For example, yesterday, I had their Peter's Special, a sandwich made from 1/2 lb of pastrami and 1/2 lb of corned beef. Except that it's not "a" sandwich, but three, all on delicious rye bread, each with its own pickle, and a small helping of slaw, sauerkraut, and a major pile of salad. It was my lunch yesterday; the remaining two sandwiches are my lunch today and tomorrow. That's three meals for $30, which, to me, is a reasonable price. The problem was that the more they do to create the food, the less flavorful it is. For example, on another recent visit, I had their Country Style Omelet. Again, it was huge and contained everything that goes into a great omelet. Except, there wasn't a lot of flavor. And that seems to be the theme. I grabbed a slice of their 24-layer cake and, again, big but not much taste beyond sweetness. If you crave a lot of food, then this might be the spot for you. However, if you prefer less and more, smaller portions with better, more nuanced flavor, then maybe try one of the other nearby restaurants.

It actually tasted very good but again the shrimp were very sadly overcooked which made them tough and chewy. So the food is definitely not for me, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a discerning taste. I also consider the food here very expensive relative to some other nearby restaurants that provide some truly great food at a much better price point.

I have passed the Jukebox diner multiple times whenever I go through Manassas, and although I always thought the place looked pretty interesting, I'd never taken the time to stop by to try it out. But a few days ago, my husband and I had some free time on our hands and decided to go get some dinner and follow up on a friend's insistence that the food was really good and there was a car hanging from the ceiling. Yes to both of those! One of the coolest things about this place is the beautiful Shelby Cobra hanging over the bar. Our waitress seemed pretty enamored of it too, even going so far to say that she had applied to work there solely to be near the car. We think she was kidding, but the car is really cool. I don't know why this place has any bad reviews... the food was delicious. I got the mixed grill and my hubby got a hickory burger. Both were excellent, and the service was prompt and very thoughtful. Our waitress took time to talk and joke around with us, and was always there to fill up our coffee and water. She's actually the reason I'm "yelping" Jukebox, because she was regaling us with a running dialog on her manager's attempts to get more reviews on "Yelp" that had us rolling with laughter. She was cracking us up trying to think of a "not ridiculous way to say YELP US if you like us!" It's also a family-friendly atmosphere, so we plan on bringing the kids back to try out the arcade-style games and home-made milkshakes (that are delicious!). This is definitely our new favorite place to eat in Manassas! My only complaint was it was pretty empty for the time of evening, which makes it feel a little bit echoey. We asked our waitress, Nikki, if it was ever busy and she told us that was usually quite busy on the weekends, but sometimes weeknights can be a little slow. We hope this place doesn't end up closing! It could definitely use some more business and I'd hate to see a cool place like this go by the way side. read more

I had a pickup order that was beyond simple. I got there and asked for the order and the young lady asked me to let her go check on it. She then went about her duties as a waitress and never came back to me to notify me of the status of the order. I had to inquire after seeing her walk around the establishment and she stated that the kitchen was working on it. 5 minutes later she comes back to me and says that the cooks just notified her that they don't have the order. I gave her the order. She said that their facility does get postmates orders. That irritated me because the person that the order is for just so happens to be handicapped and relies on orders from postmates. This is the 3rd order in the last week. I then announced my grievances and the young lady eas pouring coffee and smirking at me issue. I can't stand horrid customer service and more important that she took someone else to casually when they can't come and do for themselves as all of us can. What if someone took her casually at the table and left her coins for her service? Just completely deplorable. I encouraged the client to never order from here again predicated on this experience. Not only that but we will refer this experience to the entire organization so that none of our handicapped clients order from here. read more

We ordered dinner from here on June 25, 2019. Delivery number 181255. Our order was taken by Shawn. Shawn not polite at all to us. When we first called in to find out the soup of the day he answered with, "what?". Ok, we decided to ignore this and place an order. Shawn took our order as quickly as possible and obviously was in a hurry and short with us. Shawn told us that it would be 45 minutes. An hour passed and we called to see where our order was and Shawn answered again. He told me that they have lots of orders and our order will be at our house in a minute. He was again quite short with me. Half an hour later our order finally arrives. The driver tells us that the original driver had a flat tire. Ok, we understand that but Shawn could have told us that. Our food was cold and we all had to heat our food up. My husband had a hair in his meatloaf. We understand the first driver had a flat tire but instead of sending us cold food they should have remade our food and sent it out with a new driver. We called to complain and talked to Joe. Joe said he agreed with us. Joe said he would make this right and call us back, my husband's cell, the next day. Joe never did call us and never did anything to make this right. read more

