This place is great! Eric is tops when it comes to the wait staff. He makes you right at home like he has known you most of your life. He always has a smile and can tell you what is good coming out of the kitchen that night. Speaking of food, we are here frequently. We really enjoy the food. We have never had a bad meal. We have met the chefs, which gives some added perspective to the dish. We enjoy the environment, the music and the conversation. Joe, have you thought about hosting oldies dance events? Brought my MIL here for her birthday. Loved the ambience and attention to detail. The music was extremely period-appropriate. The food was really good. I had the crabcake sandwich, which was really good and had a lot of crab. Get the fries. Philly cheesesteak was similarly good. Only minor issue was that the broccoli was a bit on the tough/undercooked side. Otherwise the food and service were great. This was definitely worth the drive. read more

Love this place! Friendly staff, great owner, nice family atmosphere! Had one of the breakfast specials this morning and it was fantastic! My husband had the steak and eggs breakfast and his steak did not turn out the way he ordered but the owner himself corrected the problem with no issue. Never was made to feel embarrassed like some places would. In the end my husband said the steak was well seasoned and tender and my husband can be a bit of a steak snob LOL Waitress, Bonnie, was amazing. We never had to worry that our drinks would run out and her suggestions for additions to our orders were spot on :-) In the past we have normally got takeout food from here but I feel Bonnie's friendly personality will make it worthwhile coming in to sit down for a meal more often. Oh and one of my pet peeves with restaurants is if the bathrooms are taken care of or not and the bathrooms here are clean and obviously well maintained. May sound silly but I feel how a bathroom is taken care of can often be a reflection on how the restaurant is run as a whole. Bottom line; its a good, honest, down to earth diner and I will continue to be a regular patron. read more

This is my favorite food joint in Virginia. It has rad retro vibes and I really appreciate how much they put into giving the place the cool vibe that it has. The service is AMAZING; our waiters we're so so so kind! They were all friendly, genuine and funny. I had a chocolate milkshake and fries and they were delicious. Was in the area yesterday and had the pleasure of eating breakfast at the Juke Box Diner. Wasn't in the mood for fast food. I opted to sit at the counter. The waitresses were very efficient and waited on the customers in a timely manner. I ordered chicken and waffles and they were outstanding. 5 stars because they always leave me alone. This might sound novel, but all i want to do after a long day of talking to people at work is sit in silence and eat dinner. The service is friendly and prompt. They take my order, bring me my food, make sure my drinks are full, and otherwise largely leave me alone. The food is decent but it's average for a diner. Ordered delivery. They had to call me to change my order because they did not have the dessert I ordered. It took over an hour for the food arrive and when it came it was cold. They had already dressed the salad. Who does that for delivery? The piece of cake for dessert was puny and they charged me over six dollars for it. And it wasn't even good cake. Poor customer service all the way around. Not busy at all but completely unprepared to serve customers. Unfortunately there were a few areas of concern. When we were seated the server took the sugar tray from a table where customers had recently left. This was evident by the left over dirty dishes still on the table. I thought this was a violation considering the current environment. When ordering we were asked if we wanted sausage, bacon or ham. We ordered ham. Found out later that was an additional charge. When i asked about the extra charge the server told me he didn't make the prices and he could show me the menu. Our order took a long time to be served. In that time they never asked if we needed/wanted any refills. When our food was brought to our table I had to stop the server to ask for a refill on coffee and for basic condiments. The server was in such a hurry we weren't able to ask for everything we needed. The hot sauce I requested was again taken from a table that was recently used. Also disappointed that I was charged $2.59 for coffee and was only given one refill. The server said they were making a fresh pot. The restaurant was only at about 25% capacity. If this place was busy no telling how much longer it would take to be served. Food was ok, not terrible but nothing to speak about either. Had the service been good I would probably give them at least a 4. read more

