Terrible service. I was in there for one hour for ONE button down. Everyone acted like they were busy and most of them were doing nothing and just didn't want to help to assist me at all. I finally had to go up to one of them and they wouldn't let me try on the folded button down, instead he slowly walked around the store looking for a whole different shirt with the same size which took forever. He didn't find one then finally let me try on the folded button down. Top tier terrible service. Will not be shopping here for any suit stuff ever again. read more

We came into the Buckhead location today to start the process for a custom suit for my fiancé (engagement photos + wedding), and we couldn't be happier. Greg, the store manager, was immediately helpful and super knowledgeable. Fouad, the tailor, took perfect measurements and made us feel confident the final look will match my fiancé's vision. And Trent walked me through the tux rental process step-by-step, especially how easy it is to set up a group number so all of our groomsmen can order the exact tux we need. I had to rent a tux for a friend's wedding about 2 weeks ago. I came into Jos A Bank at the Buckhead location. Upon arriving, I wasn't greeted until I told someone that I needed some help. After letting them know what I was there for, they began to help me. It took them quite some time to get my measurements and all that. I tried things on to get a feel of what my best sizes would be for everything. I placed my order and picked up my tux the next week. The pants were too long, so they had to be altered. They were able to take care of that in 1-2 days, so not too bad. Some of the staff in this location are quite incompetent and don't know how to do anything. It's always a "Let me get someone to help with that," instead of "Happy to help you with this." They need to train their employees to all be on the same page so things don't take forever. I most likely won't be coming back here unless I am forced to rent from here. read more

This location is my preferred shop for custom clothing at a reasonable price. Their custom line is fantastic. You can expect reliable measurements and quality. The sales team AND tailors at this location are top-notch. I'm on a first name basis with them and they always personally greet me when I walk in. I know they value my business and I value their professionalism and care towards me and my wardrobe. I must give praise to Tiffany, Sunday, Sheridan, Mason, Johnny, Geneva, and Yen for always helping me look the best. read more

After a short wait, Sheridan helped me out and got all of my measurements, had me try on a few different suits and pants to fine tune everything, and had me in and out in 15 minutes. I have to say, I have been to Jos A. Bank at different locations and typically have had a decent experience. I went to the Jos A. Bank in Buckhead here in Atlanta on May 20 (Monday) and was thouroughly dissatisfied with the service (or lack of service I should say). I was shopping for a suit for an interview. I walked in, was not greeted, and after 45 minutes of walking around looking, not one sales associate came to me and asked if I needed help with anything (which I did). I decided not to make a deal of it and picked out a mismatched suit and spent over 550 dollars. The person that checked me out at the register didnt ask if I found everything I needed or ANYTHING of the like. Actually, he was not friendly at all and seemed annoyed as did the rest of the associates. I DID NOTICE that a little pre teen kid and his dad was getting attention and walked around the store by an associate who seemed very attentive to a child's suit need.......and no one attended to an adult looking for a suit for an interview. Another big issue is that the store is a mess. The sizes are not put on racks with ascending or descending sizes and half of them lack tags so that makes it very hard to locate something that is of interest. Overall, I wasted 550 bucks and pretty much cant wear what I bought because nothing quite fits. Maybe if an associate would have assisted me, I would have a different experience to report but I will say that I will never go back to that train wreck of a store. Another thing that is frustrating is that I see this "Lauren N" continuing to respond about how they are striving to provide the best customer experience and telling people to call a number. HELL NO, after reading all the terrible reviews below, they should be calling us and apologizing, especially when someone spent money at their TJ Max looking store. So lame. Should have went to Men's Warehouse, or ANYWHERE but the Buckhead Jos A Bank store. What a waste of my money and definitely a waste of my time. read more

