I wish I could give more than five stars. Josh and Pete were excellent in all the ways that I rate contractors. We just had an outdoor spa remodeled including a new spa light. The spa company installed it and it didn't work. Their maintenance person noticed that we had a faulty GFI so we had him replace it. The light kept tripping the new GFI so the spa company told us this afternoon that we need an electrician. We're about to sign off on the completion so we wanted to have this looked at quickly. I contacted JPS via text message and gave the location of the property in Newport Beach. Josh responded within minutes. Serendipitously they were just finishing a project across the bay so were able to come within 15 minutes. They found that the new GFI breaker was not wired properly -- The neutral wire was not properly hooked up. After finding the problem, they fixed it within 5 to 10 minutes. Josh answered my request within a few minutes, took my details over the phone and quoted me right then! Pete and Josh both arrived the next morning at the time they said they would, went over the work with me and explained timelines and expectations. They installed all the lights exactly how I wanted, and took time to explain placement and switch functionality. We also decided to install Lutron Caseta smart switches for all new lights, and also replace existing dimmers throughout the house to match functionality. Unfortunately I was not able to, but still appreciated the call regardless. Once they arrived, it was done within a couple hours. If that. I should mention that I had a security/floodlight installed. I initially wanted to have it above the garage, but after Peter looked at the site, he suggested it go along the side of the garage because of the mechanisms of the garage door, the support beam, and view. He was absolutely correct in the placement. It covers the areas I specifically wanted seen perfectly. They even stayed while I set it up in case there were any issues. Second time I used their service. First time around, excellent, two of the owners came to install some chandeliers, and I asked them to take a look at my kids bedrooms to see if can lights could be installed. Yes no problem, even without attic access there would just be a small numer of holes in the dry wall. Ok great, reasonable price so I set up an appointment for a month or so later to come and install the eight can lights. Boy...owners didn't come this time, they sent one guy who worked almost two hours by himself and then two more arrived. I am kicking myself for not checking in on their work and they never once called me down to tell me that they would need to puncture so many holes in my wall. One room alone has 10 holes, instead of making small holes first to check if there was room to thread the wiring, they kept on cutting the dry wall. I have consulted with two dry wall experts who will charge me upwards of $1200-$1500 to fix this. I also spoke with two electricians that confirmed that the job was just poorly done and they shouldn't never cut the drywall as much as they did to do the work. I am very upset and now know that cheaper isn't necessarily better. I still have to upgrade my electrical panel but unfortunately they lost a customer and won't be using them again. read more

Don't use this company! Poor communication and doesn't do the job they were hired to do! I contacted them to have a hardwired LED mirror installed and they only did half the job. I called the owner Josh while his employee was still at my home and he was combative and aggressive with me, wanting to argue instead of coming up with a solution. He tried to tell me that their company couldn't install my mirror, because they don't do ONLY AFTER half the work was done. Multiple holes were left in 2 of my walls that I was told I need to hire a dry-wall company to repair (which was never discussed) and a third company needs to be hired to install the mirror that I had hired this company to install in the first place. I promise you with the number of good companies that are out there, this company isn't worth the headache. read more

Rather than charge me the owner told me to return my product and switch it out for a new one and then we could continue this later rather than coming out to charge me (like a lot of other companies said).
