Front of menu and nice cold beer

Excellent service, funky, old, cowboy style joint interesting decor! Friendly, seasoned servers with a groovy sense of humor. Really great guacamole and salsa and chips and a killer ice cold beer- what else is there in life?

Yum! We both got their burgers and we loved it so much! The workers are so welcoming and the vibes in here are so cool!!! try their housemade beers!!!

Good drinks and delicious food at a saloon type atmosphere with lots if mirrors that make it seem bigger. She got the mojito and I got the cactus cadillac, which was a bit tequila forward but I'm not complaining. To eat, we shared the fried pickles which came with 10 (yes! 10) spears and also the southwestern half lb burger which had pretty good flavor. Pretty solid overall, especially for a "dive" bar.

It is a huge bummer that this restaurant does not serve takeout on weekends so we dragged ourselves. The service was not very nice when we tried asking questions about timing and definitely debated leaving but this was the only place open so late at night. Once seated, I was also surprised to see how expensive even the appetizers were. A "basket" of ribs was $20! I think everything I got tasted good but the other appetizers were not so amazing for my friends and overall it felt like not a great experience for being out of town.

So many people recommend this place on the internet and we felt the saloon vibes. They have indoor and outdoor seating, atmosphere is decorated in a fun way. The place was packed so we did have to wait about 20 minutes for our table but service was good! We started with the sampler which had a little bit if everything and they had good ranch which is truly hard to come by. For dinner I picked the big oink with a side of mac & cheese, the sandwich was huge but everything was flavorful and yummy. My sister loved her patty melt, said it was probably one of the best she ever had and my friend liked his bbq burger, just said he wished there was more bbq sauce . All in all a great place!

The Saloon Signature Salad was so tasty and satisfying. Highly recommend.

We frequent JT's at least once during each weekend we spend here. We always sit at the bar as it's comfortable for us. The bartenders are awesome - friendly, provide excellent service, and they pour great cocktails. It's a casual and friendly place; we always seem to have great conversations there. The food is surprisingly good. Last night we shared the Saloon Signature Salad and it was delicious. We will be back again and again.

Best fried pickles I've ever had!!! And I love me a fried pickle. They were so crunchy, flavorful, piping hot, delicious homemade ranch to dip in. I even sent pics of them to my other pickle loving friends lol All the food was fast, fresh and tasty. Really cool ambiance- live music on the patio and dark and vibey saloon style indoors. The service was a little slow but we didn't mind because we loved people watching and checking out everyone's cute outfits in the area. Worth checking out!

Make sure you read my original review! The food quality hasn't changed much: 4 stars except the frozen fries (0 stars). I am downgrading my rating because of the service: 1 stars. Wait times have increased, it takes about 50 to 55 minutes to get your food, what really bothered me is the 1.5 hours wait after the kitchen "lost" my ticket. So, after waiting for 1.5 hours, I asked for my order to be partially canceled (especially since we were at the point happy hours started...) then suddenly they found the ticket and food was in front of me within 2 minutes. Weird.... I was not offered any discount, they refused to cancel the item. Prices: 3 stars. Food and beverage are pricey, higher than average in this location. Discrepancies between happy hours and regular menu prices are astonishing that it makes it difficult to bear regular price... A plus for Sunday afternoon live music jams. The patio now features a full bar and a great stage! Great ambiance.

What a fun place to eat. Place wasn't as big on the inside but grateful we got our r tree able quickly. Service was as fast as it could be and we had everything we ordered in a timely manner. I ordered saloon salad with chicken and shrimp and needed a to go box. Hubs had pastrami meat with fries which looked tasty. The other two salads ordered looked lovely and the burgers were awesome looking too. Kids got their food right away and they enjoyed it.

Not a bad saloon, was expecting a bit more saloon-like vibe, they have pool tables and interesting drinks. Service was fast! Would come back to try the food.

We loved JTS. Our pup was with us and we loved it that she was welcomed. My burger was one of the best in quite a while. Check out the brand on the top bun. She chose a carne asada soft taco and it was delicious. A wedge salad was plenty large enough to split. Lots of bleu cheese and bacon. The large outdoor space looks like a party or two may have broken out here. On a cool evening that would be fun. The decor is a cross between art deco and the wild west. Drop by and see for yourself.

Perfect spot to stop after an epic afternoon in the park. The team is fun to engage with and took care of us at the bar. Jacki and I were staying in Joshua Tree for the week and stopped in on the night of the super moon. We shared a salad and the infamous grilled fish tacos and both had a drink. In a small town, you can't ask for much but this is a no frills bar, good energy and a great outdoor area too!

Really yummy food! Large parking lot. Has free live music some nights. Nice fresh salad. Service is good but can take a while when it's busy.