Jos A Banks was a tremendous disappointment. They were honestly the most stressful part about the entire wedding planning/preparation process. The groom, his 10 groomsmen, and 2 fathers rented tuxes through Jos A Banks, and not a single person was pleased. The groom went to Jos A Banks 6 months before the wedding to see what their process was. At this time, they created his "party" in the system so that everyone knew which tux to get, and he was told that he and his party should come back 2 months before the wedding to get fitted for their tuxes. Within that 2-month timeframe, the party went to their local Jos A Banks, and only half of the party names showed up in the system. The groomsmen had to then argue with the store attendants to get them to put their names within the "party". When everyone was finally able to get their fittings, they were told that the tuxes will be ready WEEK OF THE WEDDING which alone is unacceptable and nerve-racking. Fast forward to the week of the wedding, they were not joking. The groom had to keep calling and harassing them to see when the tux was arriving because he still hadn't received a call that it was ready. Finally, after one of his calls, they said that it would be ready by Tuesday at 5pm. We went that night to go pick up the tux, and they found that they needed to shorten the legs a bit. They honestly also needed to make the pants more fitted, as they were quite baggy, but they apparently cannot do anything about the bagginess of the pants, despite it being the GROOM'S tux. They said that the alterations would be completed and ready to be picked up by Thursday evening for our out-of-town wedding on Saturday. (Luckily, we weren't heading out of town until early Friday morning.) They also mentioned that WE were lucky that the tux didn't come in on Wednesday, because their alterations person doesn't work on Fridays, so we would have needed to personally take the tux to a Men's Warehouse nearby because they have an alteration's person who works on Fridays... As for the rest of the party, 1 guy's pants were almost 6 inches too short, 1 guy's jacket was a dress on him, 2 of the guy's entire tuxes were extremely baggy because Jos A Banks doesn't offer a more slim/fitted tux option, 2 guy's never received a call that their tuxes were ready for pickup, and 1 guy, after calling to harass the store the entire week, finally had his tux ready on Wednesday evening. So, he went to pick up his tux, but 1 of the legs were 3 inches too short, so he did need to bring his tux to the Men's Warehouse for alterations. Luckily, Men's Warehouse was able to make the alterations in one day, and so he was able pick up his tux on Thursday. The whole process was so disappointing and infuriating. There is no reason why Jos A Banks needs to be waiting until the week of the wedding to get the men their tuxes. Much better planning is needed on their part. Additionally, if they are going to be such poor planners, their alterations person needs to work on Fridays to combat their incompetency. Also, if they are not going to provide a slimmer/ more fitted tux option, then they need to be able to alter their tuxes further. Until Jos A Banks gets their rental system together, I would absolutely not recommend. read more

My boyfriend and I came here so that he could find a nice suit for a Christmas party. We were met by a taller lady with braids who DID NOT GREET US but only looked. My boyfriend proceeds to tell her what he's looking for. She's says ok, not enthusiastic at all, and measures him. She then takes us to the suit section he is looking for. She does not seem excited to be at her job and she's barely talking to us. My boyfriend asks can he try on the suit she picked out and he does. He comes back and says he doesn't really like the material. She just looks at him!! Doesn't even offer another suit option. Horrible customer service. I am not sure how she got this job selling suits but she didn't provide a pleasant shopping experience for us. I wish we could've gotten her name, but she didn't greet us. I chose to use Jos a bank for suit rentals for my wedding. I am unimpressed. It wasn't so much the quality of the suits (although all of the guys disagree with me), but the sizing. Regardless of all the men going to the stores and getting measured, the legs were too short for my fiancé and my brother had to wear his pants above his belly button so the crotch would not look so long. Save the headache and frustration shop/rental anywhere but here. I paid a deposit for a party of 8 to get fitted and each time someone from the party came to get fitted they were asked to put down a deposit again and no one in the store could see the deposit and it was such a headache. The suits came in and shorts were like 3-4 times to big, pant legs uneven, missing cuff links. My suit was suppose to be free and they tried to keep my deposit. The manager Lawrence kept walking away from the new employee who didn't know how to create the account for us. Cliff kept having to go find him every time I had a question and he was just standing in the back not helping a customer. Then left in the middle of the profile being created which has cost a huge headache. Female assistant manager doesn't handle stress well and got an attitude every time a question was presented. Which is ultimate why my order has been a mess. Collins is the only person here with common sense. And went above and beyond to get me my deposit refunded. Then refunded the cost of the grooms jacket as a courtesy and when the groom came to pick up the jacket, they tried to charge him again. No communication. Their systems suck. Their employees most of the time are standing around not helping. They give you the tux to try on then disappear and you have to find someone else to help. And they are not busy. So I'm just confused at the a sense of common sense and customer service. 0 out of 10. Do not recommend. Save your money. read more

