Every time I come here, they do not disappoint. It's really hard to find a nail shop where you have more than just one favorite nail tech. I usually only come here for pedicures, and I go to Vicky and Tay. Recently I went to Tay for the first time, and I just tell her what I want and she goes above and beyond that. All of the workers are rude. They always add extra services without telling you and charge you more . I've always had a bad experience here but today was the worst. My nail tech was passive aggressive and overcharged me extremely. I told I only brought a certain amount of money with me and she charged me exactly that amount before I even told her what I wanted . I should have looked at the reviews before I came here. I'm usually not picky but the way they are here with sanitation is crazy. Lady's re-use the gloves they had on before you get there. The towels and tools are very dirty, and they overcharge you on purpose. I specifically said my 9 year old wants her feet and hands POLISHED. they ended up charging me more than usual and said she got a full "spa pedi" I told her that isn't my problem, I said just polish. Saving my time and money, and not coming back here. Pedicures are suppose to be relaxing. Instead you get a mediocre pedicure. They are so busy now they don't even give you 2 minutes to soak your feet in warm water, they let you dip your feet take them out throw on cuticle softener then cut right away, throw on foot scrub, rinse it off, slap on lotion, do a poor job at shaping toe nails, throw on some paint, let you sit for 2 minutes so your toes can "dry", put your sandals on and get you out. Massage chairs are powerless now. I normally spend $65-80 on a pedicure + full set + gel or just gel mani. But it's not worth it anymore having to go home and re shape my toes. I always ask for square acrylic tip on my big toes, and they always complain and say they can't do it. OR they do an over layer and get upset when I tell them that's not what I wanted. Would have been 1 star but I'm giving 2 because John does amazing nail work. read more

CHEAP Products. I have been coming here for quite some time - and my gf's hate it. I keep coming cause it's close and convenient and just about the same price as others - Ive thought about changing locations but I am loyal to the core until it no longer serves me. First of all, you pay you remove your acrylic nails, they remove them by ripping them off. They literally use another fake nail to scrape it off and ripping them off. At that point they shave off layers of your nail then file them down that's when i decided to give my nails a break and opt for gel, they sell it to you like it's the healthiest thing for your nails (I'm a first time gel user) -I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. My pedicure that isn't gel is still great, no chipping and they are immaculately clean. My manicure however (by another woman who didn't care to clean my cuticles) - WOW. Awful. it's GEL - isn't supposed to last? The next day it chipped, went in to fix - they didn't listen to me on the color added their own color black, whatever. by the 5th day all my nails were chipping and the base was just god awful - see photo. I didn't care to go back and argue with a bunch who weren't going to listen and instead get insulted. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I paid $69.00 for trash. Their gel is so cheap or they don't know how to apply it. read more

I've been coming here for gel manicure's since 2017 however after today's experience I will no longer be back. I came Friday before closing to get a gel mani and by mid day saturday, I noticed the gel was already chipping and coming off. As soon as I noticed I called and let them know of my issue. When I came to fix my nails, the owner was very rude and was blaming the chipping of my the polish on me and my nails. In addition to the the place of blame, it became very clear that he was making fun of me to the nail tech that was assigned to fix my manicure. My issue isn't gel polish chipping, things happen, my issues is how horrible I was treated when I came to fix 'my manicure. A huge selection of nail products does not make up for awful customer service. read more

