This restaurant is a bistro, so we didn't expect anything special in "ambiance." The restaurant was clean and not overcrowded. While our waitress handed us a menu, most of the offerings appear on a large chalkboard. They have all of the standard fare, and then some. My wife decided on two appetizers, short rib ravioli and belly clams. The sauce/broth in which the ravioli were served was wonderful. Each ravioli was filled with ricotta and topped with braised short rib meat and gorgonzola. The clams were tender, not heavily breaded and served with a homemade tarter sauce. I had a combination chicken parm and eggplant parm with a side of rigatoni. That combination seems popular in Portland, but not something I've encountered in the past. It was quite good with an excellent tomato sauce. The serving was more than I could eat. A definite on our "will return" list for next year.

We've heard great things about JP's and last night we finally tried it. Definitely lived up to the reputation! They have a large selection along with daily specials. We started with the wedge and Ceasar salad. Both were perfect. I had the Shrimp Athena and my wife had the Short Rib Raviolis. Both were amazing. Perfectly prepared, large portions and delicious, fresh ingredients. Finished with Taramisu and Key Lime Pie which were a perfect finish to a wonderful meal. We sat at the bar and our bartender was great. Very friendly and attentive, and the place was packed. This will definitely be a "go to" for us. FYI, the gentleman next to us ordered the rib-eye and commented the he is a regular and it was the only thing he orders there, and according to him it's the best steak in the Portland area. I'll be trying that next time!

We have been going to JP's for at least 10 years. The food is always perfect. They have amazing cocktails and service. I highly recommend JP's for a date night or special occasion.

I can't believe I've never eaten at Jp' s bistro! ! sometimes work in Yarmouth and drive right by there and every time I do I think I should check it out. Tonight I did. Having a fantastic server helps and Jamyee could not have more pleasant, helpful or funnier She along with some their of the best food I've had in a long timel because" Dare I say out to dinner" was great. The tables were nicely spread far enough. Great job guys. I had grilled bourbon salmon, incredible!! I ordered rice for a side and received mashed potatoes. The best mistake I've ever had at a restaurant .The vegetables were the perfect side as well. I can actually see myself coming here again and again. I did not have Dessert but next time I'll skip the yummy house salad and get dessert

Chicken Francese over rigatoni, served with a side of delicious veggies (I asked for the cheese on top!) mouth watering

We have always enjoyed JP's. It's still outstanding Had the pistachio mussels, veal piccata and the wine pours were "significant".

The food is amazing and the prices are fantastic. If you are local and have not made Fuego a regular eatery yet, you are missing out on a quality meal!! They do an excellent and very thorough job with take out as well. Drinks are also quite excellent. Great atmosphere, casual and clean. The ceaser side salad was super fresh and I can't say enough about the roasted veggies. They are almost a meal by themselves. We ordered take out this past Sunday and I ordered the taco salad and a side of the veggies. I added them to the salad and it was spectacular!! They are perfectly cooked and garlicky. They went so good right on my salad...which was huge and packaged in a very nice resealable plastic bowl. Crispy and fresh! The food was packaged very well and it was still hot when we got home 20 min away. There are not very many resteraunts available these days that are like this but still completely affordable for local folks.

It's one of those restaurants that always feels like a special occasion without trying too hard. The cocktails are phenomenal. I almost always order an espresso martini, and I love that they switch it up with seasonal specials like the Gingerbread Espresso Martini around Christmas or the Tiramisu Martini. My husband is a big fan of their seasonal Negronis, and they're always creative and well-balanced. I usually can't resist ordering from the specials menu because they never disappoint. If you're looking for tried-and-true favorites, though, you can't go wrong with the chicken parm, carbonara, or the seared scallops. Every meal we've had has been outstanding. The atmosphere is another reason we keep coming back. During the day it's bright, warm, and welcoming, while in the evening it transforms into a cozy, intimate space that's perfect for a date night. The service is consistently excellent. Even on the rare occasion when you can tell a newer server is learning the ropes, the staff works together seamlessly to provide a great experience. You can tell they genuinely care about hospitality. Sicilian Table has become one of our favorite restaurants in Maine, and it's never let us down. Highly recommend!

First, some expectation setting- You can think of it as a first cousin to a grandma style or second cousin to a Sicilian. Thinner crust, decent structure, more structured than a NY, less structured than a Sicilian or a good grandma style. It's a little lighter than a Sicilian or grandma in terms of crust. "Heaviness" is pretty subjective depending on the toppings. The pizza - Soppresatta was packed with flavor, salty, spicy, little sweet from a touch of honey and a very fresh, slightly punchy sauce - keeps some acidity and tastes lively. The crust was delicious, from what I read, this is a sourdough crust. Definitely had some good character and flavor to it.. I got this heated before eating it. The vegan special - obviously I'm not vegan, but that pizza looked phenomenal. Had to try it. This one did not get heated up as it was suggested to leave it cold (logical considering it basically has a salad on top). I don't know what the vegan cheese was but it tasted like a whipped ricotta/goat cheese would. The fresh tomato, pickled peppers and red onion all played perfectly together. I'd certainly go back here. A little on the pricey side but I think it rang in around $18 on these 2 slices (yes, pictured is considered a slice of each) I was plenty satisfied.

Tried to give this place a shot, very disappointed. Definitely not a "Jewish Deli" as advertised…read morehere, it is a Boars Head sandwich shop and not much else. Don't come in expecting to see any fish other than a bowl of old tuna salad. No latkes, no kugel, no soups at all when I went, and I didn't see any pickles either. Just sandwiches and pasta salad. I decided to order a large sandwich on a sub roll, and my partner ordered a large on white bread. Noticed after placing the order that the entire place smelled heavily like burnt motor oil (I originally thought it was the customer ahead of me) so I assume they recently had some heating issues. They definitely should have aired it out and scrubbed the walls because not only does it stink, it's probably unhealthy and unsanitary. Food came out quickly enough, but the "large" sub roll is apparently no more than 7 inches long and not very filling. Both sandwiches were served on stale bread (the white bread was particularly stale) and were definitely overpriced - our lunch of two sandwiches while splitting a soda and chips cost about 40 dollars and neither one of us felt full. I see other sandwiches here are pictured toasted, but that option was not offered to us. The actual taste of the sandwich was mediocre at best. I won't be returning.

Sometimes they have an egg salad sandwich on special too. Love that they offer a deli pickle - mmmm they're so good and at $1.29 a pretty good deal. I also started ordering their salads this week, and they are delicious. Really fresh greens, plentiful ingredients, and pretty dang reasonable at $10 for the amount you get. The pepperoncinis are sometimes kinda weird tasting, but I think it might be because they're slightly pickled? Just be aware of that. Really friendly service in here, and they have plentiful cheese and meat options, as well as wine and other goodies. Love that they carry Dead River chips! They don't skimp on ingredients, and that's the most important thing to me. Everything is fresh, the people are nice, you can order online - what's not to like? Try em out!