I bought three suits, shirts, belts, socks and a couple Johnston & Murphy shoes. The salesperson was great and I had the suits tailored and ready for pickup within a week. Both pairs of shoes developed a squeak within a dozen wears. I took them back to the store to see what they would do for me. My salesperson wasn't there, but the guy there wouldn't do anything for me. No return, exchange, willing even look at the shoes. My fiancé and I were just in the store today looking for a tux rental or purchase for a black tie wedding we have coming up. He is an extremely frequent customer so this was our first place to think to go. The salesperson that helped us was beyond rude, condescending, and unhelpful. We were trying to inquire about whether we were better suited to rent or purchase a tux and any question we asked was answered as if we were stupid to even be asking. I work in the Fashion Industry and am very clear on these services and was spoken to as if I were an incompetent idiot. Due to this we left and went straight to a different company and purchased a tux. This experience was extremely disappointing which resulted in losing a very frequent and valuable customer. This review only pertains to their tuxedo rentals. It took an eternity before anyone helped us-- apparently there is only one salesperson assigned to the tuxedo rentals and no one else knows anything about them. When we asked to see some samples, she said that they don't carry any of them in the stores. Why would anyone rent a tux without having any clue what the outfit is going to look like? We found some things we liked in the catalogue, but there's no way we're renting them without seeing the colors in person. I guess Jos A. I wasn't impressed. I've consistently shopped at another clothier for years. I won't name them, but there is a guy with a beard and a deep voice that guarantees things. This place just doesn't compare. The salesman was just that, trying to get me to buy as much as he could as quickly as he could. While I was waiting I also got to hear him gripe to another customer about a third customer's attitude. Nice.... That wasn't however; my biggest complaint with the service. The salesperson added all of the extras - travel crease etc - without even asking me if I wanted them. I know this is in Buckhead, but let me know what I'm buying for Pete's sake! Oh, and at he end he never even told me the total. That's what I get for handing him my card when he asked. The receipt was in line with the sales person - impossible to figure out. I guess the discounts were about right, but you couldn't tell from the receipt... The value was about the same as the other place I shop, minus the personal service. And to be clear, I shop the other place during the holidays and always get treated the same, great! SORRY GEORGE!!!! I'm coming back to you. I guarantee it!!!!! EDIT: I called the day before my alterations were to be done to see if they'd come in by chance. I was asked what day they were to be there, told the guy, and was summarily told that they weren't there because they were running exactly to date. I went in the next day and the guy had problems finding my clothes. the reason was that he was looking on the "just arrived" rack. Mine had been delivered several days earlier. Nice.... I also couldn't get anyone to even make eye contact with me, including a gentleman with an assistant manager name tag. Yes, I was close enough to read it, but not close enough for him to notice me. My original two star rating has been solidified. The funny thing is that I'm now the "Duke" of this location with my three trips - purchase, exchange of a wrong shirt, and alterations. The customer service here is unbelievable. I have always bought their traveler wrinke-free shirts for work. They don't need to be ironed and the quality of the fabric is great. I went in and took advantage of their executive suit for $199 yesterday. I also bought two shirts and a tie for $99, which was another sale they had running. So in total I spent $370 for a custom tailored suit, two shirts and a tie. That's a great deal in my book. Today at work a commercial came on CNBC for a new sale they are having. They are now offering a suit, two shirts and two ties for $199! I was definitely a little bummed. I called up the store and spoke with Andy, my salesman from the previous day. I was hoping that they would, at most, throw in an extra tie when I pick up my suit. Nope. They refunded my $99 AND threw in the extra tie! I love this place. read more

