We hired this company to replace a window on the top floor of our apartment building. I did find them here on yelp. This company is very professional and very nice. They came out and gave us an estimate for our window. The price beat many other companies! And it included disposal etc. We decided to go with them of course. We did have to wait about two weeks for the window as it had to be ordered. As soon as it came in, they called to schedule for the installation. Two men showed up to do the work and it took under two hours, including clean up. Workers were very nice and new exactly what to do. I don't typically do these, but I had to post something to reward the amazing service. I worked with Mike to get some quotes on the milgard quietline series in my house. He was very upfront about the estimate and was responsive to all my emails. At the end of the day, after reviewing my situation, we both decided together that it might not be the best idea to get the windows. There's no better service when you're dealing with a contractor that is honest with you about whether the investment of $3000 will yield results. He could have easily gone with my desire to get the windows, but he knew what was the right thing. I recommend Mike to anyone who is interested in installing new windows. Day of installation 01/13/14 two trucks with crew arrived with windows. Jon's window and Awning crew did not bother to put any padding or wraps to protect vynil windows and were just stacked on the truck with no protection. Jon's Window and Awning crew did not use truck lift or scaffolding instead performed a quiet amazing but totally unsafe performace worthy of acrobatic performances of likes of Circus De Soleil, by basically putting two ladders in parallel and having each guy guy climb separate ladder while hoding one side of it from other end. Which ofcourse lead to damages and scratches to the windows, however that did not stop the crew from proceeding with installation.Dirt and wall damages ranging from cracks to screw driver hole were left all over brand new plastere walls even though crew was made aware that walls were just plastered. Shattered glass from old window was left on patio and not cleaned. Windows were not properly leveled and at least one case closing latch does not properly operate. Two windows that were installed were wrong color and sizing but still installed and "FORCED TO FIT". No weather proof and sound proof framing were installed rendering high end triple pane Milguard Quietline windows useless for the purpose. One of the window panes in process of installation has fell out of framing and shattered, and I had to find out from my neighbor that there was a problem. Next morning when I called inquire whether or not email with complains was received I was told by Connie that from now on Milguard factory service will have to take care of it. When I asked how it is possible to repair vanyl plastic window scratches or construction knife punctured holes, I was told " THEY WILL HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT. read more

Jon's Window and Awning did a great job replacing old and rotting windows at my house; three in the living room and another in one of the bedrooms. Two of the living room windows were replaced with one huge picture window. These two windows were next to the fireplace and had a protruding firewood box next to it. This firewood box needed to be removed in order to frame the picture window. The crew had to break out a lot of stucco to do this. With the huge amount of stucco taken out, I was concerned that stucco patch work will look obvious. My concerns were unfounded. After they were done, you can't tell that any stucco patch work was done. They even matched the color. If one didn't know, they would swear that the window has been there for years. Jon is very responsive and listens to your needs. Their prices are fair. Their crew worked fast and arrived when they said they would; this helps with my busy schedule. The crew also covered the work areas to minimize dust/debris and they cleaned up afterwards. I am very satisfied with the work they did and would highly, highly recommend them. read more

I realized when I need my awnings replaced and Jon came to give an estimate, that I had used the company 10 years previously to replace my kitchen and breakfast area windows. The job at that time was perfect. The stucco work on the outside was not discernible from the original 1926 work and the Windows continue to be lovely and high quality. The new awnings turned out to be spectacular, also with a very nice patio cover that Jon suggested we add. The work is timely and professional and the prices fair and reasonable.
