Love their chicken chow mein noodles 10/10 for that. Absolutely go to Panda Express for orange chicken though. The spicy orange chicken didn't have a pinch of spicy-ness and the chicken is TERRIBLE quality. The sauce is so thick it looks/tastes like old sauce that's been sitting out and just gets reheated in the microwave and the color is so artificial (think of red food coloring), the chicken texture is STALE with a few chunks of good size but lots of small bread-heavy ones, and the taste you get is unchanged DIRTY kitchen oil. This gets worse with their "popular dish" the spicy crispy chicken because it's like chewing on hay. Delicious Chinese restaurant has arrived in North County! The service is so helpful and friendly and their food is definitely equitable to the tasty authentic Chinese food you get up in LA. You can't miss with the Xiao Long Bao, Dan Dan noodles or any of their pork dishes really. Very disappointed I forgot my credit card on tray and I just left for 5 minutes and the waitress used my credit to charged for other order and this is unacceptable. We have tried half the menu and haven't been let down once. The snow pea leaves will have you fall in love with greens and make you wonder why you haven't been eating these your whole life. The dumplings are delicious pillows of flavor and comfort and the sweet and sour pork is the perfect combination of flavors of textures and flavors. I usually drive down to convoy to get good Asian cuisine but now I won't have to. Finally my prayers were answered lol. Joyee's potstickers and pork buns were some of the best I have had in a long time. The chow mein noodles were fresh and delicious. The Mongolian beef was so tender and cooked to perfection. The beef wrap is also very good. The only thing missing was sauces for the beef wrap and potstickers. I usually eat pot stickers with white vinegar or the pot sticker sauce. I make my own sauce with soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, sugar, sesame oil, gochujang, and green onion. Beef wrap would we good with a spicy peanut sauce or some Asian vinaigrette. They have vinegar on the table but it's a dark one that I wasn't a fan of. I will definitely be coming again soon to try the rest of the menu. Also Sunday they close at 8:30 and stop taking food orders around 8:00. We showed up around 7:45 and we had to order quickly. Food came out very fast and everything was fresh and clean. I did have to walk a couple miles after the feast because a pigged out like a fat boy. read more

First we went for the dumplings then ended up ordering chow mein and calamari. Dumplings where amazing, I will be returning for those. Chow mein was delicious and was enough to serve multiple people. I was so happy to see this location open up, FINALLY SOMETHING DIFFERENT! We went to check it out on Sunday afternoon for a Mother's Day lunch, and it was very busy. *GOOD* We ordered Pork Shumai, Mapo Tofu and Combination Chow Mein. The Pork Shumai was pretty good, better than most other places that aren't legit Dim Sum restaurants. The Mapo Tofu was incredible, with a bit of the mala flavor, some heat and delicious ginger flavor. Last but NOT least, Combination Chow Mein. *THIS* was superb. The noodles were chewy, perfect for this dish! Also, the servings were large and 3 items was more than enough for a family of 3. I am already so excited to come back and order even more things! Firstly I do want to say the food here is good! My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch and got the pork soup dumplings, the pork and chive dumplings, green beans, and Dan Dan noodles, all were pretty good! Not the best we've had but still good! HOWEVER this place really needs to rethink its organization. There's no clear protocol when you walk in on where to stand or go to be seated so people end up just kinda floating by the door or by the counter while the waitresses flit around trying to keep up with the flow. They desperately need a person to handle seating/bussing/ and food delivery because the waitresses have a ton on their plates. We were waiting for at least 15 minutes just to be seated and then another 15 to get our menus and order. I know that "just hire more people" is easier said than done but I think hiring just one more person to just handle seating and bussing would be a major improvement read more

I usually like to visit a restaurant a few times before doing a review. I've been to the Joyee Dumpling House four times now and this place is five stars plus! What a great find. The food is fresh and delicious. It's one of those places where you want to walk around and sample what everyone else is eating because it all looks so good. The chow mien is especially top notch. The service is as good as the food. The staff is efficient and very friendly. The portions are large and great for sharing. The prices are very reasonable. The only down side is that the place is a little small, about a dozen tables. However, they turn over pretty quick. If there is a wait, just hang out. It's worth it. read more

Now, I'll start this off by saying the food was decently good and the portions are very generous, but the service we received here was the worst service I've literally ever gotten in my life. For starters, we were standing at the front of the restaurant forever before anyone ever sat us, and there were multiple open tables. We had to flag down an employee to ask if we could sit. They proceeded to give us menus, but no one ever came to take our order even though the rest of the tables in the entire restaurant were getting service. Yet again, I had to flag down an employee to get us our order. Our dumplings came out first, and then we waited a while for our orange chicken to come. Before we received it, another employee (not the girl who took our order) came by and asked us if we needed boxes even though the other half of our order didn't even come yet. We waited half an hour in between when our dumplings and orange chicken got served. Nobody ever came to check on us. No one asked if we needed anything else. The rest of the tables around us were getting properly served and it felt horrible to get blatantly ignored over and over. Everyone else was getting their food before us while we sat waiting. We then waited for our check and no one came so we AGAIN had to get up out of our seats and ask someone for our check. AND GUESS WHAT? No one came to get our check once I put my card down, so we AGAIN had to walk up to the front and pay for the order there. It was the worst service I've ever received. It wasn't even considered service. What made it worse was that all of the other tables were getting checked in on, had their food served, got waters refilled, etc. I've had some bad service before but this was on another level. It was like we did everything ourselves. They kept giving us uncomfortable stares like they knew they were giving us bad treatment. When I was getting up, the lady proceeded to clear our plates and gave me a nasty look for not leaving a tip. Tip for what? We practically didn't even have a server and had to do everything ourselves. I should've gotten a dang tip for doing half their jobs. And beware, at the bottom of the menu they sneakily say they will add a 15% service fee. So wrong. Never coming back here. Although the food is decent, it is not worth the neglectful treatment and nasty looks from employees. Would rather go to Panda Express for some Chinese food. At least I'll get served. read more
