Our breakfast was delicious but pricey. Thank goodness for complimentary breakfast cards. Make sure and ask the front desk for one. I had the skillet hash and is was delicious. The atmosphere is nice and has a cozy fireplace that you can sit by while you eat. The very small glass of orange juice is $8.00 so look for your drink prices. Service was excellent.

We arrived very late to the hotel property and thankfully this restaurant was still open. We started off with some fabulous bourbon on the rocks and an Old Fashion. The waitress brought us a complimentary soup in a short glass. It was to die for!! A creamed zucchini soup that was full of flavor and perfection on your tongue! We then had a Cesar salad and the beet salad. They were both lovely, fresh and crisp. We decided on the tacos which were legit and made correctly per traditional recipes and the salmon. All the dishes were beautifully presented and we were thrilled to have such a delicious dinner after such a long commute to the hotel property. The next morning we had breakfast to start our day which was colorful and filling. The decor is bright, cheerful, clean and crisp with a fireplace that provides a perfect warming glow.

I don't understand the negative reviews, maybe they are old? I had a 5 day stay at La Posada (the hotel where Julia's is located) and I ate at least one meal a day at Julia's, truly enjoying each and every one of them. The filet mignon with truffle mashed was delish, cooked perfect (loved it so much I got it two nights in a row). The cucumber jalapeño marg was my fav drink. The grain bowl for breakfast was a great healthy start to my day. The vibes in the front bar are so fun, historic and great art on the walls. Every server I had was attentive and friendly, giving me great recommendations for where to explore. I'm picky, and I thought this place was great!

Based on the reviews I was hesitant to eat here. I was totally surprised by how fantastic the staff are here. The food was exceptional as to be expected at a Marriott. I had the classic breakfast but I subbed out the hash browns for pancakes. They where able to do the small child pancake with blueberries or chocolate chips. We arrived early so it was not too busy. The staff here are kind of limited in the amount of people working. Even relatively understaffed they work very hard to take care of all the people dining here. I am sure it can take longer when it is busy but it is not any fault of the staff.

This dinner exceeded expectations for a hotel property. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sauces were compelling. Service is prompt and fun. Expected to come in for convenience and left with one of the best meals of our trip.

Lovely outdoor patio on a beautiful evening. A little pricey but good food. I had the New York Strip Steak cooked medium very good but should have asked for medium rare and told them to hold the sauce. The apricot margarita was excellent. Not too sweet with just a hint of apricot. I loved the birch tees next to the patio (my favorite tree) and they even had wisteria blooming.

Julia has gotten had reviews here, but my experiences have always been pleasant. The staff is always friendly. It never seems to be busy. Food is delivered quickly. I haven't always felt that the food is the best that you can have in Santa Fe, but it's a foodie town, so that is a challenge for most places. This afternoon, we had a late lunch on the patio. I had Christmas tamales and a fish taco. The fish taco came with a spicy chipotle sauce. The tamales, as the name suggests, came New Mexico Christmas style. The pork was in a red chili sauce, and there were both red and green on the side. The food was delicious and the spice crept up on me. My wife enjoyed her southwest salad. She said it was so good she could have had another for dessert, but we went with the chocolate bourbon bread pudding, instead.

Not because of the atmosphere. Not because of the location. Because of Katya. Katya is not my favorite bartender. She is my favorite human being. I've spent enough time in bars to know when someone is good at their job. Katya operates on an entirely different level. She can take what feels like sixteen orders at once, remember every single one, deliver them with absolute precision, keep the entire room moving, somehow do the math in her head, and still make every customer feel like they're the only person sitting at the bar. The basement bar itself is exactly what a great dive should be; a shithole. Heavy hobo stab vibes upon entry, including Katya. Smell: multiple buttholes farting at once. Climate control: sweaty patron dependent. Lighting: liability. TV: playing a rotation of trash 80s DVDs . If business schools were smart, they'd study her. If hospitality groups were smart, they'd clone her. If Santa Fe has any sense at all, they'll do whatever it takes to keep her exactly where she is. Cash only, so come prepared. And bring plenty of it, because she deserves every penny. Katya must be protected at all costs.

When I arrived, I originally wanted to visit the restaurant, which was closed for the week due to a family emergency. So I presented to the open seating bar. Was ignored a long time. Got up to go to the bar and someone else stole my table. Took a long time to be acknowledged by the bar tender and finally made an order. Took quite a while to get it. Things got better when a bar seat opened up and I moved to the bar. But keep in mind, a different bar tender pretty much took over and kept my drinks flowing. That first bar tender could not hang, demonstrating poor time management skills and appeared to be moving slowly. The second bar tender, I think his name is Hector, really turned things around for me. I visited Secreto (another hotel based outfit, in the Hotel St. Francis) because they are supposed to be a "cocktail experience," boasting "garden to glass" cocktails. Dark wood and southwestern palate for decor. I had: Smoked sage margarita: flagship drink, smoked washed premium margarita (super herbal) Ghost ranch reverie: Tequila with peach, apricot shrub, lemon, seltzer, smoked rosemary (light, not too sweet, an "homage to the passionate artists of the southwest) Madonna of the Mesa: tequila blanco, pomegranate, mouth herbs, lemon, rose water (soft and balanced) Secret garden: basil infused gin gimlet with lime and chomilre infused honey. "Botanical crispiness meets honeyed serenity." I liked the basil, but the honey wasn't my thing. But a good cocktail. Again, drinks were good. On a Thursday afternoon, it was initially crowded and the initial service was terrible. But Hector saved the day.

We had been few years back for our anniversary and ever since then we had wanted to go back. The waiter did his best to gather extra chairs and we were able to all fit at the round table. We got a bottle of red wine started and some margaritas along with a manhattan. Then afterwards couple of fish tacos and some carne asada arrived. We had great drinks and tasty food.
