    Caesar is good
    Sarah T.

Service: our server super friendly. Noticed when my water is empty. Asked the right questions about our service dog. I do NOT understand why so many others are finding poor service. I watched our waiter and the folks who appeared to be owners/ managers and they were all very hospitable to all the tables. Gluten free heaven: everything in the menu can be made GF-- pasta, French toast, Benedict's and more Gf garlic bread-- something weird added to the garlic and butter we didn't like. They offered to take off our bill. Super friendly service Bathroom grade A: gender neutral, ADA accessible clean and pleasant Caesar : really good made with raw egg as per the original. Yum. Whaler sando: pretty good. Lightly battered. Chicken parmigiana dinner : good sauce and lightly fried Florentine pasta gf : Good. Chicken pieces should be the same size as pasta though. Spinach good amount Desserts: flourless chic cake and maple crème brûlée. The latter was not so maple-y, but it was very good. Cake rich and chocolatey Ambiance: neighborhood family restaurant. Large patio Dog friendly and dog menu ! Came back for breakfast. Here the update Yes gf friendly but there is one type of gf bread -- a thin toast. Meat options w breakfast are bacon, pork sausage, or beef ( steak or hash) Wish there was a chicken sausage option. Maple latte and apple cider are good. Plain coffee only ok ( we like very strong coffee) Hash is good. It is the smooth kind with no veggies. I am a hash fan and while I prefer mine crispy and: or chunky, this is a good version. Sunny side up eggs were a little undercooked. Hash omelet was good and we added spinach. Side of fruit was generous and fresh

This place is such a great spot for gluten free folks. We've been several times and have always been so pleased with the options. It's awesome to have a restaurant that offers GF items that actually taste good. They even have multiple GF desserts. We love it here.

Everything was just middle of the road. Food was plentiful but ordinary, and service was sufficient.

Mediocre food, OK service... ambiance less than ideal. Wanted to like this place more but really underwhelming.

While researching breakfast spots in Essex Junction for our weekend getaway, we came across…read moreUncommon Coffee and were encouraged by the strong reviews. When we arrived, the parking lot was busy, which felt like a great sign. It was a Saturday morning, so there was a short wait to order and to grab a table, but the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The interior is eclectically decorated and has a cozy, fun vibe that reminded us of the coffee shop in the Friends TV show. We ordered a brewed coffee and an iced coffee--both were excellent--and really appreciated the option of Vermont maple syrup and oat milk. For food, we ordered a regular breakfast sandwich and the Forager vegan breakfast sandwich. We were especially impressed to see a vegan breakfast option on the menu, as many places don't cater to vegans at all, particularly for breakfast. Both sandwiches were delicious, and it was great to feel so thoughtfully accommodated. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily recommend Uncommon Coffee to friends. We just wish it were closer to home so we could visit more often!

There's an entire wall covered in books if you're in need of something to read. Great sandwiches, the Vermonter is great (although I did wish it came with tomatoes). The lemonade is house made and made from actual lemons. Service is kind and fast. Great breakfast spot!

Specs is tiny and honestly a bit anxiety-inducing as there's not a lot of room to stand around and wait for your order. The space is eclectic and mismatched, and kind of feels like your grandma's kitchen, in a cute and cozy way. I loved the little attached shop where you can buy coffee, beer, wine, spices, drink mixers, art, etc. I got the silk sheets and Nate got the razzle dazzle - both really delicious lattes, and I love anything black sesame so I knew I'd like the silk sheets. Their menu is large and you can customize your drinks in tons of ways, including with CBD, sprinkles, syrups, milks, etc. The options seem kind of endless. Not a super great place to hang out and work, but I'm glad we were able to stop in!
