It should not take 15+ minutes for a smoothie. They need a better system. The woman scooping the stuff into the blender did not know how to make the smoothies. The woman using the blenders had to tell her to add more stuff multiple times. When the smoothies are priced as high as they are they shouldn't have this poor service. read more

This location was clean, spacious, and efficient. I saw a bench and limited outdoor seating but there was plenty of room to stand inside and to wait for your order. The customer service was great! The door is literally on a side street- and I thought based on the address it was on a main Street. The inside is just as clean and organized as any other JG and as I stated earlier the drink was good. I always get the "Peanut Butter Split" (I believe that is the name) but the Kale smoothie is just as good. I usually come here for breakfast. Today was very memorable and I will not return to this branch again. There was PLASTIC in my pb acai which is still stuck on my throat by the way even after drinking lots of water. I told the lady who made my bowl that I just ate plastic, she wasn't apologetic but offered to make another bowl. Well, take a look at the 2nd photo. Does that bowl look $12 to you? It was almost half-filled and there was another round of plastic. Not to mention that they added cacao nibs when i specifically told them not to do so. This happened on April 4 around 10:30am-11am. Pre-pandemic, there was usually a bit of a wait during the work week but that's because it's Manhattan and this place is popular, so that's not something to complain about. I asked "can you find out?" and he said no, then put the menu in front of me and said you're welcome to look for it. Asking for the amount of protein in protein powder is not the weirdest request, and the fact that he wanted me to look was even worse. Then, as I started looking he told me the price, I said it looks like it doesn't say can you look on the bottle, to which he said no then read the price again. I paid and this guy didn't even look at me. Then..on top of everything, the smoothie was so poorly blended that I could not get anything through the straw and had to wait to get home, that and I saw the lady put what looked like a quarter cup of peanut butter in it. Quality of the juices/shakes depends on who makes it but keep in mind you can make requests (i.e., blend it longer, etc.). Glad this location popped up. Knocking off two stars for the audio track because on multiple visits, it is at concert level volume. Get you want to inject energy into the place but it's a turn off when bass is pumping through your skull while you're waiting for your order. It makes for an unpleasant environment.