This place definitely deserves 5 stars!! From the moment I walked into the Jukebox Diner at the Manassas,Va location, until the moment I left, I had a great experience. Where do I begin......The service was spectacular. The waitresses and workers greeted us with big smiles and were very prompt. Not to mention the manager here was splendid! He was very friendly and made sure that we enjoyed our visit. This was my first time at the Juke Box and I was very impressed by there wide variety of items on the menu. It was literally something for everyone. I wasn't sure what to choose, so I asked the manager his suggestion. He suggested I try the"Chicken Souvlaki" which was fresh boneless chicken marinated and grilled,served on sliced pita bread. It was TASSTYYYY! I was very happy with his suggestion! I can go on and on about this place and speak about the fact that the food was great, service was superb, music playing in the background was just right, and the ambience there gave you a very warm welcoming feeling. Okay so if I lived in Manassas I would actually never leave this place. So, I came here for a get together with my friend and some of his friends for a board game night, and it was amazing. When you walk in, it's every board game you could ever imagine (and then some) all in one place. It's pretty much nerd heaven, in the best way. The servers are super attentive and they have a bar upstairs and it seems like they have a really decent cocktail menu. I didn't have any food or drinks, but my table ordered a tower (yes, a TOWER) of eggrolls and it seems like they have different flavors like buffalo chicken. Everyone seemed to think the food was great, so I can't wait to go back and try the food for myself. Also, they have all the Dungeons and Dragons handbooks and lots of table space so it would actually make the perfect space for have your DnD sessions if you're part of a campaign or something. Or just bring a few friends to hang out and play your favorite board games. You really can't go wrong here. I'll make sure to do an update for when I come back and try the food, but I'm sure it'll be fabulous. read more

Saw this place as we were picking up the car at Battlefield Ford and said to hubby Brad - that is a diner! We need to check this out!! In my experience diners are notoriously awesome for comfort and very yummy food. Went today for breakfast. I got the scramble with tomatoes and cheese and Brad got the stacked poached with hash browns. The food came out within 10 min and was amazing! We have gone to Eggspectation, IHOP and other diners. This place Blew them away! So much better. Don't waste your time. This is the place you must go to and is the best diner we have gone to. I have not had a breakfast that reminded me of being a ravenous little kid that I could not put the fork down until today. Finished the plate. This. place. is. awesome. When we went, it was pretty quiet, but the staff made up for that! We felt more at home in a restaurant than we have in a long time. We got breakfast for dinner - a sugary concoction of waffle combo, french toast, chocolate chip pancakes, and one lone shroomburger. All of the food was top notch, and the burger was actually cooked medium rare! Our server, Nikki, was definitely the best we've ever had. She was polite and checked up on us regularly, refilled our coffees in "stealth mode" as she called it, and had a bizarre but completely hilarious knowledge of obscure medical cases and injuries sustained while playing World of Warcraft. I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere definitely brings me back, I came in to eat with my family.. Everything was good all around. My server was very pleasant and always had a smile on her face! Which is always a plus!! I got the works omelette and my husband got the #1 special, New Orleans skillet, which was AWESOME! (I snuck a couple bites) Prices are very cheap here for the amount of food you get, our food always comes out quick and I've never had to send anything back... I feel bad for the servers there because I have witnessed a couple of extremely rude customers take their bad day out on those darling girls, but I am definitely on the Jukebox side with service and food quality! So I call in an order for delivery and the guy tells me they closed early because of the "cold" I CANT MAKE THIS UP!! Lol, really ? Imagine if this "business" was up north, like Chicago or Wisconsin, what then? Close every night of winter ? What a joke , I thought this was a chain of Juke Box , not a mom and pop shop that closes for lunch and any sign of "cold" huge inconvenience and maybe they should post hours on the website "may change if it's rainy , or cold, or heck even sunny" PS: I worked a 13 hour shift outside in this "cold" and all because you guys can't hire reliable employees who want to go cuddle up at home like some lazy non working individuals .. just to be told this... I was a twice a week diner at the Sterling Jukebox Diner. Then they (owners) decided to close down that location. I live in Herndon but still travel at least once a month to the Manassas and Annandale locations. I miss the good food but mostly the service and personalities of all the staff. Bonnie and Gayle are fantastic, they even remember my order every time. Shawn and Eric are also great. I do miss Muna who apparently went elsewhere when the Sterling location closed. They are all so different yet great. I'd rate the Jukebox Diner a "5" but without a location in the Herndon/Reston/Sterling area it's just hard to visit more than once a month. I'm not sure what can be done but opening another Jukebox Diner in the my neighborhood would be great. JMH read more

