All American breakfast with "fried hard" eggs.

My husband and I decided to give this place another try for brunch today. We had been another time for lunch and the food was ok but service was extremely slow. We were the first people to be seated as the doors opened at 11. We waited once again for awhile before our server approached our table. We each ordered the All American breakfast. I ordered my eggs fried hard and the waitress seemed confused by that. I explained so they were just not runny. I also asked for an english muffin instead of biscuit. She had to go back to check and see if that was ok? She came back and said it would be a $1 upcharge and I said fine. My husband ordered his with eggs over medium, ham and biscuit was fine. We did not see our waitress again for refills or anything. 30 minutes later and after seeing other people's food come out(we were first ones in the restaurant) this meal came out. Eggs were burnt on other side, hashbrowns cold, bacon was premade and cold and my husband got bacon not ham. There was no chance I was eating what came out. 30 minutes and food cold and missing items. My husband asked for manager and explained we were not eating this food and that we really tried to give them a second chance. Will not be returning.

Surf and turf with again, the tiniest amount of veggies (3 beans, half slice of each squash and zucchini, and sundried tomatoes)

Food was actually pretty good, but it came with hardly any veggies. The seasonal veg this time was " green beans, zucchini, squash and tomatoes", and each of our dishes came with 3 beans, ONE half sliced piece of each zucchini and squash, and sundried tomatoes. But it took 1.5hr to get food, and our waiter hardly ever came by. After 45min we had to ask for the bread he said the dishes came with. And bc he didnt come back for another 30min, we then had to ask front desk to check on our food, which was brought out immediately and was luke warm at best. Beware the sweet potato is smothered with butter and sugar. I didnt want that.

Food, Service, Ambiance. All excellent! Our server Ty was great Andrew the Mgr came by and asked how everything was too:) This restaurant had modern appeal with small town charm. Full bar too. I had drink special Ocean Smoke Mezcal tequila, blue curaçao, fresh lime ‍ juice and pineapple with sprig of rosemary was awesome Hubby's French Onion Soup was on par with the best we had in Paris as was our Wagu Burgers. Last minute stop as we drove through town. We walked in and was greeted by a pleasant young lady. The atmosphere was welcoming and open. They had a St Patrick's day Special of Corn beef and cabbage. My husband said it was the best he had had in a Very Long time. I had the cheeseburger and fries. I loved every bite. I also had a side Caesar that was crisp and flavorful. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. I noticed that the restaurant has a couple private rooms that one might be able to reserve for a small private dinner. I thought that was nice. Both restrooms are family and Handicap bathrooms. Parking is very close street packing out front. I would highly recommend to stop and grab a bite! So Good and the Prices are very good!

My friend and I are from out of town and we decided to stop by Root and Barrel for lunch. We were blown away with the ambiance of the restaurant as well as the food, which was great! I ordered the half size Fall Salad w/ salmon on the side and I was surprised; Didn't expect my portions to be big but it really filled me up. The salmon was very good but I asked for it to be cooked medium but got well done, but it was okay 'cause it was still soft and flavorful. My friend got the half and half lunch combo (turkey/brie croissant sandwich and tomato basil soup) and she said her meal was delicious. Service was very kind and attentive to our meal, too!

We walked in to JR Chophouse looking for a good burger...then we saw the menu and had a change of heart. Crab cake appetizer was perfect. Absolutely delicious with the house made tartar sauce and accompanied by rosemary bread and garlic dipping sauce. Next up a big wedge salad with blue cheese for my husband and a Cesar salad for me, both with amazing homemade dressings. We ate every bite of those salads For dinner we had the special which was sea bass stuffed with crab meat and a filet mignon. Both were fantastic, although the steak was overcooked. Our server Doreen was sweet and attentive guiding our choices and making sure we had enough of everything. Ambiance was nice and modern with a full bar serving generous drinks. If you are in the area and are looking for a place for a really nice meal...JR Chophouse will not disappoint.

The old fashioned is a smooth trip to flavor town. I would recommend the chefs choice soup as a snack on your trip to flavor town.

Our hostel host pointed us here, and the second we stepped in, we were greeted by Jaguars jerseys on the wall, Mark Brunell and Jimmy Smith. Then we got seated, and right above our table was Fred Taylor's Florida Gators jersey along with a picture of the Swamp. All three of us at the table were Jacksonville guys, so between the Jags gear and the Gators tie-in, it felt like home before we'd even ordered. We all got the wings, and they were excellent. This place oven roasts them first, then fries to crisp up the skin, no breading involved, and that combination does something special to the flavor. Best wings I've had in a while. One of my buddies also ordered a margarita and said it was excellent. Service was great throughout, and the price landed right in that sweet spot, not cheap, but not expensive for what we got either. Fair value across the board. If you're ever in Franklin and want a spot that feels like home even when you're hundreds of miles from it, this is the place.

The last time we went our tab for the two of us was around $70. This time the bill was over $100, for two people, and the quality of the prime was low to say the least. So they raised their prices since last month, and the meat was gristly, and more fat than just marbling in the meat. I feel taken advantage of.

When I submitted my request I was told that I couldn't get suet(beef fat), knuckle bones, soup bones, the shanks, or the liver. Now I am paying for the entire weight and contents of a half. They charge me for the entire hanging weight, not just what I receive. By the way I asked twice for the hanging weight and the final weight of all the meat I received. No info was provided. Anyway when I went to pick it up, the man who helped me was extremely pleasant. He was the one who cut up the side and packaged it per my request. I mentioned these things to him. There were packages of beef suet and marrow bones in the cooler. He gave them to me. Very nice! I just didn't understand why those weren't automatically included, along with the other things that I paid for. The processor should provide everything asked for. It's not theirs to profit on at my expense.