Love this place. We come here on a regular basis. With restaurants you want good food that isn't a crazy price in a clean friendly environment. This ticks all the boxes, with delightful waitresses you can tell enjoy their work. The manager or owner is hands on and takes the time to greet you. We shall keep coming. Up the Jukebox!! read more

My husband and I generally have a good experience at JBD but today's events will cause us never to return. It started when we walked in and the hostess, rather than greeting us, just grabbed 2 menus and walked us up the stairs to seat us. My husband took the cue but I would have waited until a proper greeting was provided or at least a "Follow Me". Our waitress then took our drink orders and promptly returned with our coffees and waters. At that time, she took our orders. Fifteen minutes later, another pair sat down next to us, two young women. Same waitress gathered their orders and at that time refilled our coffees. Another 10 minutes go by and the hostess brings over the 2nd pair's food. I speak up asking for our food to be checked on and the response was a back turned, "We're busy". Wrong answer. I then mentioned that the 2nd pair sat down 15 min after our arrival was just served and she said "I know, It's coming" and then walked away. Again, wrong answer. My husband and I waited another two minutes before electing to leave having now been their for almost 30 min with no update on our breakfast. As we were leaving, hostess with the not mostess was by the bar area and our waitress said "Hey you two". We turned around and I instructed them to take our food back, that the service was beyond awful and described the scene with the hostess. The hostess said "I just told you the truth". I explained that she should have delivered better customer service and that we often dine at the JBD but will no longer be bringing our business there. The hostess should have at least said "I'm so sorry for your wait, let me check on your food, I know the kitchen is busy." Instead she couldn't be bothered. The service has gone down significantly of late. The last time I was there I waited for several minutes for our server to return to check on our food so I could ask for hot sauce. She never came back so I walked over to a table that had a bottle and retained it for myself. My husband observed the gravy on his order had formed the hardened film which leads us to believe our food was left in the window and would have been cold by the time it arrived to us. If you are looking for good, quick, pleasant service, this is no longer the place to go. Even the food is now mediocre. It's unfortunate as I like frequenting local businesses but our service at the iHop up the street was 100% better and 100% faster. read more

Horrible! Ordered food for delivery, was told it would arrive at 12:30pm. It's after 1:30pm and I still haven't received my food! Over an hour late, yet when I call to inquire about my food they say "it'll be there any second, they must have got caught in traffic." I live 5 mins away, there's no way in hell they got caught in an hour worth of traffic! I requested a refund and I was told "it's not our fault so we aren't giving you anything back." My wife and I stopped into the Jukebox with our 8 month old a week ago. The food was fast, well cooked, and the service was awesome. My wife had decided to make a bottle for the baby. Faud, the manager came over to the table and after introducing himself and asking about our dining experience, he offered to fill the baby's bottle with hot water from the kitchen. There are a couple other diners in Manassas, but none that parallel Jukebox in cleanliness and atmosphere. read more

Every time I have dined here I have good service, even though it's a 50's style dinner the food is very good. It's a family owned and run restaurant. With a wonderful atmosphere. All that its missing is girls with poodle skirts. I will continue to eat here when ever I can. Both times I came in with a valupak coupon and both times the waitress feeds me some crap about how she can't honor them because the manager isnt there to override the system. Sound like a shady bait and switch scam to me. Add getting a completely wrong order and having the waitress tell me sorry. Just sorry, not let me fix it or take it off the check. Probably cause she cant with out management there. 20 minutes to get a refill on coffee and then some more for the check. But the whole restaurant was open with just one waitress and one cook. This is my new favorite diner in the Manassas/Gainesville area! They have wonderful cold brewed coffee, their Italiano Benedict was delicious, with a rich and creamy hollandaise sauce. My friend had the veggie omelette, which was perfectly done, and visually very pretty, too! The service was speedy, attentive, and helpful-my friend has celiac disease, so gluten-free is a must for her, not simply an option or preference. Bonnie, our server, was very knowledgeable about the menu options, guiding my friend to the best gluten free choices. They also have a gluten free section to their menu. Will be back! read more