The shop has always been very clean but they have really gone above and beyond to ensure the customers and employees are safe. I've been with Kristy for ten years now and I have never had any issues. They are taking walk ins but just call to make sure someone can see you. The color wall is amazing but its off limits, color samples are given to you. They have always been really accommodating but please leave your little ones and pets at home. Tips are cash. No lashes are being done yet. Nail days are supposed to be AMAAAAAZEBALLS! So how did this nail day end up so wrong ?! So it's a Friday night about 5pm and I just had a not so great day at work. What better way to change a yucky day then with a manicure?! I call ahead to make sure they can take me and the receptionist tells me there's about a 5 minute wait. Nice! I get there and she seats me right away and hands me the basket full of gel color swatches. After choosing my color, I jump into a couple of Tsum Tsum games to pass the time and wait for my nail tech. 20 minutes pass and the receptionist walks by to assure me that someone is coming to work on me soon so I jump back into Tsum Tsum. I finally get up to leave at the 45 minute mark because wth.. I just wasted 45 minutes of my already horrible day playing Tsum Tsum in a crowded nail salon. As I head towards the door, the receptionist stops me and let's me know the owner can take me now. I really should have continued walking out that door.. I sat down with John and he popped my acrylics off fairly quickly and we made some small talk. He helped me choose my color and I asked if he could do a quick design for me. I showed him the picture of shattered glass that I wanted and he said it was simple and something he could do. I was super excited, I've seen this design for a while but nail techs kept telling me they weren't skilled enough to do it and they didn't want to mess my nails up. I'm totally fine with that kind of honesty, like thank you so much for not wasting my time! Anyway, John gets a phone call and picks up, which honestly doesn't bother me so long as it doesn't affect the work being done. He finished painting the pretty purple onto my nails and then proceeded to cut the holographic strips that create the glass look and I was honestly so freaking excited to finally have glass nails! Except.. when he took my hand out of the UV machine all I saw were isoscoles triangles lined up in a row on my nail.. it looked nothing like the picture I had shown him. He insisted it was the same and even charged me an extra $10 for them. $5 for each nail! If they looked nice I seriously wouldn't have minded paying the extra $10 but they were horrible! The receptionist said if I was unhappy with them she would ask him or somebody else to fix them for me, so of course, I said yes! I really didn't want to go home with weird holographic Christmas trees on my nails the week AFTER Christmas. She had me sit in the chair right in front of his work station to wait for someone to finish up and work on me. It would have been so great to have at least 1 thing go right on such a horrible day, but of course. That wasn't going to happen for me. As I was sitting there waiting, the owner decided to start talking about me in Vietnamese. He was just talking so much trash to the lady he was working on and I just couldn't take it any more. I got up and headed straight to the door and when the receptionist asked what happened, I explained that the owner really shouldn't be talking trash about his clients when they're sitting right in front of him. The lady doing my pedicure tried to get away with not doing everything that was written on the pedicure package and when I asked her why I wasn't getting the callus remover treatment she said that she didn't think I needed it, I was like ummm ok but I'm paying for it and it's included in package . After that she knew I was upset so she rushed through my pedicure and left my gel pedicure smudged it was so bad. A lot of the previous reviews mention that they remove old acrylics or gel very aggressively. Well, they are 100% right. They are very aggressive and inconsiderate when removing old nails. So if you're going in to remove your old set, beware!!! They left my natural nails thin and brittle. They went right away to scrapping and peeling off my acrylics. I had asked the guy to please soak my nails in acetone, but completely disregard me. I got gel-x and the process of it was painful because of how brittle and thin he left my natural nails. On several occasions I complained about the pain. I'm definitely not going back. My nails came out really nice, but it was not worth the pain. I've never experienced this at other nail salons. For the price I paid I can for sure get a better service elsewhere. read more

Came here on a Monday evening to get a full acrylic set with gel. I had to wait about an hour because I didn't have an appointment. My total cost was $38 for the acrylic get set + $1 card charge. In general, my nails came out okay, there are a few paint streaks and uneven shaping, but overall the quality of the salon is good. I think as a customer we just have to be very picky throughout the process and tell the tech if something is wrong to be 100% satisfied with the finished product. I like this salon compared to all the other salons in the plaza because this place is more affordable, clean, and is of good quality. read more

Acrylic nails review: The day before I stopped by a small shop, that will remain amonymous. For the first time in years, I decided to get acrylic. And of course, they botched my nails. I was being lazy and didnt want to drive to Monterey Park, and boy did I pay the price. Desperate, I began taking them off with nail clippers .
