This used to be our favorite place to get bagels in the area but the last 3 times we noticed the quality has gone downhill. From poor customer service with argumentative counter people who don't understand their own bakers dozen deals, twice screwed up what we asked for on each bagel, to all 3 times seeing the people in the prep area take precooked eggs out of the warmers along with over cooked dry bacon. While it's always nice to get a breakfast, bagel sandwich quickly, we'd rather wait to have our eggs and meat toppings made to order especially seeing that the business has slowed and knowing they The bagels themselves have still been very large but "airy" and dry and crumbly even when not toasted. They just don't have the same texture or taste nearly as good as they did 2 years ago. Considering going maybe one more time and hoping things go back to the way they were before we give up on ever going back. JT's is God's gift to bagel-kind! The pizza and French toast bagels are to die for. Everything bagels are scrumptious. I also love their iced coffee, it's sweetened just the way I like it. Only three caveats: * Long lines at times, because everyone wants some JT's. * They do put what I consider an excessive amount of cream cheese on - I can't complain too hard about generosity but I usually ask them to go light on the cream cheese. * Said iced coffee only comes pre-sweetened and creamed, which may not be for everyone. The BEST bagels in the Forked River area!!!! And great prices too - cheaper than Manhattan Bagel. Always busy, usually mobbed every weekend morning, but they do a great job keeping the lines under control. Their pork roll, egg, & cheese breakfast sandwiches are incredible - they are not cheap with the pork roll either!! They have delicious iced coffee too! Yes their bagels are awesome. Large crusty on the outside, soft on inside. The sugar ones and the swiss cheese ones are my favorite...and Im not a big swiss fan...Theyre far from me 20 minutes...I like to go when I can...sometimes once a yr is it. But go early, they run out. read more
