Beautiful beautiful Bar
Cheryl R.

I have been here a few times, two things you can count on. Food that is really good and service that is not well trained. For a restaurant that wants to charge you almost 70 bucks for lunch , you expect stellar service. That being said ....they're always pleasant ...but just not trained. There were only two diners in the whole restaurant and two servers and my server was MIA. So I had to keep asking the other server for help, especially when it came to my raw chicken. I asked for a straw for my Diet Coke and I got a short straw for a cocktail so I went over to the bar and picked up a long paper straw . Pay attention to details my man ,also when our food was dropped, our appetizer plates were never cleared off the table so we had all those dirty dishes sitting on our table the entire meal and then We had to ask for refills . I would like to say this is the first time that this has happened but it's not.. it's happened every time I've been to the restaurant and it's always with different servers. If you're gonna charge me five star prices I want the same in service. Speaking of five $$$ . What's the deal with nickel and dime charge of a restaurant fee? Are you serious? How tacky ! Nobody is going to be walking around with a bundle of cash to pay for their lunch. Hey Julep , it makes your customers feel like you're trying to squeeze out every last nickel of them. I ordered the fried chicken, which was amazing until I cut it open and it was raw inside. Check those temperatures folks. We had the devil's eggs which were fabulous and I heard the chicken salad was really nice. They definitely have their game on for their french fries they are fabulous. I absolutely love coming out here and believe me it is an hour and a half drive for me to do so .The place is beautiful, cute and quaint. The gift shop has so many delightful things. The restaurant food is fabulous , but the service.... In the restaurant, in the little store, always feels a bit off and unwelcoming. They're nice people, but they always seem to be busy with other things more than helping their customer. When we went into the dining restaurant, we stood there about five minutes and no one even acknowledged us, even though they saw us standing there so finally we just went and sat down ourselves, and even with that it was another five minutes before they came to the table .only two people in the restaurant folks . I love this place and I wanna love it more. I feel like the staff needs to show the love a little bit more.

Wedding Reception

A Dream Wedding Reception at Julep Farms Julep Farms made our wedding reception absolutely magical from start to finish. From the moment we began planning, the staff showed such warmth, professionalism, and a genuine passion for making our celebration uniquely ours. As a same-sex couple, we felt fully embraced, respected, and celebrated -- not just accommodated. Their inclusivity and attention to detail meant the world to us. The grounds were breathtaking -- lush, elegant, and timeless, with every corner offering a perfect photo opportunity. The reception space was flawlessly styled, balancing rustic charm with refined beauty. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food (delicious!), the cocktails (craft perfection!), and the welcoming atmosphere. Julep Farms didn't just meet our expectations -- they exceeded them in every way. If you're looking for a venue that is not only stunning but also embraces love in all its forms, this is it. We are beyond grateful to the entire team for helping us create a celebration we'll treasure for a lifetime. Photo by AllisonWhitePhoto.com

We came here for a date night. It did not disappoint! Very cool farm, restaurant and small shop. The service was great, we had some really good cocktails. The food was the star! My wife got the big dinner salad, I got the filet with a crab cake. The steak was super tender and flavorful. Sides were great! Mashed potatoes with asparagus. The Brie appetizer was to die for! For dessert we got the key lime crème brûlée! Wow! A great experience and restaurant for a special night!

I love my yearly visits to Julep Farms. Julep Farms is such a great place to pick up some coffee, baked goods, gifts, etc. The restaurant is always a MUST. We had 8 in our party and were seated within 49 mins without a reservation. While waiting we decided to have cocktails and everyone in our party had really tasty cocktails, that were not only delish but beautifully garnished. Lexi our server was great at explaining what was available for our vegan guest and she was patient with our youngest guest who couldn't decide on her dish. The chef prepared a delicious vegan meal based off the flavor profiles of one of the menu options our vegan guest selected. It was a treat when the chef came out to see if he liked the dish. Two thumbs up!!! I highly recommend a visit to Julep Farms and if you can, request Lexi.

I highly recommend Julep Farms! It's such a gem! Consistently yummy food, fabulous cocktails, beautiful views of the mountains, and such a chic- environment! An extra bonus is their hip boutique with wonderful gifts! It would be a beautiful place for showers, wedding parties, or even a wedding! If you love art, they have beautiful art for sale! An all around incredible experience!

Lunch menu

What a lovely spot to stop for lunch! There was a brief wait for our table, but we enjoyed looking within the shop while we waited...so many cute things. We were seated outside on the porch, the view was great and our server was friendly. We ordered the bread with butter and oil and the olives to start + a bottle of Chardonnay...All were delicious! For lunch, us ladies ordered the peach burrata salad with chicken and the guys had the shrimp and grits and the chicken salad on a croissant. The salad was amazingly good and a large portion, the guys also enjoyed their meals, all plates left the table clean. The grounds are stunning and worth a walk around either before or after you eat.

