Fabulous meal! My husband and I enjoyed everything! We started with the homemade bread with pesto. The crust was perfect and the pesto flavorful. He had the Eggplant Parmesan and said the sauce was delicious. I had the grilled salmon salad with quinoa, prosciutto, melon and arugula, a fantastic combination of savory and mildly sweet. Just had my birthday dinner at Jordans. The baked Brie is a must, it was better than any other Brie we have had. I had the porterhouse special which melted in my mouth like butter. They have about 8 types of burgers. The bf got one of them and it had a thick juicy patty, not overcooked. A bite of his burger made me regret the trout special I ordered which came with some type of rice pilaf salad with cherries. Went last night based on the reviews on Yelp... and wasn't disappointed. My wife and I had great meals, although she had only the appetizer crab cakes and a salad as a meal. I had the grilled trout with crab over it, and cheese grits all around, also some julienne veggies. All very good!! We ate on the patio, and that was slightly disappointing in that it could have been so much more... some soft music, candles on the tables, a bit of soft lighting, some flowering plants that didn't look neglected, some stain on the fencing... in short, it reeks of neglect out there, but maybe that's just the desired patina. All in all, the meal mostly made up for the rustic atmosphere. A fine coffee topped it off and we leaned back all smiles. We'll be back in Brevard in October, and we'll make sure to visit Jordan Street Cafe' again then. read more

The food was delicious. For $2 I received an appetizer of homemade bread with pesto... and when we finished it the waiter brought out more for no charge. My pimento cheese and friend green tomato sandwich was extremely delicious and filling. Additionally, the rhubarb pie at the end was silky smooth and sweet. The inside looks somewhat fancy but if your most recent shower was in a waterfall in Pisgah then take advantage of the outdoor patio seating in the back which offers views of the Pisgah mountains. read more

We went in to celebrate our 15 wedding anniversary, when did this place turn into a burger joint. Service was terrible. Order came out wrong and the manager refused to make it right. Staff dressed liked they should worked at McDonald's. Add this to the list of Brevard's crappy places that only care about the tourist crowd. read more

Wow...what an amazing restaurant in Brevard! If you're in the mood for burgers or sandwiches, or even a few great salads, I haven't been to much better anywhere, even in big cities like San Francisco. The staff was fantastic (we had Arlan as our server, he took fantastic care of us) and were incredibly conscious of a few allergies we had at the table (you can definitely do peanut-safe and dairy-safe there). Everyone in our group of 9 was happy with their orders, with the only complaint being that one of the medium-well burgers came out more well-done. These burgers are nuts. One of them was about 8 inches high (largely due to a few onion rings). We had debates as to whether or not there was a burger patty on one of them since the description included what sounded like a full pulled-pork sandwich (answer: yes, it had a burger patty too!). You either need to be very hungry or will have substantial leftovers. The $2 bread-and-pesto appetizer was also delightful (though we didn't get the free refill another patron mentioned). And the desserts are made in-house every day - we had a pecan/praline cheesecake and a chocolate mousse, both of which were fabulous. Oh, and if you like sweet potato fries, get them here - some of the best I've ever had. It sounds like I'm just raving now, and I really don't want to over-hype the place, but we loved it and are likely to go back tomorrow despite only being in town a few days. read more

It's where the locals eat and drink at night. Gourmet fare in the dining room (reservations preferred) but full menu and delicious bar food is also available in the bar and on the patio during warm weather. Only open for dinner through the week, but the Sunday brunch should not be missed. I've had the donut burger (decadent pattie served between a halved donut with dripping blueberry yogurt and a side of sweet potato fries) and the chicken and waffles are not to be missed. Personal favorite on the bar menu is the Volcano Burger. It's served on a bed of cheese fries and you will remember it long after the last morsel is consumed. If that seems too hot for your gullet, go with the Led Zep Burger (bacon cheese burger with BBQ pork on top), but know you won't need lunch before or breakfast the next morning. Seriously, plan accordingly. Nightly specials include specific quesada and pizza with contents ranging from hasenpfeffer (rabbit) to ramps and pretty much anything in between, but they will customize it to your taste if you ask politely. Bartender Jake is a kind soul who will cut you off if you appear to need it (the police station is a few doors down, so he's looking out for you) and the wait staff is highly knowledgeable both about the menu and the attractions of the surrounding area. Ask for Spencer or Jason, they know what's up. Owner/chef Mike will make sure your food is prepared to your specifications and his wife Sue will ensure your dining experience it to your liking. Arrive early if you want free parking in the adjacent lot (it fills up fast). Cannot say enough about this terrific place for your palate. Try it for yourself; you won't be disappointed. read more

