    Mongolian Beef
    RaniDae T.

They argued with my carer about getting Mongolian Beef without rice. Wanted sautéed veggies instead of rice or salad (have to watch carbs and can not eat uncooked vegetables at all) Price is listed at $8.45 on Google and $10.95 on the menu platform. Was charged $12.95 Instead of sautéed/stir fried vegetables, I was given at $11.95 Vegetable Delight. The Mongolian Beef is mostly onions, I had to search for the beef, and it looks like canned LA Choy chop suey and tastes like it has the same sauce as the vegetable delight. Will not eat here again. This used to be my goto teriyaki never again. Save your money and go to Happy or Yummy.

Wow!!! I don't know why this place doesn't have a better review . I was craving chicken katsu so my husband found this spot . We used Door dash so I truly don't know the ambience . Order : chicken Katsu and fried rice with beef. Wow each piece of chicken was not dry, it was fresh juicy and had a perfect light breading on it . The katsu sauce was tangy and a little different from what I'm used too but still good . The rice with beef was great ! I'm usually not a rice eater but this was flavored, beef was chunky pieces and it was good just really salty .. that was only downside Good food and will be back ! Service I have no idea since we DoorDashed .

    Vegetable yakisoba

Got the vegetable yakisoba and spring rolls . Paid over $20 bucks and wasn't impressed . Teriyaki has a weird flavor like it has pineapple but reminded me of a tomatoe taste as well seems like i got used to the good stuff on the east coast aka ( Miyabi Jr's) best teriyaki sauce EVER and nothing I've tasted compares , comes close , or even somewhat satisfies me . Sweet and sour sauce was almost flavorless ..

Shrimp tempura. Rather small and I only had 5 in my takeout.

A rather hit or miss place. Their tempura vegetables, udon, and sushi rolls might be worth a try, but others, like their shrimp tempura, are rather unimpressive. I ordered a side order of 6 shrimp tempuras and only received 5 in my takeout order, and they're rather small and lack the substance of typical shrimp tempura - definitely not worth $6.49. I once had their Mongolian chicken, and it was okay, as are their teriyakis. I will say that they have some pretty decently priced teriyaki compared to other Bremerton locations, so it has that going for it.

13.00... and they said THIS is the normal.. Plus there was no sauce and the rice was crap.
    Kristen B.

This was 13.00.... Are you kidding me? I called to confirm that this amount was normal... she assured me it was... so either she is lying because I've had this at the one in silverdale and it way more food... or the Bremerton one is shady. I'm going with lies and shadiness. I will 100% never ever come back to THIS joys teriyaki again. What a waste of money and the 15 mins I waited to get it.

Very disappointed across the board with the food. My teriyaki was drowning in sauce and it was soggy. The sushi had so much rice on it I could hardly take a bite. Shrimp tempura was soggy. Overall taste of items were very bland. I ordered without reading reviews because I was desperate and now I mega regret that....

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken Katsu, and Gyoza

Complimentary egg drop soup was delicious. Well, everything was really good! The spicy teriyaki was delicious. Nothing but positive things to say about their food.

    A heaping helping of katsu.
    Rich S.

I'd walked by this place dozens of times before I finally walked in to try it. And now, I've been back several times. We've never had the teriyaki, but we'd tried the katsu, the orange chicken, the fried rice, and the egg rolls - all were surprisingly good. My daughter also tried the salmon and chips and really enjoyed the - the salmon was grilled rather than fried and delicious. The orange chicken has a tangy sauce, the katsu is the real deal (pork cutlet, not chicken), crispy with breading and tasty, and the egg rolls are near-perfection. Portion sizes are large, and the prices are reasonable. Simply put, the food is good and affordable. There's a reason I took so long to go in - it's tucked in at the entrance to Fred Meyer, easy to miss, and not particularly enticing. Once inside, it looks like the sort of place that could be sketchy, or it could be just fine - a menu of pictures and printed prices, with handwritten corrections. That being said, I'm glad I finally did try it. For the katsu and the egg rolls alone, I'll be back again.

    Their cabbage salad.. eww

Great food, great service, and it's a great place to enjoy a meal with my partner! It's my go-to teriyaki restaurant in the area.

The broth was rich. The pork decent. The udon noodles much better than the alternative (which were not prepared properly - and thus difficult to chew). The service was really the main issue we encountered. When you walk into a space with the aesthetic of Yoko Yoko, you expect to be treated to excellent table service. Instead you are left with a code on your table to scan - all ordering done through an app (with few modification options). When you need staff assistance, you are left to wander around the restaurant and try to hail someone. It doesn't make for a great impression (and it certainly doesn't match the ambiance). Overall, I think this restaurant has a lot of potential. But the service definitely needs to change to make it a "go-to" spot for us.

Everything is all jumbled together and makes selecting / ordering chaotic. Once I figured out (or so I thought) I got my order correct, I decided to call to make sure it was correct. Well it was not, probably my fault but I thought they might take pity on me for my ignorance... lol I called right away to check on one order that was to be very specific, and was honest in explaining I may have done it incorrectly online, but needed to correct the order before pick up, the kind hostess put me on hold and came back to let me know that they had already started cooking it and there was nothing they could do, they would just throw it out, but I could order a new order as if I was going to try doing that again online. We ordered 5 meals, so it wasn't like we were trying to get a freebie by any means. So since I was still in need of the specific meal, I braved the online ordering again, with the hopes I did it correctly. Very surprised and taken a back by the lack of "Good Customer" service, especially from a longtime local establishment.

HI LIFE is an exception, and will be a go-to going forward. The Poke sho-ka-do box is a great option for open minded first-timers. It's a huge amount of food, easily satisfying two and giving you a nice sense of the variety of fish and marinades on offer. Note that it's a fixed set, so you'll likely end up with some marinades/fish you prefer over others. The mayo-base poke wasn't my jam, but that's personal preference. One note, it'd be nice if the box included rice. it's available for $3 extra, which feels trivial. As for dining environs, it's located in a refurbished service station. There's limited indoor seating by the service counter, but most tables are under the overhang where gas pumps would have once been. I'd go at a slightly off-time if possible to ensure you get a seat!
