the menu. The $45 menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes such as escargot (ốc), pho, and bò né (Vietnamese sizzling beef steak), among many others. We ordered escargot with tamarind sauce, oysters with cheese, a lobster special, rau muống (water spinach) with garlic, glass noodles, and a ribeye steak. This isn't a typical buffet--each dish is cooked to order. It took about 15 minutes since there were only two chefs, but the wait was absolutely worth it. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The lobster was a whole lobster with claws, and the ribeye was a generous cut served sizzling at the table. The portions are large, and our server kindly warned us ahead of time--we're glad we listened! The owner was friendly, and the service was attentive throughout our meal. My wife and I loved this place and will definitely be coming back. It's great to have quality Vietnamese food nearby without having to travel all the way to OC.