What a great little gem in downtown Brevard. Their burgers are some of the best I've had. Everything is fresh, their batter and fried foods are delicious, and the atmosphere on the patio is just dirty enough to forget you are in a tourist town. The service is solid, Jason was great even when they were completely slammed last weekend, and Evan took great care of us during a slower shift this evening. I dined here with my companion, who announced it as the best meal to be had in a VERY long time. It was the salmon with ramp pesto and leeks over mashed potatoes. The fish was fresh and cooked nicely. All the flavors worked together well. I had the jordan burger, which was huge and cooked perfectly, which surprised me as thick as it was. My fries were thinly sliced, a nice touch. We've eaten here several times, and have always requested the outdoor patio, as seating indoors seems WAY too loud. Service was slow, but I hesitate to blame the friendly server, as it could have been a slow kitchen. A nice place to hang out and watch the sunset. This place was recommended to me by the staff at the Holiday Inn Express in Brevard, and for a small town like Brevard, this is a nice alternative to the dreaded chain restaurants. It has free parking in a small lot across the street. The sign is small and if you arrive at night, it's hard to tell if you're at the right place. It has a real neighborhood feel. They have a decent, basic wine list and they had some good local beers too, but the place seems to have 2 menus: the cheaper one and the pricier, more gourmet one (see some reviewers mention of the quail for example). The gourmet one looked great but I was with a bunch of people who were ordering off the cheaper menu so I did that as well. Kudos to our waitress who was more than happy to present us all with individual checks, so many wait staff grumble about that but it wasn't a problem for her. My food was good, but not outstanding. I wonder now if the more expensive fare would have been better. We left just as the musicians started unpacking their instruments - I'm not a fan of live music while I eat dinner. I'd certainly like to go back here and try the higher end menu one of these days. read more

By far the best restaurant in Brevard. We started out with some very tasty bread and dipping oil. Our waiter was friendly and efficient as he explained all the yummy specials to us. I started with the fried pickles. If its on the menu, I'll order them no matter where I am. And these were definitely the best I've had. They weren't tiny puny pickle chips. But instead were long like pickle fries. The dipping sauce was great too. For an entree I got the trout that was on special. All our waiter had to say was "bacon wrapped" and I was sold. It was a bacon wrapped pan fried fillet with a blueberry reduction sauce over a bed of quinoa. I thought the blueberries would be too sweet but it was perfect. And so was the quinoa as it was filled with walnuts and mushrooms. The atmosphere was nice and light, not too noisy and some cool local art decorating the walls too. The shrimp and grits is amazing! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and whatever sauce was on there was delicious and the cheesy grits just made the whole thing! My mom had the shrimp wrap and it was also great. We arrived after a long travel day as we came in from Chicago and the manager at sunset motel directed us to Jordan's and we're so glad he did. While I hate okra, I did not even dislike wrap at EVEN all. Server was attentive as well. Great beer selection. Sit on the patio unless rainy, snowy, or festivally. Love love love and will be back! This was a suprise, recommended by a local artiste, and we are so glad we went. We were in town for the weekend and with COVID19, most restaurants had a long wait. We were thrilled to get an outdoor patio table at Jordan St. Cafe on a beautiful evening to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was so kind and the food- Fantastic! We had the spicy crabcakes (with sesame & horseradish(?) potatoes for an appetizer, then the trout on wild mushroom ravioli (4) and salmon on linguini. Delicious. Was up visiting from Florida and took my dad out to eat. He hadn't been to Brevard in a while so I searched yelp and found this gem. We received a friendly greeting and were promptly seated in the dining room. After a couple of cocktails (try the Blood Orange margarita if you want something different), we ordered. I had the cajun shrimp wrap and my dad had the Pacific Rim wrap. Both wraps were excellent, chock full of shrimp and fish. It was casual, nice ambiance, great food, drinks and service - but SOMETHING HAPPENED! The ambiance is the same but the food is NOT! JORDAN ST. CAFE is now more like a lunch place than fine dining. They offer a complete hard copy menu of Burgers and Wraps. The waitress comes over and tells you the "Specials of the Day." We were told they change daily so there is no hard copy, she would be happy to repeat them, if needed. We ordered the Wedge Salad to share - it was OK but we have had better. The Q's decided to share the Steak with Oysters Rockefeller on top with mashed potatoes and spinach because we did not want Burgers or Wraps for dinner. Asked about having 2 baked potatoes instead of mashed, we don't do baked potatoes, she said. The Steak was large enough to share but it was thin and had a lot of fat. Our drinks were ok and our waitress was uber friendly but they had no cocktail onions or stuffed olives, so Mr. Q said OK to regular Olives. Mrs. Q says: The prices for the Burgers and Wraps run between $10 to $12 each. Daily Specials are higher. At one time, we would always recommend Jordan Street Cafe to Friends/Family but NOT ANYMORE, unless they are in the mood for Burgers or Wraps. So many other really good fine dining restaurants in Brevard like "Marco's". It will be interesting to see if Jordan St. Cafe continues to do well with this change of menu.
