I recently had the opportunity to visit Doctor Stephen Kuzmak for dental work. I previously had…read moretwo root canals performed by an endodontist in Timonium and it didn't go great and in return caused breakage to my teeth. I have always had a fear of dentist because of past experiences which were very painful. I researched top dentist in Maryland and I came across Dr. Kuzmak, Towson View Dental Care and decided to give them a call and make an appointment. I was very nervous about the visit because I had two broken teeth with only the roots left in my gums. Upon my arrival I was meant by a warm and welcoming staff. Dr. Kuzmack himself came out to the waiting area to greet me and to offer me a bottle of water. That definitely helped take the edge off. He explained everything to me before he began the procedure. I always brace myself for the initial needle stick and deep burning that follows from the Novocaine... However to my surprise Dr. Kuzmack pulls out a device that he uses in conjunction with the needles that massages your gums during injection which helped to alleviate any pain! I was totally taken back that I did not feel ANY pain the entire procedure. No pain from the needle or the root extraction. If you are in need of any dental work and have a fear that there may be pain, or you are in search of quality dental service Dr. Kuzmack of Towson View Dental Care should be your #1 choice! My experience at Parkville Family Dentistry was honestly one of the worst dental experiences I've…read moreever had. I trusted them with my teeth, and it turned into a nightmare. The fillings they did were deep, poorly done, and left me in constant pain that I never had before walking through their doors. Instead of helping me, their work created new problems that I'm now stuck trying to fix somewhere else -- and paying for all over again. What hurts the most is how little care or urgency they showed when I tried to tell them something wasn't right. I felt brushed off, unheard, and completely unsupported. Dealing with dental pain is scary enough, but dealing with it because of someone else's careless work is even worse. I'm frustrated, I'm disappointed, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. I strongly do not recommend Parkville Family Dentistry. Please save yourself the stress, money, and pain and go somewhere that actually values their patients' well-being.

I was so comfortable, and that says a lot for a dentist as well. I like that they also have TV's on the ceiling so while they are cleaning your teeth, you can watch TV lol. The dentistry is very organized and the staff are super friendly as well. I have not once had a bad experience there! I would recommend this dentistry to anyone including those afraid of dentists and get anxious about having teeth worked on, such as myself

I'll first start by saying that we are pleased with the experience we have had with our dentists…read more The service is great, and our boys have had positive experiences which is important as they are young. With that said, the front-end experience has been poor. A little background. I received an Explanation of Benefits from my dental insurance company (Delta) along with a check. I asked if my ex-wife had paid anything out of pocket, and I was told no, she hadn't. I called the dentists' office to ask why I received the check. I was told that my boys saw Dr. Shelton that day. I was then informed that Dr. Shelton doesn't take Delta while Dr. Gibbons does. Weird, but ok - I know doctors carry their own insurances, but I find it odd that the practice doesn't carry the same insurance for all providers. I did confirm that their appointment was with Dr. Gibbons, but when they showed up, my ex-wife was told that they would see Dr. Shelton that day since Dr. Gibbons was out. No big deal. But, at no time was she informed about the lack of Delta insurance coverage with Dr. Shelton or what would happen if she saw someone who didn't cover their insurance (end result is not a big deal as you will see, but ugh to the lack of communication). I digress - back to the check I received. I was told that I would need to endorse the check and return it to their office. Ok, also not a big deal. I then asked if they could make a note in their system about the insurance coverage so that in the future this wouldn't happen. This is where things go off the rails. I was told that it was MY responsibility to understand which of their doctors carried Delta and that it was my responsibility to ensure that I was seeing the correct doctor (wild). I asked how I was supposed to know that Dr. Shelton didn't cover Delta and why that would be my responsibility. I was assured that they told my ex-wife about it at some point. I won't go into "she said-she said" said details about what the receptionist and my ex had to say, but their stories differ. The receptionist began to get very short with me to the point where she said our conversation was unbelievable. She even asked if I would be cancelling the boys' future appointments so that I could create two openings for other customers (excuse me?). I explained as calmly as I could that I wanted to prevent this from happening again as driving the check and EOB to their office was inconvenient to which her retort was that I could just mail it in instead (also inconvenient). We ended the conversation without cancelled appointments but some frustration on both sides - I don't think she liked her (their?) quality practices being called into question. If you're still considering this practice (which you should in my opinion), take the following tips - 1) Know if both doctors take your insurance so that if something unexpected happens, you know who you can and can't see 2) Call ahead to make sure that you and/or your children will be seeing the doctor they are scheduled with that day to avoid an unexpected switcharoo like we experienced It's worth repeating- we have had very good experiences with this dental practice in general; however, I'm reviewing the practice as a whole. The lack of communication and the front-office rudeness I experienced are being taken into account. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could, but I'll round up to 4 since it's been more good than bad.

MISLEADING - I am sitting outside of Aspen Towson. Where it says "Walk-ins? Come on in…read more Emergency? We got you." I just came here because it advertised on Google that walk-ins are welcome. I don't think it's right to have people trek the way over here and then tell people that they cannot be seen on the same day. I just had my last molar pulled and don't have a way to eat and explained that to the staff. The best they could offer me was three weeks out. I need to be able to eat and it was my thought that I could not do anything until this tooth was finally removed. I was vegan for 10 years which destroyed my dental health. I became vegan at the age of 49 and prior to that I never had one cavity during my childhood and up until I was 49 years old. My teeth fell like dominoes after 10 of veganism. It was disappointing to drive 30 minutes to find out that they don't in fact do walk-ins and that perhaps me not being able to eat would not be considered an emergency for them. I am in need of three Maryland and one partial lower plate. least they could've gotten me in for was an exam and then possibly to schedule me for a cleaning before actually doing moles or laser mapping for the bridges and partial denture.w Not really sure how I could've planned this to be any better than what it was. Very disappointing.