They are all very knowledgeable and will let you take your time trying on clothes OR can have you out in 5 - 10 minutes (my norm). I am immensely impressed by the customer service of the Jos A. Bank. I had arrived in Atlanta for an awards ceremony only to discover that I had tragically taken the suit of my roommate instead of my own. His suite paints were needless to say ten sizes too large for me. The award ceremony was to begin in two hours; I called the store which was about to close. The store manager Shayla Wallace was an absolute hero. She came and unlocked the door, even after close, found me a proper pair of paints and saved the day. I can't thank Miss. Wallace enough for her incredible customer service, professionalism, and going above and beyond. She even polished my shoes on the way out the door. If you love shopping for used cars, then this place is for you. It's so similar it's uncanny. Completely obvious from the moment you walk in the door that the salesmen are on commission. Bought a pair of pants there last week and they told me I wasn't allowed to just buy one pair. It was "buy one get one". My lucky day. I asked how much 1 pair would be and the answer was $200. Ok. How much for two pairs with the buy one get one? $200. I told them I was leaving so they "checked with their manager" to see if they could allow me to just buy one pair. They approved it and it was $100. So essentially their BOGO is a forced purchase of two pairs. Wow. What a deal. I bought the pants and returned the following week to pick them up after they were fitted for my length (they come uncut with the length). When I picked them up, I had to argue with them to allow me to try them on. The sales associate told me they were altered to my body last week. Why would I need to try them on again? They finally allowed me to do I did and left. Got home and after sitting down realized they were tight. Called the next day to ask about their 90 return policy and they told me that the return "after alterations" is at the managers discretion. I asked it they would give me a store credit or just return them and the manager said "Nothing I can do". Nice guys. You really know how to build a long term clientele. This is why your stores are always empty. I'll be telling everyone I know about my experience. read more

Professional dress type clothes are not my area of expertise...... I was about to start a high profile position for a prestigious employer. Annnd I needed to kick my professional attire up a notch. I dress well and I often receive compliments. But I needed to bridge the gap between my "just graduated from college" look and that of a more polished professional. Professional dress type clothes are not my area of expertise. Apprehensive doesn't begin to describe how i felt walking in there.. Jos A is slightly outside my shopping comfort zone. My attendee was pleasant down to earth, helpful, but not condescending. which helped alleviated my anxieties. Surprisingly, the whole measurement thing went off without a hitch. The whole process took about 20 minutes to mix and match several shirt and tie pairs. My attendee even gave me suggestions on how to not loose those little plastic things in that go up in the shirt collar (which run about 9 bucks to replace). I want to say i payed a little over 200 for 3 shirts 2 ties an extra couple pair of socks. But the shirt quality and customer service made it all worth while. read more

There is a reason this place is dark and dead inside. I walked in and stood around several salespeople for several minutes (probably 8) without anyone saying a word. This place could at least double its revenue simply by hiring more engaging sales persons or by getting a stronger manager and better leader. I will give you pointers for free: 1) make the lights brighter inside so passers by will know you are open. You are on PEACHTREE ROAD and appear to be closed on a weekend. Unbelievable. 2) Profile your customers. Everything about me says I am here to spend money. From the car I drive to the clothes I wear. No one tried to sell me anything. No one tried to upsell. Unbelievable. I would have spent more money had they been more concerned with selling instead of walking around with a brown briefcase looking important. SMH: big hat, but no cattle! We have shopped at The Avenues location since it opened years ago. Not anymore! Something has happened to dramatically change their level of service. The management comes off as casual or "sassy" in tone, but that wears off quickly - especially when it takes over an hour just to reserve a simple tux rental. I am not exaggerating. Yesterday we called every ten minutes or so to ask a question. The phone just rang and rang - from 10am until we finally gave up around 12:30pm and drove there. Three people were "working" but at a slow pace and said they were so busy they could not deal with phone calls?? This was on a Wednesday morning. It is such a shame, this new management and sales team is going to be the death of this particular store. We are now shopping at the North Point location. read more

This store is in the heart of Buckhead . I went in to exchange an over coat that I purchased for my adult son . The store was empty and a mess . I had to wait for help . When finally the manager Adebayo Adeniran came to the counter and took a look at the coat and it's obvious defects . He began to accuse me of trying to return a coat that we damaged . My son tried it on one cold day and when he realized that the sleeve edge had a hole in the weaving he wore his old one and asked if I could exchange it . I never expected this errand to be so unpleasant or to have a any problem with a salesman being so rude and unreasonable . He said I can not acccept a damaged coat and I replied that it was sold to me like this with the defect. We did not damage anything . It was on the original hangar and in a coat bag . This treatment of a customer , to all but accuse me of being a liar . I did not like it . I will never buy another product from any Jos A-Bank store again . I've never been treated so rudely by anyone in retail . He all but asked me to leave . Very uncomfortable situation . A $400.00 purchase is worthless to me now . This company needs to work with this man on his customer service . If I could give this store snd it's rude manager Adebayo Adeniran a zero star review I would . Had to give it one and that is for having the lights on . If you want quality men's clothing run away from this place . The worst .
