Amazing experience! I stopped by with my spouse & 2 toddlers. To much on I had the tortilla chips with dips.. and they were great. The hot chocolate was delish & my husband enjoyed his cocktail. The bar itself is lovely. The mood is warm and comforting, high scale. Service was friendly and great. I went today at 4pm. For any other mamas to young ones- this is a great find. There are a few cubby areas for more private seating, away from the bar. The bathroom had the nicest changing table area I've ever seen. A beautiful setting for a delightful meal, SkyFire is a sumptuous experience. We went with several friends for lunch and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is several flights above the parking lot, but there are carts to shuttle guests up the way if you don't care to climb the stairs. SkyFire is tucked within a main building at Bishops Lodge, in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Santa Fe. To me, it rates relatively mid-range within the Auberge brand. The setting is lovely but doesn't capitalize fully on the mountain views, instead having a terrace angled solely at the lower, western horizon -- it's pretty, but bring your sunglasses and a jacket for high wind exposure. The greeting we received at the host stand was a bit off-putting. Uncertain how long the drive from Santa Fe's historic plaza to Bishops Lodge might take and how the weather might shape up, we headed over early and walked around the beautiful grounds awhile. When we made our way to SkyFire, we were told rather brusquely that we were 25 minutes early and could take a seat in the bar, even though it was an uncrowded weeknight and they were seemingly not at all understaffed. No one came to find us even at our reservation time, so we made our way back to the stand and were taken to our terrace table. The menu was not particularly novel, but the dishes were enjoyable, and our server was quite friendly (and kindly pointed out that 20% gratuity is added across the board at the lodge). In general, it was a "good but not great" experience that felt expensive but underwhelming. read more

The only reason they returned is because I found the hostess and asked her if we had a server. Very unacceptable. I had the bison chili realleno. It was served cold. We had an exceptional dinner experience celebrating our honeymoon at Bishop Lodge and saved our most expensive dinner for last at SkyFire! Yes, it's pricey. But our meal and the service was phenomenal. The design/decor at Bishop Lodge has stunning views of the hilly mountains, especially at night when the property is lit up and the fire pits are warming you up on the cool summer/fall nights. We kicked off our meal with complimentary champagne (we appreciated the hospitality of the hotel to celebrate with us!). The himachi and apricot crudo was diiiiviiiine! The jalapeños added a flavorful punch. I got a sizeable portion of wagyu for my main entree, the sweet potato and apricot puree swimming in an adobo glace was eat-the-whole-plate level of good. The dessert, however, "Bishop's Apple", new to the menu, takes apples center stage. The almond crumble, tartness of the apples, and vanilla ice cream made this dish my absolute favorite of the night. SkyFire is very much for special occasions (unless you're, ya know, swimming in cash). We enjoyed their happy hour (50% off select drinks and appetizers) and this is a much more affordable option if you're interested in enjoying the premises! read more

Located inside of bishops lodge. It is one of the best restaurants in Santa Fe. Their menu doenst change much but they have some killer dishes. The place is very elegant with western element decor but don't feel too much. Tables are spaced out and some outdoor seatings available. Our waitress Melly is very friendly and attentive. The manager even stopped by to every table to say hi. The green risotto is my favorite with a very nice flavor, it's a bit heavy so recommend to share. The hamachi ceviche doesn't taste fresh but I guess they are not close to water they only can do much about fresh seafood, I recommend to skip this dish. elk short ribs is amazing but the mole doesn't really brought out the flavor, wish they use different sauce instead. The icecream is not great, taste artificial flavor. Drinks are amazing tho my martini taste great. Overall is one of the best meal in Santa Fe. Fantastic dining experience tonight for our group of 11 at Skyfire. Beautiful venue, delicious meals, quality food for fair prices. But what really stood out was the customer service. The chef came out and told us about the menu. Our incredible server, Mellie(Melissa), was so fun and friendly and kept our meal flowing smoothly. Bishop's Lodge is obvi a very fancy venue and we stopped for lunch on our way into town. The ambience is gorgeous. However, the food was super sub-par as was the service. My $20 "garden salad" was wilted and brown and when I pointed it out to our server, she clearly didn't care. I really can't stand it when restaurants include a 20% service charge which Skyfire does for all party sizes. We were a party of three! We also got nachos which were not tasty and greasy chicken wings. I can't recommend Skyfire for food or service. read more

