They will even give you lots of extra napkins without prompting. I can honestly say I have never experienced that. Moreover, they offer complimentary aprons, hair ties, phone covers, and lens cleaners for all of their guests! The ambiance was very nice. It is very clean and chic. Unfortunately, the ambiance can get overstimulating. Because of the live noodle dances, the music can get loud and it is difficult to communicate with the staff. Moreover, the unlimited seasoning and snack bar is placed in a less-than convenient spot. There is very little space for people to wait for their turn, and it gets even more cramped when there are servers and the robot moving around to cater to tables. The robot also ran into me while I was standing at the snack bar (no injury but it was awkward and cramped!) Lastly, the food has its high and low points for me. To put it simply, I believe this is a restaurant that incorporates the ambiance into the pricing- it is expensive! I went with my girlfriend and spent a little under $200 for our dinner (tip included). We ordered 3 cuts of meat, a few sides, and 2 broths. The meats were of great quality. Unfortunately you're playing $20+ for a single tray of about 10 thin slices of meat so it quickly adds up! The broth was the low point in my opinion. Let's just say the unlimited sauce/seasoning bar is a MUST for you to have a satisfying flavor. Moreover, they re-fill the broth with some type of broth water that isn't seasoned like the broth they bring you at the beginning. They essentially water-down your broth when they refill. For reference, my spicy pork broth was yellow-orange yet the refill was white and cloudy. The difference in color and flavor was night and day! I have only been to one other hot pot place and it was a better overall experience for a fraction of the price! Overall 3/5. To sum it up, upper scale ambiance and meat quality, but I value all you can eat meat over higher quality meat. The broth should be the selling point but it just falls short. The setting can be loud and overstimulating. Personally I would rather spend 35 dollars a person on all you can eat hot pot than this fancier spot. The servers are the star of the restaurant without a doubt.

I'm always happy here bc it's not only delicious, but everything is such an experience and a total California VIBE which I love. I mean, look at the video of the exquisite sweets. I'm already planning to come back for Thanksgiving pies which I have purchased in years past bc everything they make is so gorgeus AND consistently delicious. I love that the staff is always so nice especially Valeria who is so well versed on the menu and so sweet. I also appreciate the thoughtful touches -- being able to get as much water as you want, enjoying the pretty views, people watching, and having food that is presented so beautifully you almost don't want to eat it! This is one of those places you know will always be good, and it's perfect to bring out-of-town guests for a quick, fun bite. I usually come here for breakfast and love getting a brunch and boba drinks with my twins. It's a special spot. This time I was just grabbing a croissant, and they even gave it to me at a discount bc it was later in the day. That was so kind and completely unnecessary and unexpected, and I really appreciated it. Urth Caffé is easily one of my top 10 favorite places. I just love coming here. The pictures are from my visit in May and just yesterday , August 1! Also, if you miss the in person experience on Beverly, don't worry you can have more of this beautiful café on the way out of Los Angeles at the LAX airport. I'm so glad this Cafe was chosen to represent Los Angeles because it is simply the best. Thank you! Support local.

Indeed I wrote to them as follows on May 6 as follows: "We have visited Urth Caffe several times and I have even given you a 5 star Yelp review. But today was disgusting!!! The women's was even worse with xxxxxx on the toilet seat itself, no seat covers YUK - had we seen this before ordering there is no way that we would have stayed and eaten. ??. How could staff clean their hands before making food. You deserve to be reported to the authorities. Disgusting I will have problems going back for sure. Unforgivable." They called me back the next day and assured me that it would be reported and addressed. This was then confirmed by email the same day: "Dear Brian, Thank you for reaching out to Urth Caffé with your concerns. We appreciate our loyal guests such as your self. We have forwarded your comments to our management team at Urth Beverly Hills and they will be looking into this matter further. We want to assure you that we are dedicated and committed to the absolute highest standards and best practices of cleanliness, health and safety for our guests. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. The Urth Caffé Team" Sounds reassuring right?? BUT Today almost 3 months later I have heard not a further word. The public needs to know. I would not go back ever again without first going in and inspected both ladies and gents toilets before ordering anything. If non sanitary then how can their staff wash their hands??? Yuk

The braised pork in brown sauce was rich, tender, and melted in my mouth. My favorite of the meal was definitely the garlic vermicelli shrimp. The shrimp were fresh and cooked perfectly, while the vermicelli soaked up all of the garlic sauce. It was easily the standout dish and something I would come back specifically to order again. The Kung Pao chicken was tender, and a good balance of savory, sweet, and tang. The restaurant isn't that big but it does have tables suitable for larger groups. This is a decent spot for lunch. The only thing is the dishes are a little more expensive compared to other restaurants. The staff were attentive, efficient, and made sure everything arrived promptly which I appreciated.

The space feels worn -- menus tattered, décor dated, the whole interior overdue for a refresh. For a restaurant positioning itself at the higher end of Chinese dining, Meizhou Dongpo is sleeping on the finer details. No complimentary tea service, and rather than offering a pot for the table, they serve individual tea by the mug -- a comically oversized Western mug at that. Chopsticks arrive without spoons, and when you ask for one, you get silverware instead of the porcelain you'd expect at Chinese restaurant. The Peking duck accoutrements came with a little plastic spoon on the tray. Small things, but they add up.The fried rice was a letdown too and looked nothing like the menu photo. Spots like Din Tai Fung and Lunasia Signature are operating at a different level and the gap shows. Meizhou Dongpo has the bones of a great Chinese restaurant. The duck alone proves it. But until they invest in the experience around the food, it's hard to recommend at this price point.

I usually stick to the hot food like pizza, sandwiches, meatballs, and lasagna are all solid. I haven't really shopped the grocery aisles, but the variety looks great. The food is consistently good with nice portions, though honestly, it's a bit pricey. Then again, everything in LA is expensive these days, so at around $20 a dish, it's become the new normal. The staff is always nice, and the cashier who helped me out this time was super friendly. I love the ambiance and the fact that there are plenty of spots to just hang out, catch up with friends, or knock out some work on my laptop. I'll definitely be back to keep working my way through the menu.

I had high hopes for the restaurant, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. Came here on a Sunday and managed to snag a table around dinner time without a reservation. Servers were friendly and attentive. We got the melon prosciutto appetizer to share. It was good and the melon prosciutto pairing is always great. Will order this again, though the presentation of the dish could probably have been a bit better. They had the summer of pesto menu going, so I got the pesto basilico pasta. The pasta was cooked very al dente and the pesto sauce was good. My only qualm is that the portion is a little on the smaller side and I wish the pasta was cooked a little bit more (maybe 45-60s more). The pizza was perhaps the most disappointing. We got the diavola dolce pizza and was expecting a glazy hot honey but the honey was very watery and the pizza overall was lacking flavor. I also wish they were a bit more generous with their salami topping. The dough was good, but the entire pizza tasted very bland and more like a regular cheese pizza topped with a couple of salami and a dollop of ricotta. There's way better options for Italian food in the area so probably wont be returning here again. However, they do have a great selection of groceries so I'd probably just stick with the groceries!

They had obviously tried to defrost some old crappy soup and warm it up barely. So of course by the time it arrived it was cold as all get out. I've just wasted money unfortunately. I usually try to give some ghost kitchens a chance, but if you can't keep your quality up, why are you in business? Did you look at that sad, cold soup you sent and think...yes this is what will get us more customers. Such a waste of time and money. The search for good soup continues. The soups rock, usually soup is bland, boring, salty, or some other form of a mess. The soup here tells a story, has flavor, and tastes more like you blended a neighborhood of flavor town into a bowl. I'll be back.