Great vibe for lunch after being in the park, exploring the area, etc. I recommend sharing the sampler platter, especially the onion rings!

Best place to meet gay men?

Not really.

Do they have electronic dart boards?

No, sorry

Do they have sports on the screens behind the bar?

Yes, usually they have sports games on. There are about 3-5 TVs around the bar area if I remember correctly.

No takeout ? Disappointing

What nights do they have live music?

Their website says on weekends only.

Are dogs allowed outside?

We saw a couple of dogs on the patio at noon.

Is there wifi?

Yes

Are they open today? Or closed because of the COVID-19? I called twice but nobody is answering.

ALL CA bars closed last night at midnight, restaurants are only allowing take out and/or delivery.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes they are dog friendly. There are a few tables out front and also a great outdoor patio that allows dogs. Lots of shade and space between other tables.

Teenagers allowed for dinner with adults about 6ish?

I believe kids are allowed at all times, as long as they are with an adult

BUT it was definitely the biggest, most positive surprise when it came to expectations vs. actual quality! We landed in Palm Springs late in the evening and were starving on our way out to Joshua Tree. After a quick Yelp search for something open past 7-8pm, this spot popped up. We pulled into a super quiet parking lot and found this tiny little place. Looking at it from the outside, we honestly figured it would just be a quick, forgettable pitstop. Boy, were we wrong. For starters, the place was relatively full for a Tuesday evening! We ordered the duck confit nachos, the kimchi bulgogi sandwich, and the pony wings. Wow! Granted, our expectations were unfairly low walking in, but this turned out to be probably our second-best meal of the entire week--and we ate out every single day! It absolutely crushed it in terms of exceeding expectations. It also helped that we happened to be there on a Wednesday, so all the wines were half-priced! Unfortunately, since we weren't familiar with the area, we didn't know exactly how much further we had to drive to our accommodations, so we couldn't imbibe more in such a welcoming environment. (Missed opportunity, but safety first!) Oh, and definitely save room for dessert--their pie with ice cream of the day was delicious too! If you are passing through, do not sleep on this place. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area!

There is a dog friendly patio so we sat out back with our pups and ordered them puppy patties. Service was ok; since we were in the patio and it was a holiday they were super busy so it was understandable that we had to wait quite awhile for things (drinks, check, etc). But they servers all worked together and were nice. They grat parties of 5 an automatic 20%, but it's on the menu so be be mindful of that. The food was not bad. They had a special BBQ menu for the 4th, but didn't have the jalpeno cornbread so we went another direction. We ordered a $5 mimosa and the pretzel bites with BOMB queso and split the smashburger. All were awesome. My friends ordered the chicken sandwich and absolutely RAVED about how good it was!! Overall, this place is awesome and we can't wait to go back and sit at the very lively bar and watch some sports!

The ribs were tender with a nice smoky flavor and came off the bone clean. The tri tip was just as solid, juicy and well seasoned with that classic barbecue taste. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the baked beans had a good balance of sweet and savory. The lemonade was cold and refreshing and worked well with the meal. The atmosphere is a big part of the experience. Rustic, lively, and full of character. It feels like a true desert spot with history behind it. The place can get busy, but the staff kept things moving and were friendly throughout. This place loves to its hype. Definitely more than just a meal. Unfortunately, the food was not up to the standard we remembered. Several of the items tasted as though they had been prepared long before being served--almost like leftovers from the day before. The flavors and overall quality felt noticeably off, which was especially discouraging considering how much we used to enjoy dining here. We're not sure if there's been a recent change in management or in the kitchen, but the difference was significant enough that we felt compelled to share our experience. We truly hope this was just an off day, because we'd love to see the food return to the quality we remember. That said, we still enjoy this venue for concerts and the overall atmosphere, and we sincerely hope the dining experience improves for future guests.

Thirty of us (reasonable adults age 50+, many meeting for the first time) booked 5 separate OpenTable reservations to get acquainted before a birthday party the next day. Each table had its own reservation with enough seats for everyone. Throughout the evening, staff were quick to tell us 'that's not how we do things here' without offering much of an explanation of how things are actually done. This came up regarding more than two people standing at the host stand for their reservation (they eventually pointed us to a patio, which they could have just done from the get-go), our multiple reservations (the only difference between us and any other table is that we had a shared reason for being there), and when we asked if we could evenly split a check across more than one credit card at a table of 8. The policies themselves were fine, the tone however was condescending. We also understand outside food fees (one of us brought a box of cupcakes in honor of the birthday), but charging each table a $25 "cake fee" when cupcakes were only consumed at one table felt excessive. We had high hopes for a place we were excited to visit. We hope they refine their approach for future guests.
