Don't miss this pit stop in Julian. I didn't notice it until driving to Lake Cuyamaca. Cars theme property caught my attention at the Julian Trading Post. I felt like we were in a Cars movie with Matador. This spot offers an amazing coffee selection. I ended up getting an iced caramel macchiato for about $5. Very reasonable prices for delicious coffee. Not too sweet, but perfect how I like it. They do offer a breakfast and lunch menu whose prices weren't bad either. The food does look good, but we were full from having lunch prior. If I knew sooner, I would have had lunch here. The decoration within the cafe is super cute filled with hot wheels all around and Cars theme with a little touch of other Disney characters. Great area for your kids to also enjoy. It's located next to a gift shop as well as selling clothes, honey, jerky, and more. Service is wonderful with friendly staff. They sure do make you feel at home. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Stopped in today to get lunch for me and my elderly parents . Staff was professional and polite they made you feel welcome. Ask what theories was. Witch was a Ruben sandwich Philly cheese steak and a Hot dog comb chips and drink. The pit stop is a amazing little spot to eat at. Clean professional and the staff go above and beyond. I highly recommend and will be back. 5 stars

Glad I made a pit stop over here during my stay in Julian. Exactly what I needed for my morning coffee. I came on Valentine's Day so they were pretty backed up. This place is decked out with Hot Wheels over their walls and had an auto theme to the cafe. Connected to their right of the cafe was a tiny boutique and an outdoor patio to the left side. I ordered their Dark Chocolate Strawberry Latte with cold foam on top. The drink was so pretty and right on theme with the holiday. The taste of the Mocha was tasty too, a bit sweeter than a dark chocolate though, but for the size, and no additional cost for the cold foam, I thought it was well worth ordering. They offer some breakfast classics like bagels and breakfast burritos, which I did not want at the time, but if you were looking for a quick bite rather than a sit-down restaurant this is your spot!

WOW! Such a hidden gem. We stopped in and I tried the banana bread matcha, and it was absolutely delicious. The whole ambiance of the shop was so cute and quaint. Such a cute spot for families and wonderful service. Highly recommend checking them out!

The interior is cute and there are several games you can play while waiting. I played PAC-MAN and tic-tac-toe. There's plenty of seating inside and outside! I unfortunately did not try their bagels, but hopefully next time I can. As for the drinks, I personally felt that my matcha was too milky for my liking, but others could feel differently. I look forward to trying new items! Great service!

Spotted this place on the way into town and actually thought it might be shops, I was half right! Was not expecting a full-blown menu, I was in need of some coffee, they also had breakfast. There was seating inside, a play area for young ones, also a game board (checkers if I recall) that was being put to good use. Staff here was friendly and service was quick. We wanted to check this place out and grab another coffee on the way back to campsite, but they do close early, so keep that in mind. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

We ended up going during a really busy day. The outside is awesome as they have Tow Mater and a car that looks like the one from Jurassic Park. Apparently they are building a big shed/barn that will house many more cars/attractions. We ordered two coffees and they were really busy but that was to be expected, it was the day after Thanksgiving. We ended up waiting around 25 minutes for our Coffee, and when I got mine I got a cold one instead of a hot one. The staff were super kind and fixed the mistake.

A little stop just outside of the main street in town. There are some restaurants and shops to buy assorted items. 1 of the stores has a lot of musical instruments, guitars, etc. Fun collection of movie car memorabilia, see my photos for what I am talking about. Movies like National Lampoon's vacation, cars, jurassic park.

Exceptionally nice service. Food was delicious. I will definitely be back. Unlike Main Street in Julian there is ample parking here and it's just a few minutes down the 79 from Main Street. Prices are also better than Main St. restaurants. The ambiance was laid-back and casual, but charming with a record player playing Sinatra when I went in. Your kids will enjoy looking at all the decor and free Pacman! I will definitely be back.

Julian Pit Stop saved our stomachs after driving 13 hours through the night! Best bagel i've had in a while and my friend had an amazing breakfast burrito. The fam behind the counter was adorable and friendly which made us feel welcome immediately. The place inside was so cute and quirky! antique hot wheel aesthetic definitely serves the pit stop vibe well. Our salted maple lattes were the icing on the cake. 10/10 thanks yall!!

Made a stop on our way to camp and it was wonderful. The staff were so warm and attentive despite being so busy. We had the Reuben sandwich and it was DELICIOUS. We will absolutely stop by every time we are in town. The store is so cute with all the vintage signs and games.

    The best bagel I had.

Food and service was so good. Girls taking the orders where very nice, and place was so cute .

10/10 worth the drive from San Diego. The lady was so nice.

This has become a go-to spot post-hike in the area and always is the treat I look forward to. On my most recent visit I had the BLT which had avocado, an egg, and chipotle mayo on brioche - hit the spot. Each sandwich comes on a different type of bread, which adds to the flavor profiles for each. Sometimes places just put it all on wheat or sourdough, but I like how the bread is paired to add to the sandwich. There's seating inside and out and always plenty of parking, though I can imagine on the weekend, it's more competitive. Although the spot has been around for a while, I just recently got introduced to it on enthusiastic recommendations from others, so I pass that enthusiastic recommendations onto you.

Maggie misses the fresh baked fruit bars and were soft and full of sweet fruit flavor.  Cashier told us they are only baked on Saturday now.  We touched the fruit bars and they were all hard from sitting around half the week.  It's sad as we loved stopping here after a trip to Julian for fresh baked treats and Doc Brown's Root Beer.  Looks like we will have to buy all our baked treats at one of the Julian bakeries like Apple Alley that bakes their pies every morning.  https://www.hungryones.com/2021/10/apple-alley-bakery/ Staff was nice and efficient.

I haven't known the…read moreowners for very long, but after all the times I had the chance to enjoy their amazing pastries, sandwiches, and sourdough bread, I was more than impressed, and definitely well fed! Also complained when I drove 45 minutes uphill both ways to have nothing left to buy. LOL We also shared plenty of good laughs, especially when I told them I was allergic to water, salt, and oxygen. Somehow, they still managed to find something I could eat. I was lucky enough to buy their very last loaf of sourdough bread, and yes... it is now safely tucked away in my freezer. I'm trying to savor it one slice at a time and make it last as long as possible! It's sad to see such a special place close. I truly hope whomever takes over the business is able to carry on the wonderful tradition, quality, and warmth that made this place so memorable. Wishing the owners nothing but the best in whatever comes next. Thank you for the great food, the laughs, and the awesome memories.

We have been here 2 times, and will never be back…read more Beware of the Owner who will likely also be your server. Here is why: On our first visit, the prices for drinks were high to begin with, but when we asked for an iced latte upgraded to half and half (Breve), we were told it would be extra. Shame on us for not asking how much. A 24 ounce latte with regular milk was $6.95. The upgrade to Breve was an extra $4.00!!! For a grand total of $11.80 with a flavor shot!!! And the drink was of very average quality. More recently we got a scone that was EXTREMELY DRY. When it was brought back, the owner first said "You realize this is a scone, right? As a 30 year baker, that was insulting. Then she squeezed it and said she wanted us to try "the middle". Again, insulting. When I politely declined and said I'd like to get something else, she was very hesitant, and said she was afraid we would be unhappy with another selection, and preferred to give a refund. Insulting a third time. We think the owner might consider a more customer-centric approach, but that's just us.
