The service was absolute trash. The waitress Cynthia would go outside and smoke and leave us to our devices, which was nothing. I say that because, I had to go get my own napkins plastic ware and and plates. I ordered an Arnold Palmer, and at first I got received a unsweetened tea. I told the server and she brought back a warm sweet tea and a lemonade in separate cups. Then the clam chowder was horrible. Tasted like mop water. The calamari was fried too long and was rubbery. We arrived to the location about an hour and a half before closing. We eat pretty fast so I assumed it would be fine, we ask for a table and the waitress checked her watch saying they'll start cleaning up in about an hour. That's fine but now we're uncomfortable because it doesn't feel welcoming. Whatever, we sit down. Another person comes to take our order but very rude tone and almost rushing. It was very awkward. When he came back after he was actually very polite and probably realized we weren't going to sit inside forever. The food was actually amazing but the initial hostility made it strange. Amazing Food, Busy Night, Still Worth It We visited Juicy Seafood and ordered Combo D (1 lb snow crab, 1/2 lb headless shrimp, corn, and potatoes) along with raw oysters, and the food itself was excellent. The seafood boil was hot, flavorful, and generously portioned. The snow crab legs were meaty and sweet, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the corn and potatoes were soaked in rich, buttery seasoning. The raw oysters were fresh, cold, and clean -- a great contrast to the bold flavors of the boil. That said, they did seem a bit overwhelmed during our visit. Service was slower than expected, and we needed to ask for assistance more than once. However, it was clear they were working hard and doing their best during a very busy time, not ignoring customers or being careless. Despite the wait, the food more than made up for it. This experience was completely unacceptable. My partner came in a little before 10, over an hour before closing, and asked if they were still taking tables. We were fully prepared to go somewhere else if not, but since we knew we'd be in and out within 40 minutes, we figured we'd ask. A gentleman said he wasn't sure if the older Asian female server would take us, but she did. From the moment we sat down, her attitude was off. She rushed us to order, which we didn't mind, but then less than ten minutes later our food came out wrong because she clearly rushed through taking the order. When we tried to fix it, she came back argumentative and insisted I was the one who ordered incorrectly. That was simply not true. I've been vegetarian for over 15 years and just recently started eating fish, so I'm very aware of what I ordered, and what was brought out was not it. Especially because I didn't even know the name of the crab she brought out!! Instead of acknowledging a mistake, she tried to put it on me, which was both unprofessional and disrespectful. Then, while we were still in the middle of eating, she came over and told us to pay because the register was closing, even though the restaurant itself was still open. I've worked in restaurants and my family owns them, and there is no reason to ask a table to pay mid-meal unless there's a legitimate circumstance. There wasn't one here. She wasn't leaving, she wasn't transferring the table, it just felt like a weird power control move to assert her dominance and make us feel bad. When I addressed it, she suddenly acted like she didn't understand and switched to a performative "you can stay and dine, it's fine," which completely contradicted how she had been treating us the entire time. If taking a table an hour before closing was an issue, we would have understood being turned away. Instead, we were seated just to be rushed, blamed for her mistake, and made uncomfortable the entire time. We spent around $100 and ended up packing our food and leaving because the atmosphere she created made it impossible to enjoy the meal. This wasn't just bad service, it was outright rude and unprofessional. I have been a server I know the struggles. But if it was socially acceptable to curse her out I really would've and she would've deserved it. Instead we just tipped her 15 percent instead of 20. I genuinely hope she sees this and realizes how rude she was and takes a moment to figure herself out, because she completely ruined my partner's and my day. Seriously, we went to Juicy Seafood with very low expectations based on reviews - my in-laws wanted to go here, as it was near their hotel, so we took a chance. Don't let the bad reviews deter you! I am a very easy going, and can just eat about anything. I have had crawfish boils just about every weekend this season in my two 100 qt pots. So I decide to make it easy and just order some to the house along with some crab for my girlfriend and I. First, crab was great!!! Just wished we got more than a pound (2 legs). For the crawfish, I can tell immediately they are over cooked by looking at them, but still excited because I am a crawfish fanatic until I tasted pond water. The meat was tough and wouldn't come out of tail. I just have never had such a watered down batch before. I called asking if they forgot to add our "Cajun seasoning" and they responded with "that's it". Poor attitude with me calling with a great attitude and just rudely stating "that's the Cajun seasoning flavor" . We may try and put them in the oven to get flavor, but that doesn't fix the crawfish being already super dry. After a long day of driving, we checked into a nearby hotel, when checked out Juicy Seafood. I ordered a beer and a pound of dungeness crab. Oh my word, the crab boil (cajun spice) was outstanding!! Not really sure that the issue is with the ppl who actually work the counters but I would rate them a zero if possible. Bad enough getting no greeting after standing there but once they did acknowledge me it only got worse.
