STAY AWAY! Ordered 6 fresh proscuitto hams in May 2012 for November delivery. Sent Paul a $300 deposit in May......yea...$300! This Paul guy has no conscience regarding my order....after many weeks asking for and not getting updates I get a cryptic e-mail response blaming everything under the sun accept of course his utter lack of customer concern and abundance of dishonesty.....still no product only excuses. This is a review for both Jubilee Farms and Yelp. The fact that there are 14 filtered reviews and only one non filtered review speaks volumes about Yelp's business practices. If you look at the filtered reviews, you will find all of them negative. Yet the only review that appears is positive. Yelp is a scam and does not do the public any favors with this. Now, for Jubilee Farms. My experience was the same as everybody else. We paid Paul for some pork. Excuse after excuse. Delay after delay. It wasn't until I wrote him a letter threatening to sue, backed up with evidence of his previous practices, and threatened to call the DA as I believe Paul is committing fraud. I did not pick the meat up from the butchers as the processing was not paid for by J.F. I had paid for it prior. Paul was unreachable for a week. We spoke and he agreed to give us a refund as the terms of our business agreement had not been met. The refund, $480, was received by us yesterday 3 months after we were suppose to have received a whole pig. Even in giving the refund he kept twisting his story and the facts. Thing is, I have e-mail correspondence to prove everything. We may have gotten our money back but we have still lost out. That meat was planned on. Since we ordered and paid for the pig, Paul has raised his prices to nearly double. This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. read more

Bad news outfit. Pay your money and get nothing in return. Paid for 50 lbs of goat meat and a month later have excuses while he's still selling more.... On November 17, I finally received 57 lbs of goat, having gone out to the meat processing plant in Dixon to pick it up. Glad that Paul came through, though a month late on the contract. After nearly 9 months of delays, promises and outright lies, Jubilee Farms FINALLY refunded my deposit, but ONLY after recieving calls and emails on my behalf from the Sacramento D.A. If they owe you money, try filing a complaint with the Sacramento D.A.'s Consumer Complaint office. They are already familiar with these charming scammers. read more

A true scam "farmer". Paid $350 for a half a hog in Feb. 2012 that never got delivered despite repeated promises.

I hope that in writing this review, it will give warning to others not to trust this business! We paid for services which were not rendered and are unable to get our money back. Paul is full of empty promises and does not follow through. We were very sad to find this out the hard way, we really trusted him and wanted to help a local farmer succeed....but he just doesn't follow through with the goods that he promises. After getting a copy of the butcher receipt I threatened Paul with legal action. Now he has "offered" to give back a "refund" for about half of what he owes me. And he requires a signed statement be sent to him first... and then trust that he will send payment. I'm done trusting him. read more

I paid Paul several hundred dollars as an advace on a hog in May. The hog was supposed to be delivered mi-June. I have not recieved anything. I asked for my money back at the end of July. Paul is very evasive at one point he said my refund had been sent to another customer, in anycase here it is mid-September and I still have not got a refund he has had my money for 4 months. No service no product took my money and will not give it backwaht does that sound like. read more

Please do not give any money to Jubilee Farm! My family paid Paul, of Jubilee Farm, $960 in Feb. 2012 for a whole hog, some lard, 20 chickens, and 10 ducks to be delivered in April/ May. When May came along, we called Paul, and were told that our hog wasn't big enough, and that it would need a few more weeks. After a few weeks we called, and emailed Paul, but we got no response. After a couple of weeks of emails and calls and posting on his facebook page he finally wrote back with a silly excuse. He finally then said that he would have our hog in a week, but the birds had a virus, so he couldn't give us those yet. After a couple of weeks of calling and emailing him, he called back with more excuses, and now said he only had a half a hog for us. We said that we would take the half, with the other half to be delivered in Aug.. On July 2 I drove an hour and a half from my house to meet paul and get the half hog, that I had paid to have delivered. As I was on the road, Paul calls to say that someone else took our pork, and he didn't have anything for me, but he would process our entire order in one week. I drove an hour and a half home, and waited. Two weeks go by, and nothing! After calling and emailing multiple times, with no response from Paul, I wrote an email demaning my money back and said that I would take him to court and write bad reviews. He then called five minutes later with more excuses. He told me that he owed money to the butcher and couldn't pay them for our pig, and that he didn't have our birds. We gave him one last chance to try and have our pig processed, and he could refund us the bird money. Now he is not calling. I now have to take him to court, and write reviews. Paul from Jubilee Farms wanted to purchase several litters of Berkshire piglets from us, asked us to hold pigs while he checked with his financial backers, then made arrangements for delivery of piglets. He never returned our calls or emails the night before delivery, and then called late afternoon the day of delivery to state he didn't have the funds to pay for all the piglets he reserved, but that he would have the funds in "a few days", which is the same thing he had been telling us for weeks. I am glad that I didn't haul the animals over there and stress them out, and I sold them to someone else instead. I now see that he is advertising that he breeds and raises "Berkshire" and "Kurobota" pork., and that he has some ready for butcher. A few weeks ago, when he tried to buy my Berkshire piglets, he only had American Guinea hogs. It takes almost 4 months for a bred pig to produce piglets, and another 6 to 7 months for that piglet to reach butcher size. Purchasing and fattening animals is NOT the same as breeding them, and purchased hogs not bred on an organic farm can not be sold as "organic". I will not deal with him again, after this experience. Holding the animals for him to come up with the funds caused me to lose money, and he never explained why he flaked out and didn't get back to us or complete the deal. read more

I wished I had seen the reviews of Paul Clark and Jubilee Farm back in July 2011. I urge anyone of thinking of doing any business with Jubilee Farm, Paul Clark, or anyone associated with Jubilee Farm, to run the opposite direction and to keep your money. Mr. Clark took our money for a pork order, an order that he never delivered and he has never returned our money despite phoning and e-mailing him many, many times. Now Mr. Paul Clark does not return phone calls or e-mails and his phone automatically goes to a voice mail. Mr. Clark sees no problem taking your money to use for his own purposes, and because we trusted him, I am now out of my hard-earned money while Paul Clark and his family are now richer at my family's expense. Mr. Paul Clark at Jubilee Farms appears to be just scamming people as I now see that many people have encountered the same as my family and I have - he takes your money and does not deliver anything to you. Paul Clark even gave us the same excuses that I am now seeing others posting such as "someone else took our pork", "he is church right now and will get back to me", "it was the butchers' fault", etc and etc. Now, I am left with no other option but to take him to court. BE WARNED - PAUL CLARK IS JUST TAKING YOUR MONEY AND IS RUNNING A SCAM!!!! There really should be negative start when rating. We purchased pork from Paul Clark 1) because of his product and 2) we like to support local farming. However, Mr. Paul Clark's actions are making us think that it is not worth the risk in purchasing any products from a local farmer ever again! read more
