They are super reliable, have fair pricing, always show up right on time, problem solve as little things come up (which sometimes do in old houses like mine) and got the whole job done in less than a week. I chose him in part because of his great reviews but I now realize they are dated and his current business practices border on scam. The scope of the project changed slightly (20% larger) after I accepted the bid and sent in my deposit. After that, numerous additional undisclosed fees kept creeping in: different grout, picking up the tile I purchased through him, shelves for niche - the stone for which I was told I needed to purchase myself and separate from the additional niche fee, dump fee which I told him I would handle, and that extending the tile higher in one section would cost 240% /sqft more than his original quote. The bigger overcharge was that he jacked up the sqft on the bill wildly - the final sqft of the tile put in was 110 but he billed for installing 160 and only used 130 sqft of tile. He claimed this was due to the additional "complexity" of the job but had already billed me extra for the minor additional labor involved and never explained what about the project justified 50% higher install charges. I raised this issue multiple times along the way but he repeatedly ignored them and I had already sent in my deposit/scheduled around him so couldn't cancel at that point. I've hired many contractors on various projects around my house, and a couple times encountered reasonable additional charges if the scope or complexity changes materially. But this has been the first time I've been hit with so many upcharges/overbilling/undisclosed fees vs. the original quote.

Third floor condo - we ordered all, they bought everything up three flights of steps ( 950 square feet) - after carpet was up they noted flooring was off, and LV was not an option unless floor floated. We opted for carpet. They hauled all of the LV back down three flights. Zero complaints. Happy to do whatever was in our best interest!
