Very cute place. Food was okay for some and not so good for others. Those of us that ordered fish and shrimp tacos loved our food. But those that ordered carna asafa and chicken tacos were not happy with them. The chicken had a burnt charred taste and the carna asada was dry. Service was a little off while we were there. One person ordered quesadilla and it was very dry and very little cheese. We had three different servers and still our guacamole came out after our meal (and I had to remind they or we wouldn't have received it). Just feed back to make improvements. read more

This review is more of a high 3/low 4 Staff was super nice and helpful. Unfortunately several things were wrong with the order. We asked for no "white magic" sauce and it was all over our tacos. We were also told we were getting salsa by the gentleman on the phone and there was none. The quesadilla was awesome but the enchilada was a bit underwhelming. This used to be our favorite date night spot. A+++ Then slowly shrank the margarita size... ok. Then they raised the margarita prices... ummm. Then they got rid of their Taco Tuesday (night) specials... what? Now all of the food is also a notch or two down. We stopped going. Went here for a group celebration of visitors from out of town. Cute decor, great selection of tequila/mezcal drinks & a variety of dishes to satisfy anyone looking for elevated Mexican food. Middle of the road choice, you know, not a mom and pop shop, but not fine dining. A great place to drink and eat with friends, perfect for our gathering. You can make a reservation 24 hrs in advance for groups 6 or larger, up to 15, anything larger than that is considered a "special event booking." I'm sure the busy time varies with our seasons, so in the heat of the summer there were availabilities to accommodate 11 on a Sat night, the weekend of July 4th. We got sat immediately, were constantly attended to, and drinks refilled timely. Food was great! Standouts, chicharróns for appetizer, ranch waters & margaritas of all flavors (we got a bunch tried them all), tacos (all were good chipotle shrimp, Baja fish, carnitas), chilaquiles, massive burrito. But over 14 years I seen the cocktails go double the price and half the size...plus margaritas go from huge stem glass to small, plain tumbler. Joyride is a really great spot to take small to medium groups. There is usually a wait if you don't make a reservation, so plan accordingly. The burrito is the best thing on the menu IMO. The appetizer portions are really small. Like a tiny scoop of street corn per person for 5 people... and 2 average size bites of quac... Wouldn't recommend wasting money on them. We usually visit Postino's next door at least once while in town. This was our last meal before the airport and wanted tacos, boy what a treat! Great atmosphere, outdoor dining, service, and food. Upward Projects restaurants surround this corner. Parking is awful but that's where the complaints stop. The tacos are a la carte but don't skip the appetizers. The queso app, shrimp app, fish and carne asada tacos were amazing. The fried baby corn was ok but the sauce was excellent. Next time we will make time to sample the margaritas. There were four of us for this visit. This would be an excellent spot for a business lunch, or fun date. I was most impressed with their kids options. My little had a cheese quesadilla with mini salad and apple sauce pouch. She loved the mini salad and dressing, lime cilantro but well balance even for people that don't like cilantro.
