I came in with pretty low expectations, but Joss Cuisine completely exceeded them. The Tangerine Beef was the standout perfectly crispy, flavorful, and easily the dish I'd recommend ordering. What really made the experience memorable, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely warm, kind, and welcoming. Great food paired with great service is always a winning combination. I'll definitely be back!

I found Joss Cuisine on open table while looking for a unique restaurant for Valentine's Day! Upon arrival, it was a full restaurant. Very small restaurant however they have different sections and felt more comfortable in the seating area we were placed. We weren't greeted right away due to them being SO busy however, once we were greeted the staff was very apologetic about the wait and asked for our patience due to a busy night. I appreciated that it was acknowledged bc we also had a reservation. I like the menu and we ordered the wonton soup, hot and sour soup, pineapple wok fried rice, Mongolian beef and long beans. Everything was enjoyed however my boyfriend didn't enjoy the hour and sour soup so it was swapped for the wonton. The wonton soup was yummy. The only thing that I would've adjusted was the heat of the food. Everything except for the soup was just warm. The servers were hospitable and made sure that we had a great experience. We will return for a second visit. If you're looking for an intimate lunch or dinner date this is your place.

This is my go to Chinese restaurant when I am in the area. I don't know why it's never too busy. I have been here at least 20 times and I enjoyed every dish I had here. Great: Clean and delicious Great lunch special Friendly and professional service Interesting space-ship like decor Clean bathroom Not so great: Wine and drink menu My favorite dishes are Hot and Sour Soup, Mongolian Lamb, and Mustard Prawns

A hidden gem in Beverly Hills!! The Peking duck is a must have!!! The skin is so crispy and love the wrap. The mustard prawns with noodles is also very good. Actually, everything on the menu is good. Please ask for Walter, he is so nice and very attentive. Plenty of street parking along Santa Monica Blvd.

Enjoyed a lovely evening with friends at Joss Cuisine! It was my first time here, my friend reserved a room up stairs which had its own bathroom. Highly recommend if you have a large party. The food was excellent and the service was as well! There were several courses, all of which were great! A few stand outs were the squash crab soup and the Lobster. Both are a must next time you go. Great way to celebrate Chinese New Year! Thanks Joss! Parking: street, metered

JC is a cute little Chinese restaurant on little Santa Monica Blvd across from the Penninsula Hotel. We ordered the chop suey, chicken cashew veggies, wonton soup and Hot n sour soup. The food was made fresh and taste GREAT!! We opted out onions and garlic to taste the real food. Restaurants these days are smart now, since people today love to eat onions and garlic, so chefs now would just soak everything in onions and garlic to cover up the unfreshness of the food. Lucky for me that I don't like onions and garlic, so if the food is not fresh, they can't hide!! A big thumbs up for JC, the food was awesome and the service was great. It was a busy night with a party upstairs, but they managed well!!

Peking Turkey or just regular turkey. This is nothing special and not for $90

I've been loyal to another place for years, and recently saw a review (from another Brit) on TikTok so thought I'd give it a bash. I'm a VERRRYY picky eater, and a prerequisite of Chinese is no MSG which they do not use. The overall quality was exceptional. Each dish felt, looked and tasted healthy and fresh. The vegetables looked like real vegetables that were vibrant and full of colour. The eggplant was cooked to absolute perfection. The chicken was white meat, and not fried to smitherines or dripping in oil. It was all perfectly balanced in flavour. Even the lo mein noodles were high quality (should be called hi mein), and were the perfect softness without being mushy. I will mention that this food was delivered, and it traveled exceptionally well, so I can only imagine what it's like if you actually eat at the restaurant as the food comes directly out of the kitchen. They just know what they're doing here, and I can't wait to go back (soon). Cheers Chef Ming! Chef Ming's is Chef's kiss.

The food is seriously so good. Everything always tastes fresh, hot, flavorful, and like it was actually made with care. The quality is what really gets me every time. You know how sometimes you order Chinese food and it just feels heavy or like everything tastes the same? Not here. The flavors are there, the ingredients taste fresh, and I'm always happy with what I order. I also really love the environment. It's comfortable, welcoming, and just has a good feel to it. Whether I'm stopping in because I'm craving Chinese food or already know exactly what I want, Chef Ming's never disappoints. And the prices are PERFECT for the quality. It's not super cheap, but that's honestly not what you want when the food is this good. It tastes and feels like high-end Chinese food without the high-end price tag. Sometimes I'm eating it thinking, "I should probably be paying more for this." That's how good the quality is. If you're around Doheny, definitely give Chef Ming's Kitchen a try. Fresh food, great flavor, good atmosphere, fair prices, and consistent quality. There are plenty of Chinese restaurants in LA, but this is the one I keep coming back to. Easily 5 stars from me.

All their weekday lunch specials come with hot & sour soup and an egg roll. I had to get their signature spicy orange chicken which is tangy and perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's seriously such a great deal with the amount they give you. Even their dim sum items are discounted during lunch too so I got all my favorites like shumai, radish cakes, green onion pancakes, string beans, and even the rainbow xiaolongbao sampler which is basically Russian roulette for you to guess the flavor of each. But the real sleeper on the menu are the sweet & spicy corn ribs. Love the nod to the Asian taste profile, and it's sooo satisfying to eat! Thanks for reading! ^-^

I've been coming here for the past two years, and their quality is stayed consistently high, if not even improving! They also have an amazing cocktail menu (which is more unusual for dim sum spots) and weekday lunch special menu from 12-3 PM, which features select dim sum and traditional Chinese dish combos at VERY affordable prices (all under $20). The space feels worn -- menus tattered, décor dated, the whole interior overdue for a refresh. For a restaurant positioning itself at the higher end of Chinese dining, Meizhou Dongpo is sleeping on the finer details. No complimentary tea service, and rather than offering a pot for the table, they serve individual tea by the mug -- a comically oversized Western mug at that. Chopsticks arrive without spoons, and when you ask for one, you get silverware instead of the porcelain you'd expect at Chinese restaurant.
