This place was a wonderful surprise, my first time visiting. Absolutely delicious! I placed an order to go for two Teriyaki Chicken meals. It came with 2 scoops of rice, tempura prawns, egg roll, spring roll, salad, and miso soup. It was a lot of food; we probably could have split a meal. I wanted yakisoba, he wanted teriyaki. That's how we came across this place. The menu looked good, the prices right, and it wasn't far for delivery, plus they had a deal on gyoza. When it arrived the portions were big and it all tasted so good. He didn't realize when he ordered that he got a little salad with his and it made him very happy (especially since he wasn't getting veggies like I was). The mac salad is a little different. Today was my first visit to this location. I ordered a dish I usually order from the Joy Teriyaki in Happy Valley (Tofu/veggie bowl). World of different. The Happy Valley location dish is so much better. The veggies at the Clackamas location were mushy, the tofu had little flavor, and I was so disappointed. Choose the Happy Valley location. We have ordered the same dinner weekly, for nearly a year now; Shrimp fried rice and orange chicken with brown rice and pot-stickers. The last two times, prior to this evening, the chicken was super dry and almost the same texture as beef jerky. Not good! Not good at all! So, we decided to give it one last chance as it has been a go-to for sometime now. By far the worst meal yet! The shrimp was so dried out it was nearly as tough as the chicken, which was horrendously disgusting and inedible. The entire meal was thrown out and this will be our last order, for sure! Something about the yakisoba was off and it tasted weird. Service was pretty quick and the food was hot and fresh so that's a bonus. The interior was cluttered and seemed unorganized, The fountain drink machine was not working which was lame AF since I wanted some soda. It's a different vibe when you enter the place, it's a plant shop/restaurant. I ordered Chicken Breast Teriyaki and I didn't have to wait very long for my food to be ready. They are so efficient there...the place runs like a well-oiled machine. The chicken was nicely charred with "serious grill marks" just the way I like it. The teriyaki sauce had a good consistency...it was thick enough to stay on the meat (meaning it wasn't thin and watery). The accompanying salad was just iceberg lettuce...but at least it was chilled and crisp (meaning it wasn't warm and limp with brown spots). Anyway, I was pleased with my meal.