The service was very good. The restaurant is very Spanish colonial and nicely done - we needed the fire as the evening was cold outside. The wine list was interesting but quite limited. My wife and I shared the shrimp empanadas as a starter and they were great as was the chimichurri. My wife's chicken was very dry and quite uninteresting, and my sea bass was a beautiful piece of fish very nicely cooked. Had the most incredible dinner here with clients. I know there were issues in the early days and feedback has been hit or miss, but our servers and food were absolutely excellent. The ambiance is fantastic. I will say service can be slow when sitting on the terrace - took a while for drinks and to get the heat on, but once seated inside there were no problems. Our table - very nice but be aware that waiters cubby is behind it so they are always in an out. If this will really annoy you get a different table. We suggested they move it forward a bit to make less annoying. Important to note they have a compulsory 20% service charge on the total order. Anything else you give goes directly to your server. Food wise, everything was beyond delicious. Major shout out to the creator of the Green Chile Risotto. What a treat that was! The tostillos were great too - loved the spicy queso which isn't typical New Mexican cuisine. Outstanding overall. We had no room left for dessert which was a shame. read more

I'm shocked that there are only 9 reviews about this restaurant. I had such a lovely experience and the food we ordered were delicious. The service was great and the ambiance was homey. Aguachile Hamachi: Refreshing and light. It was a perfect start to the meal. I wish it was a tad more spicy. Will order again! Green Risotto: It was such a pretty presentation. It was creamy and filling. I don't recall the green chilies being a strong flavor but the color was pretty. The mushrooms helped with texture. And I loved that there was a lot of ground back pepper on top! Inverted Carrot Cake:There was a lot of components and I'm not sure what everything was. I do know there was vanilla ice cream, carrot cake, walnuts and a carrot puree. The cake was moist the ice cream was delicious. It was definitely carrot forward. Our server was engaged but not hovering. He did forget my appetizer but there was 15 of us so it's understandable. He kept the drinks going and the vibe made the dinner amazing! We had an early breakfast during our staycation at Bishops Lodge and ordered the oatmeal, smoked salmon Benedict, and one of the omelettes. The oatmeal was delicious. I loved it a lot and enjoyed watching my one year old son indulge in a sweet breakfast as well. My wife had the smoked salmon Benedict and I thought that was the real star of all our dishes. Eggs poached perfectly, hollandaise wasn't too rich and just enough to not make everything go dry. I wished I had ordered that for myself too. My omelette wasn't anything special. It was dry, lacked flavor, and felt like it was an afterthought in the kitchen. I already know what to order the next time we come back! read more

We love coming here! The staff is great and the view, especially at sunset, is AMAZING! At night, in cooler weather, there are fire pits you can self-start & enjoy. Had brunch for the first time today. We had both dinner and brunch. Both were fair but the service was okay (far from great) and the food was good but not great. The drinks were very inconsistent in flavor and quality. We paid for cocktails and there was no liquor in any of the drinks. We were very disappointed because it was a birthday celebration. The brunch service was so slow and there were only 3 occupied tables. The huevo rancheros was ok and needless to say will not be a repeat for us. The eggs were not even cooked correctly which is a big no no and should be the easiest thing to do. Dinner seemed to be a problem for the kitchen to get out. We had reservations for 7:30 and sat in the bar for 30 minutes before we were seated. There were only 4 occupied tables. Neither experience will likely bring us back. We are disappointed. I hope this establishment makes it because it is a beautiful property. However it was beautiful way before Auberge purchased it so good luck to them. read more

My family and I came into Skyfire for the Sunday Jazz Brunch recently and we had the most wonderful time! The food was very tasty, the music created a nice ambiance and the service was terrific. I have been to many brunches in Santa Fe and this is certainly at the top, if not the best. You must go visit Skyfire and treat yourself! But it was good. The service, however, was terrible. After receiving our coffee, we waited more than half an hour before asking someone if WWE could place an order. Another 10 minutes until a server appeared. (And another half hour for the food The server could have cared less. No hello. No apologizing for having us ignored. Just, "What can I get you?" This is a very expensive hotel and I expect more. Much more. Of course, the hotel already added 20% service charge. Why can't I decide how much to leave? 1. The server didn't deserve 20%. 2. The drive, grounds, staff, music, wait person were all great when we went for a Sunday Brunch to Bishop's Lodge SkyFire restaurant. The ambiance and views were just awesome. But... the food was atrocious. Two dried chicken enchiladas over pinto beans with barely any red or green sauce was just plain uninviting. Had to ask for more green chili sauce to moisten the plate. A creamer size miniature pitcher of tortilla soup was poured over a bowl of tortilla strips. Sorry but that was not a tasty tortilla soup. No complaints about the small portions nor the cost, just the food quality. Management should eat the food to see and evaluate what customers are eating. Thanks for listening. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in around 2pm on a Thursday when driving through the area. The website wasn't very informative on hours, location, etc., but we decided to check it out anyway. I'm so glad we did. I had the chicken enchiladas and a beer. He had the winter spaghettini. Both were so so delicious. The portions were just right to satisfy, though not huge. The space inside is gorgeous and the view is too. We were there when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant, which made it feel even more special. This restaurant is at a new hotel. The architecture and grounds of the property are beautiful! My favorite part about this restaurant was the design and decor. Wow!! Flawlessly decorated for Santa Fe style and elegance. Food was good, but not stand out. Note: we were there for lunch. Service wasn't great.