Poor service, poor food quality. Not impressed at all…read more Ambience is nice, very spacious, newly built, restaurant. Friendly staff. Not very attentive at all. Say for 15 minutes before the manager had to obtain a server for our table. After the food was delivered, the server did not provide adequate service. I requested a water refill, which took an additional 15 minutes, because she continually forgot. Food quality wasn't the greatest. They served chicken, which consisted of 2 thighs and 2 drumsticks. Along with friend catfish filets, that had been way over salted. Both were very soggy. I ate half the thigh and quit. Veggies? Only vegetables were Lima beans, everything else considered vegetables, was a casserole. A table full of starches. Over rated and over priced. Sadly disappointed. If you want good southern food, go further south to Thomasville, GA. Go to O'Neals. You can fool some folks, but not someone that knows southern cooking. We won't return.

The new Temu version sucks. So incredibly devastated and disappointed!! You should probably change…read morethe name along with all the other changes because this is NOT the Dillard House. As a local, I have gone to the Dillard House my whole life and it has always been one of my most treasured spots but sadly it will never be the same again. I visited for the first time since bought out by some Atlanta conglomerate called Legacy Ventures and boy did they just take the character and soul completely out of this place to make a buck. All of my childhood memories and the charm of the south, replaced with some generic millennial grey design bullshit and shitty recipes. Was the old place fancy and swanky? Absolutely not, but here in the country we like our charm like grandma's tried and true biscuit recipe: Not pretty but dang does it taste good. Thank God they kept the family style menu, but boy was the food NOTHING to write home about. I can't say that anything tasted as good as it used to. It was all cold and overcooked and certainly not prepared by someone from the south that knows what they're doing. The cured salty country ham that made your mouth water...bland and uncured. Missing some of the best staples the menu offered. Completely ripped out the country store and gift shop. I didn't want to believe the other locals when they told me what had happened, but now that I've experienced it, I'm not sure I can continue to support this place. They have replaced the kids from Rabun Gap that always worked there with people who are clearly not familiar with the place nor how to show Southern hospitality. I always admired the fact that they gave jobs to kids to learn how to serve the community and make a little money. Every kid should have that experience for character growth. I thought for sure I'd be able to bring my children here one day to experience the same nostalgia that is seared into my mind and heart, but sadly that will never happen now. Can we PLEASE stop selling out our cherished local spots to people who clearly don't know anything about the area or care to honor it? Let's keep the country the country and you city folk can do whatever you want there. It's also very clear that nothing is being done to improve these conditions with the onslaught of negative reviews from lifelong customers online. You may fool new customers that don't know what they're missing, but the lack of traffic on a Sunday proves the point that you aren't making changes to "honor the past experience and care about the feedback." Word of mouth travels fast.

The establish was not busy. The tables were sticky and had visible signs of glass rings. For not being busy, it took a considerable amount of time for the food to come out. While my food was very good, the wife had fries that were cold. We were served food without any utensils or napkins. It took 8 minutes for utensils to arrive and one napkin each. We asked for more napkins, which never came. My wife mentioned the cold fries and she was brought another serving of equally cold fries. When we were finished, I asked the server for a couple to go boxes. We received one and had to ask for more; eventually getting one more box. It took an additional 10 minutes to get the check, and another 10 to have it retrieved with the credit card. The neighboring table was also dealing with cold fries.

We had been to the previous establishment ( Rabun Manor ) and liked it but knew they were going to be under new ownership soon. I called and surprisingly there were tables available. I should have known better.......... It is a beautiful setting and the outside decorations were nicely done ( Halloween ) . We were greeted at the door and seated in a quaint sunroom type of dining room. The troubles from there forward were just not acceptable. The wait staff that we had were uniformed, slow, non attentive and down right lousy. Had to ask for my wife's Prosecco twice and its not like you have to mix up a drink, you pour this straight out of the bottle. Started with one of my wife's favorites, fried green tomatoes......which I never had. They were actually red tomatoes, soggy topped with a sundried tomato aioli, which seemed out of place. Sent that app back with condolences from the chef who actually said that his green tomatoes had turned red. There is a huge tomato farm just a short walk from the resort. Take a walk Luigi !!!!! We looked at each other and said lets try 2 more apps and call it a night. We ordered the flatbread with sun dried tomatoes........soggy, tasteless and the tomatoes were hard to bite thru. Also ordered the steakhouse chili which came to the table looking quite sad. It was " chili " on top of tortilla chips. Again very soggy, full of mostly tomatoes and we found 6 pieces of steak in this mess. Being that my wife is one of the best cooks I have ever known, I do have high expectations but this was an utter shame and a sham of a restaurant. Save yourself the trouble, money and embarrassment of this place and try another place or just stay home, it's safer.
