I recently had all 9 windows in my townhome replaced by JP Construction and I am beyond thrilled with the end product and the process. With the ongoing pandemic, everyone in our household was working from home. The breaking point for caving in and buying new replacement windows was the summer heat! We'd pondered getting new windows in the past and even consulted with another local company, but we weren't thrilled with that overall experience nor the price point. It was easily $2k more than what we ended up spending with JP. I found the entire process so easy, and the JP Construction team was very knowledgeable, communicative and gave us so many options in terms of product choice, recommendations, and aesthetics. The installation crew were really great too! They were courteous and very efficient. The entire project started at 9am and was completed by 3pm. They cleaned up after themselves quite nicely and wore masks during the whole process. We had security bars and they removed those and hauled them away too. Overall, I have only positive things to say about working with JP Constructions. I appreciated the flexible payment options, the transparency when it came to cost and timeline, and the end product. We've had multiple neighbors tell us we have the best looking windows in the community now. I totally agree! Not only is the product beautiful, but the installation (e.g. caulking, placement, etc.) is much more aesthetically pleasing than my next door neighbors who had windows put in a month prior to ours (obv. with another vendor). One of our windows was delivered with a chipped pane, and JP Construction made sure a new pane was installed right away. We have used this company for two projects now. First was a small siding project on our chimney, and the second was siding for the rest of the house two years later. I have been pleased with their service for both projects. They communicate well and their work is excellent. The crews were efficient, respectful, and on time every day. They cleaned up everyday and managed to work around my garden without hurting any plants! The estimate process was also a breeze and we were able to get everything we wanted. We had some wood rot and termite damage (some we were expecting, some surprises), but the estimate included most of these repairs so we had no extra fees come up through the process. Our experience with JP Construction from initial estimate to job completion was great! Matt showed up on time for our estimate (some others didn't even bother to show, so that was an instant point), and was able to provide an estimate within a few hours. The estimate was thorough and competitively priced. Through them, we were able to work with a color consultant to select our house colors and order paint samples to test things out before we committed. The crew showed up on the Monday before Thanksgiving and had our old siding down and new siding installed by that Wednesday. I contracted with JP to do a siding replacement on my house. All I can say is WOW! They were on time for the estimate, I had it within 5 hours (even though 2 of the 4 business I contacted didn't even send an estimate back), and it was half the cost of 1 of the estimates I did get and 30% less than what my neighbor paid for his siding last year with a different company. They started earlier than anticipated, stuck to the schedule, all the workers were polite and cleaned up the messes every day, and got it done on time. There was a little snafu with a bent water spicket but the foreman came back and fixed it up without issue. I wish these guys did fences too, but glad I have them to call for windows and roofs, because this is Texas and we always need to replace something on these houses! I waited a few months to write this review so we could test out our new master suite windows in the tail-end of winter and beginning of summer. The windows are just as great now as they were when they were freshly installed and it's such a huge difference from our old windows: no more drafts, no more condensation, no more mold, and the room actually maintains a constant temperature. We are very pleased with our experience with JP Construction. We specifically sought a company that did window replacement and siding because we knew we'd need to do both projects soon. We figured the window replacement project would be a good opportunity to find the right company before we tackled the much bigger and more expensive siding project, and in fact, we'll be contacting them soon for an estimate for that. JP was the only company with a usable website on which I could book appointments rather than having to find the time to play phone tag during business hours. JP himself came out to give the estimate, and he was punctual, direct, and professional yet friendly. I had quotes from three companies and all were within $100 of each other (which tells me that they all provided fair estimates), so I went with JP because I had the best feeling about their work, I felt confident that JP would right any wrongs that might happen, and this was the only company that didn't send a salesperson. Fortunately, nothing went wrong! I was contacted by Matt and Mike to schedule appointments for the measuring and the project. Each email to schedule was promptly answered and we quickly pinned down dates and times that worked for all of us. Each employee who came to measure and install the windows was on time, polite, and professional; plus, each of them were friendly to my foster cats! They replaced four windows in about two hours and made sure to clean up the area after they were done. I highly recommend JP Construction and will be using them again myself. read more