My wife suggested this place so the two of us and our daughter decided to try it out. We got there later in the evening in the middle of the week. It wasn't too busy but the staff was friendly. In fact, the staff was very entertaining and enthusiastic to help serve us. Eric was our waiter and he was training a younger girl, Allison. She handled most of our order and service. Eric was the comedy relief. But the food was very good. I had the fish and chips with a side salad. My wife had the gyro salad. The meat was extremely tender and very tasty. My daughter had fedichinni al Frado (sp) with potato soup, which she enjoyed. I would recommend this to anyone that would like a good tasty meal with a great staff taking care of you. The coffee is fresh and delicious. Fresh squeezed orange juice. The home fries have a grilled onions and pepper option. The butter is actually buttery and it's whipped so it's smooth and easy to spread.. The music is time travel and they have the 50's diner decor to match. I am in love with the whole vibe of this place. I'm going to write a review. My waiter, David, is upbeat but in a natural and personable way, not that annoying forced in your face kind of way. His appearance is neat and tidy and clean cut which makes me confident in what's going on in the kitchen! This place is a big hit as far as I'm concerned. I've been looking for this vibe! We are from Arkansas visiting our brother & stopped in to the Mannassas Juke Box Diner for a late Lunch. What a delight to find such a friendly and helpful server like Rick, you need to "clone" him as it's hard to find service minded employees these days --you are lucky to have him.. We also loved all the 50's decorations, made us feel we were back in our teens again. On a scale of 1 to 10 we give our hamburgers & French Fries a 15!!! This would be a great place to have a 50th birthday party and especially a 50's party for those of us who were teens in the 50's. I'm sure the staff will make it a memorable experience!! When my wife and I lived in Annandale we frequently visited the Annandale Juke Box. So when we moved to the Gainesville, VA area two years ago, we decided to try the Juke Box in Manassas. Very happy we did. It is a family owned and operated business and involved in many of the area's community activities. The owner is frequently on the premises. Without exception all of the staff, especially Shawn and Eric, provide excellent service and treat their customers like family. We usually order a late breakfast or lunch - the food is delicious and the menu is reasonably priced. Highly recommended. read more

Okay,I wrote a review a couple of weeks ago,and it appeared for a couple of days,and then just went away?...I hope thats not the norm..Anyhow,I will say again that six of us went there after our Friday night bowling,and had a great dinner,with very good service,and to top it off,we all had banana splits that were delicious...It is strange that there is very little business in there,because the place seems very clean,with good food,and good service...Oh,the only bad thing was that the "claw machine" was broke,and I couldn't try for one of the stuffed toys..Maybe next time.. read more

This place is awesome!! I really enjoyed having lunch here with my pals whenever we have the time. It provides a charming cozy atmosphere which was great for catching up. The food was delicious! Though I never really tried everything on their menu the things that I have like the fried and sandwiched i would really recommend. My husband and l love coming here! The staff always make us feel welcomed, food has always been excellent! We just love the 50's atmosphere and the rock and roll tunes of Elvis and other beloved music icons really liven up our experience. I frequent Juke Box due to the atmosphere, service and food. Almost every time I go I am served by Bonnie. She is amazing! Always remembers my favs, is extremely friendly, and prompt with service. The cook on Wednesday mornings is also excellent. Makes a perfect Cheesesteak for me everytime! And yes, dinner food at 0730. LOL. As it was loaded with caramelized onions and melted cheese and it was cooked to perfection. Entree course she had the Crispy Chicken salad, the crisp Iceberg and romaine lettuce was topped with a blend of shredded Cheddar/Jack cheese, diced tomatoes, and onions. The crown jewel of the salad was the House breaded chicken tenders; they were delicious and made your mouth water. Choice of dressing was house made Ranch. I ordered the Black & Bleu Salad topped with a Cajun grilled NY strip steak medium rare with a base of mixed romaine and iceberg, diced cucumber, tomatoes, and crumbled Bleu cheese. Balsamic dressing was a perfect complement. Wow this place is a real gem.

Then when I pointed it out, rather than apologizing she was rude and dismissive. Oh, we are just trying to speed up the process. Really? It's important to speed up a process where the next step is me waiting for 45 minutes for a table? Makes no sense to me. If we come back I'll update the review, but based on how we were treated we won't be back anytime soon.

Hallway through, looking down at the bottom of the glass, I saw two tiny flies floating at the bottom. As disgusted as one can reasonably be, I asked for another one to be made (why I bothered, I can't say. Maybe it was because I had already drank half). I found another small fly in the second before the server left the table. Another fly in the third as well. We didn't finish our meals for obvious reasons. They brought us the check, discounted the manhattans and 50% the check, though I didn't feel I should have paid anything. After paying the check, they said it was a mistake. They brought us the wrong one and would void the sale. The "correct" check they brought us was the full meal sans the 3 botched manhattans. We won't be going back
