3 piece cod and curly fries (already ate a piece!)
    Tara N.

I can't believe we have never reviewed J's! Hands down the best fish and chips at the coast. Don't sit till you've ordered. Don't expect fancy. Do prepare to be in awe at the cod fish and curly fries. This place is a must stop every year when we come to LC!

Because my friend likes this place, we ordered a family pack of 10 pieces of cod, your choice of fries, coleslaw, and 4 sauces for take out. After taking my first bite, I was somewhat disappointed because there was more breading than I would like. For my fish, I prefer a light crispy batter. As for the sides, the salt and pepper chips were good and the coleslaw as well.

Excellent customer service! Simple menu. Clam chowder is super tasty! Will definitely return.

Busy on a Tuesday at lunch time, so we took it to go and ate lunch on the beach down the street, the guy who took our order was fast and efficient and still friendly and welcoming, not rude or anything, even when there was a rush. He ran a tight ship! Food came out quick and hot! No complaints, napkins, straws, utensils, everything to go was in the bag already waiting, we were out the door quickly and away we went. Very good system they were running there. I recommend if you want good quick seafood on the coast! I got the combo, 2 cod 1 halibut 2 big shrimp, and a big mound of curly fries (you can pick reg fries or chips too) and slaw) and the sauce is good too. Not bad for the price! This place isn't fancy but it's great food. It was busy in the middle of the week so you know it's worth it.

    Three piece Cod

We were looking for a good place to have some fish and chips. This place was beyond good!!! It's a small spot, with explicit instructions when you enter (I'm assuming they get a lot of traffic and need to keep it moving). We were kindly greeted! We ordered at the counter and were then instructed which table at which to sit. I had the three piece of Cod, my husband had the combo which included cod, halibut and shrimp. The food was served piping hot and was AMAZING! The breading was a thin crunchy batter instead of that thick beady batter. And their tartar sauce - not sure if it was homemade but it was fantastic! It had large pieces of pickle in it and wasn't super sweet. All in all, a fantastic place to eat fish.

We saw a lot of reviews talk about how good the Ramen was so we decided to try it and honestly didn't have very high expectations due to a small town The meal blew us away. The lobster roll was delicious but did wish the lobster pieces had more coating of sauce. When eating the bit with the greens it was delish. The lobster portion was pretty good compared to other rolls we've had. The spicy crab ramen was definitely the star. The broth was spicy and flavorful, but not too spicy, and there was a pretty decent portion of Dungeness crab, which we were surprised because we were expecting a little spec. There was lots of fixing steaks cooked perfectly and lots of noodles. we will definitely stop here every time we come back to Lincoln city now for that Ramen.

They have an ample outdoor parking lot with access to handicap parking spots, so no need to look around for street parking. As you enter the building form the main road you are greeted by a friendly group of staff, the staff seem like family members. Nice touch. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. They two large restrooms toward the back of the building. The interior has a rustic vibe to it. As far as seating you have long family style tables, a few two person tables ands some very creative seating arrangements, I enjoyed the two tall back chairs with a tiny table that faced the main room, also in the back room they have ample seating for more privacy for larger family groups. First come first serve on the indoor seating, if you like they also have ample benches around the outside of the building. One other great touch throughout the building you will find Sasquatch like decor. The menu and food, lots to choose from, to long to list but we focused on the halibut-3pc with a side, ( the halibut pieces are large) we chose the Rosemary fries (a must try), the were amazing and the halibut, Wow it was amazing, the crust or batter was not greasy, great tasting and not dense, it was a perfect blend. Just a tip, if you would like sliced lemons please ask, they are not served with your food. We also shared a bowl of chowder, the chowder was also a treat, it was loaded with veggies and protein, great tasting. I think we might have found our new rest stop.

Seagulls soar by the window and peek at your dinner (separated by glass) and the service is attentive but not overbearing. There's a piano in the lobby and unobstructed views of the coast and when you look down, the sand is right there! Would love to stay here one day. The food was flavorful. I'd rate this overall a 8.8/10. The crab cakes and steak were both house made and very fresh. The steak was perfectly made and bursting with flavor, (T-bone pictured). The side salad was heaping and great to share. The french onion was flavorful but we added some salt and pepper for ourselves. The potatoes bravas were *not* papas bravas and more like breakfast potatoes so if you're craving tapas like potatoes, I would advise considering abstaining from ordering, perhaps. For dessert, the Marion berry cobbler was incredibly fresh and tart. The ice cream paired very well with the Marion berry and pecan crust. I'd love to try the crème brûlée, key lime pie, and lemon cakes one day! What a special place. Took a day trip from Portland to see the ocean, and this was so lovely. We were seated immediately at the bar at sunset on a Sunday afternoon after stumbling across Fathoms. My personal tip for the ladies: the ladies restroom in the bar area has the best views in the house. I snuck a couple trips there to see the sunset from there. She ordered the salmon and chips with clam chowder, and I got the prawns and chips with clam chowder. The clam chowder was honestly really good -- flavorful, not overly thick, and packed with a good amount of clams. Definitely tasted much better than canned chowder considering this was my first time actually having it not in a can. The prawns and chips were also solid. The prawns weren't heavily battered, and the fries were crispy on the outside while still soft inside. Portions for both the chowder and entrées felt generous for the price. Service was friendly and quick. We were seated within about 5 minutes, had a little time to look over the menu, and our server came by shortly after. He gave a great recommendation for my friend's meal as well. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Saturday evening, but we got there right before the bigger dinner rush. Indoor seating filled up quickly, while the outdoor area was quieter because of the wind. Overall, it was a pleasant stop with tasty food, quick service, and a good variety of options, including drinks.
