I wanted to write an honest review about my experience at this transmission specialist Bob and his…read moreteam at Crom. I showed up with a transmission that had been, at quite an expense to myself been rebuilt in a faulty manner which no one wanted to touch. I had been ripped off and after spending 4.2K on what was supposed to be a 'high performance' transmission from Monster Transmission I couldn't even use first gear out of the box from Monster, and had a blinking O/D light. I am about to deploy and I didn't have time to wait another 6 weeks for a turn around to send it to FL and then get MAYBE a non-defective product. Bob sat in the vehicle with me and saw the codes that I was getting and that the gear shift solenoids were shifting properly. After pulling the valve body and determining that it wasn't the valve body that was faulty, I made the decision to have him pull the transmission and rebuilt it AGAIN.  This was after I saw how many other customers had been ripped off by monster transmissions. I mean I had to REALLY dig to find it on the internet and I regretted I didn't see the reviews sooner.  What he found was absolutely unbelievable.The clutch packs which was out of tolerance of .01 x4 which was the main culprit preventing first gear from working but also a blown out valve plug a broken, deep pan bracket which he had to fabricate a fix for, corrosion on the 'replaced high performance shims', There was another section that had been installed 180degrees from Ford Specifications as well. Bob felt so bad for me after 3 days of troubleshooting and rebuilding even though he replaced all the rusted pieces and parts that they had 'replaced' at monster free of cost to me. Can you believe that Bob found that monster transmissions had put in rusted components into a transmission!? SMH for monster trans. I digress, He re-shimmed everything else back to spec and the transmission is very nice.  He had pictures and showed me in person all the replaced components as well. There was no mystery as to what he had installed and it was an honest and transparent experience.  I wish I had the sense to just have sought out Crom from the beginning! I would have been back on the road within 2 weeks with his 2 year unlimited mile warranty and not spent twice that for a piece of junk that was just painted nice! It now has positive firm shifts and it operates as it should. I don't know if I'll be re-funded by monster but I now trust Crom transmissions to rebuilt my transmissions. I know that Bob rebuilding my transmission and unraveling the problems was tough but he solved it and I'm as happy as I can be and I know that he could have charged me much more for the parts that he had to replace. he loves what he does and the whole shop was awesome to work with as well! I came out 500-800 ahead and only paid for labor.  I trust these guys they are professional and love what they do! Happy to do business with them again in the future. Now a loyal customer!

We went to Mavis because my husband was hearing noises near his wheels. Mavis quoted us $2700 to replace the upper and lower control arms because they said they were bad. We went to c-side for a second opinion and they said it was the wheel bearings on the passenger side. C-side saved us money and also addressed the real issue instead of up-charging us. I highly recommend going to them and anytime I have issues in the future I will be going to them.

Couldn't beat the price and proximity so it just made sense to get it taken care of there. Tires were ordered, arrived the next business day and installed within 2 hours. Service included balancing, mounting and alignment. Overall I was impressed with the service and speed. My 2 complaints: They lost one of my tire valve cover. Not a big deal as I can replace them pretty cheap. One of my tire's pressure was slightly higher than the rest. Most of these issues I should have caught when I picked up my vehicle but I was in a hurry and couldn't stick around. Ultimately I will return as I will need tires on my other vehicle later on in the year.

I never left a review from an issue that happened last year. Went here to have an issue fixed with…read moremy son's car. They diagnosed it based on a code and attempted to fix it after we paid them $1900. Months later the car is still having the same issue that my college student son paid them $1900 to fix. So when he came back in town on break we took it over to them to let them know. Even though it was months later, my son only drove the car about 1000 miles since they "fixed" it because he doesn't drive it a lot at school. The owner Chase was pretty rude and told us that we shouldn't have come in months later even though I explained to him that my son lives 4 hours away couldn't come in sooner. My son also tried to take it to another Aamco close to him, who suggested he take it back to where it was worked on. When we brought the car back to Jacksonville they tried to the diagnose the car again which was now giving a different code. So he said because there is a different code, the car has another problem that's causing the issue and it has nothing to do with what they attempted to fix. It made no sense because why did we pay $1900 for you to fix the car based on a code you relied on and then the car is still having the same issue. How did you fix it if it's still having the same issue? Chase argued that they fixed the problem and it's a different part now causing the same issue. Chase even tried to insult me when I told him they ripped us off and my charged my son nearly 2k and the car is still fucked up. He told me I was not grateful that his mechanics worked hard for me to fix the car and told me to my face I was rude because I am basically insulting the knowledge of his staff. Which by the way I never once said anything about his mechanics. Chase tried to be a smart ass and told me to take the car to Ford and they would tell me the exact same thing and that the work he and his staff did has nothing to do with the ongoing issue. Well guess what, we took our happy asses to Ford and they told us the part that Aamco put on the car was an incorrect part and could not be used with the vehicle. We go back to Aamco and tell Chase and he of course was all in shock and couldn't believe it. He then still wants to fix the car and I told him hell no. I don't trust him at all and demanded a refund. We came to an agreement to have the car fixed at Ford and Chase paid for it. I'm sure he may have lost money but oh well. Next time rather than argue, be rude and insult customers, how about do more research and listen. And yes I was rude right back because I was not about to let this dude rip my kid off and talk me like I was a dumb ass just because I'm a woman. I will never ever use this company again and I've let others know as well.

Either way It was not done by that time and I was not called about it. They closed for the rest of the day, leaving me stranded for work the next day with no vehicle while my work uniform was in the car. A simple phone call could've changed everything. The worst part is, it took me to call THEM the following morning. After calling them, they continued to give an attitude and tell me there was nothing wrong with the car, even after multiple shops and mechanics have told me otherwise. Place should not be in busines.