About one year ago, my wife and I bought a 1930's-era home in central Austin that had been, in most respects, kept fairly up to date. But, like many older homes, ours came with awesome-if-inefficient old-timey windows and (comically green) asbestos siding. We contacted JP Construction because they seem to have nothing but 5-star reviews anywhere you look and that literally constitutes all of the research we did. Initially, we were going to reach out to other companies (which is almost always advisable), but we knew we weren't going to find either better service or better price points. Jon Polson, the owner and "JP" of JP Construction, came to our house himself and sat down with my wife and me on two separate occasions. He gave us straight-forward advice and even entertained all of the moronic questions I had for him ("Should we consider storm windows? Should we insulate this and that? What's a casement window?"). He was patient, thorough, responsive, and really importantly for a young couple like us, did not try to pitch us platinum-coated triple-paned windows with diamond trim. I know my wife appreciated the fact that he and his entire team spoke to both of us equally. There were no awkward, "Let me speak to the man of the house" scenarios, which we had experienced (amazingly, frustratingly) with other companies in the past. And when they said they would come, they really did show up. We only had one missed meeting, which JP was so apologetic about, he literally offered to come by after hours just to address our concerns. When it came time to move forward with work on the house, JP, his overseeing manager Mike Long, and other members of the crew said that our house would take about a week to complete. We were skeptical--having been told similar things by other companies for work in and out of our house--but they were, again, true to their word. The demolition--stripping all of our old siding; removing the old windows--took a day. The siding was replaced within two. The house was painted the following week. We were dumbstruck. And we were hardly ever disturbed by the workers. Alex (with the painting crew) and Abel (with the windows) kept at it steadily from 8 to 5 every day. Literally, work started on our house in the last week of June. It was finished in the first week of July. We cannot recommend JP Construction highly enough. If you are searching for a company to do work on the exterior of your home, or if you just want to talk to JP about life in Marfa and fun things to do in west Texas, look no further. I contracted JP Construction to replace my crappy siding with Hardy board and repaint my house. It took 4 days to complete the job, and my house looks completely different and 100% better. I'm very pleased with their craftsmanship. A note of caution because I went into this naive: if you have plants growing against your house, know in advance they aren't going to make through a new siding job. This review is a bit delayed but I felt like I have to make sure they received this review for work done on my home in October 2017. I initially contacted 3 companies to give an estimate for siding work that was long overdue on my home. I decided to go with JP after meeting with Matt and felt very comfortable with the estimate being fair and that it would be carried out in a professional manner. Out of all of the pricing estimates for work being done JP was actually the least expensive but provided everything we were looking for with a full Hardiplank refinish and paint, to include gutters. The demo was FAST and our foreman made sure we always knew what was being done to the house that day, communication was excellent. They even repaired an air conditioner copper line which was ruptured while putting up the siding, which I would expect , but they did without hesitation. My job was finished in less than a week and o course I am very picky about fit and finish so any discrepancies were handled immediately. I cant wait to have them build my patio read more

I had to re-side my entire house and have it pained - not a cheap job so I had it triple bid. Jon (JP) the owner came to price my job and really made me feel at ease with his expertise and patience in walking around my home and talking through the various options. Mike, the project manager, then took over and he was equally responsive and efficient ensuring my job was completed in the same week in was started. We decided to replace the masonite siding on our house with Hardieplank. We spoke to several contractors and decided to go with JP Construction. We are very happy with our decision; they weren't the least expensive but they were not the most expensive either by a long shot. They were great to work with ... we needed to wait a few weeks for an opening in their schedule, but the fact that they are busy is a good sign. The siding crew, the painting crew, the gutter company were excellent at what they did and they worked hard to get the job done. After having a bad experience with a window company coming out and providing a high pressure sales pitch, I went online and started looking for a company with great reviews on different sites. I also checked on better business bureau. I found JP Construction and decided to give them a call. Matt came out and looked at everything from the outside of the house. He provided lots of detailed information, some suggestions and asked me lots of questions about what we wanted. He talked about their company and the process. Let me answer lots of questions. He said they'd send me an email with the estimate and I would have plenty of time to decide. True to his word, he did just that. I received a very detailed estimate to fit our budget. I found several friends at work who had gone through the same process and said the rates were great and they couldn't believe the company didn't badger us with a high pressure pitch. We decided to get all the windows replaced in our 30 yr old home. We also replaced the siding, gutters, and had painting done. Their team was great! I felt comfortable having them in my home. There was very little disruption and they kept to their deadlines. They cleaned up after themselves. The windows are beautiful and I no longer feel cold or hot air coming in and out.
