Oh my gosh, where do I begin? First, didn't think much at all from the exterior of this unassuming stand alone hole in the wall place. But, you should not judge a book by its cover! I started off with Boudain Balls as an appetizer. They were SO. FREAKING. GOOD!!! These deep fried, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside scrumptious mouth watering balls were bursting with so much flavor! They seasoned it so perfectly! It came in an order of three and I didn't even share! My friends had to order their own. Lol. The Boudain Balls were made from chopped sausage, rice, and a combination of vegetable, and aromatic seasoning rolled into a delicious ball! Be careful though cus it was served steaming hot! My table also ordered these bomb wings! They were crispy and crunchy! The salt and peppery seasoning balanced well with the sautéed onions and spicy chili pepper flakes! SO GOOD. I was preoccupied with the Boudain balls, so my friends only left me like two wings to eat. We ordered like 15 lbs. of crawfish and the seasoning was perfection! I thought I heard that they didn't have good sized crawfish this year - I guess because JT Cajun got them all! I was surprised that the crawfish were all pretty big and were just alive a few minutes before going into our bellies. We also ordered the snow crab legs and shrimp! The snow crab legs still had that crisp crack when we opened them (you know that's fresh!) and the shrimp were jumbo and slightly sweet. Sometimes a place will have great seafood, but their seasoning may be lackluster. Then, other places have great seasoning, but not the freshest seafood. JT Cajun does it juuuuuuust right! I felt the pork chops were try because they were thinly cut and over fried. The fried rice was simple, nothing I'd eat again. Do not eat here! I ordered the gumbo which came with a side of rice. I mixed the rice in the gumbo assuming it tasted good but it was disgusting. I took it back 10 minutes after purchasing and the cashier was very sweet but the owner rudely told me don't mix the rice in the gumbo next time and continued to argue with me AFTER returning my money. Makes me wonder if he planned on reserving food I had already tasted otherwise it wouldn't matter if it was mixed together or not because it should have been in the trash. By this I mean all the tables could have used a wipe down and the floor needed to be swept. The food was very bland and had a strange after taste. Because of that I only are one of the wings. After a job fair and going to work my belly told me, LOOK there is the Cajun place you've been passing for months, go eat..Now! I pulled into the restaurant which is located next to a busy access road. When you enter, it's still set up like the start of Covid which was odd for Texas. The young lady at the counter must have had a lot of sugar earlier and was crashing since she was low energy. Low energy and playing with the phone doesn't equal great customer service. You can see the menu up against the wall and my belly said, gumbo and fish. I wanted to wash my hands but both restrooms were closed, insert eye roll with an annoying really. There were only two customers and it took a while to get my food. The gumbo was plain with hardly any stuff inside of soup. The fish were lightly breaded yet really no exceptional flavor. For 20 bucks the not stellar customer service, no bathrooms and flavorless food was not a good experience. This hole in the wall right off 30 and Broadway by the pawn shop is the biggest hidden gem! Crazy huge menu like all your south dallas seafood joints. Don't bother coming here to eat the "last hour before closing" apparently you're not allowed to sit inside with your family and children. We had to eat in our car because we don't live close by but wanted to eat catfish. If your workers are so ready to leave right at closing then you should have the inside lobby close an hour early. I first went through the drive through to order food but got super overwhelmed with all the menu options lol I wanted to know the difference in the salt and pepper wings vs the regular . I was told they had pictures inside if I wanted to see what it looked like so I took the advice and got off. They literally have a WHOLE wall with pictures of all the dishes they serve! Amazingly helpful! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable on the food . I ordered the salt and pepper chicken, fried fish and shrimp and 3 whole wings with fried rice. Everything was HOT and FRESH, and tasted so good! The salt and pepper chicken really has a nice twist to it with the onion , jalapeños, and chili pepper sprinkles! The fish and shrimp were batter perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. The fries have a tasty seasoning on them as well. The wings were also seasoned just right and fried to perfection. Yummy! I ordered the fish and wing combo and it was delicious! The man that worked the counter was nice and very friendly. He greeted us and explained that since we ordered whole wings that our wait time would be 10 minutes, normally all orders are ready within 8 minutes. The restrooms could use a good cleaning and updating. Overall a pleasant experience, my only complaint would be asking for ketchup the woman behind the counter gave us two extra packs. Stopped in to try this place out.Inside seemed clean at first glance except for a real strong cleaner smell right as I walked in. There is a wall of pictures of all the different options. Various combinations of chicken wings, grilled or fried shrimp, fish, pork chops, or boiled shrimp and crawfish. The clear stand out is this is cajun, but there is no red beans and rice, no dirty rice, no etouffe... but they have fried rice?? I ordered the 2 piece fried fish, fried rice, and veggies and sat down. Then I had time to sit and look at how not clean the place was. They have thin white plastic table cloths. The shrimp/crawfish are usually just dumped out on the table. But these table cloths are obviously re-used several times. They have rips from used. There was Cobb web by my table with a dead fly in in, and the tartar sauce bottle did not look clean at all. Then started looking at the building out side. It has new paint, but is really dirty and needs some TLC. The fish came very hot out of fryer, and was decent portion. But now where does it say the kind of fish. I could tell was not catfish. Hush puppies were on small side, and fried rice was bland. Veggies were ok, not real hot, and not flavorful. This place needs to step up its game with the finish out and details if it wants to stay around. I have no plans to go back any time soon. read more

We came over here because I was jonesing for some Cajun and wasn't wanting to spend $60+ at Razzoo's. This little hole in the wall is perfect to satisfy your Cajun craving while saving your wallet. I ordered a pound of crawfish with the traditional Cajun spices and my boyfriend ordered the four piece fish filet. We also added an order of corn nuggets on the side. For starters, the crawfish they give you are big! They're not the usual small sized crawfish, so I was already impressed. The seasoning permeated during the broil so after shelling, you still tasted flavor. The breading for the fish filet was crisp, but not too hard. The corn nuggets aren't as creamy as the corn nuggets that you'd get from Golden Chick or Chicken Express, but you get more nuggets for less price, so it's definitely worth it. This place also sells crab legs at market value. I'm very curious about that, so I will be coming back soon. read more

So I accidentally found this place because I took the wrong exit to get to my friends house, turned into the parking lot to try and turn around and I was also hungry so I decided to give it a shot! The seafood boil here is delicious! Everything is packed with flavor and they don't skimp you at all on meat. I especially loved the crab legs and the crawfish, which comes with corn, potatoes, and sausage - all of which are cooked well.
