When it comes to chocolate I don't discriminate, which is hard to do if you are vegan. Since, I'm vegetarian I don't have a problem unless it's chocolate covered bacon, which doesn't appeal to me. I'll pass on the chocolate covered crickets too. My darling girls spent the day in Julian and came across this place. They were kind enough to bring me back a Vegan Cookies & Cream Chocolate Bar. We each had a square and were surprised with how tasty it was. The chocolate had a creamy smoothness and just enough cookie crumbs to give it a slightly crunchy texture. It doesn't melt as easily as regular chocolate but it was far better than Hersey's Cookies and Cream bar, which tastes like chemicals. If you're visiting Julian stop by and show this place some love. In addition to hand crafted chocolates they also have baked goods, sweet delights, gift items, & treats for your pup. All of which are made fresh daily by the owner. We go to Julian several times a year, and I'm ashamed to say that this most recent visit was our first time coming to this cute lil chocolate shop. Just about a block off Main Street, this little shop is a little hidden and can be easy to miss.. But my chocolate obsessed family loved this place. There was a display of truffles, fudge, a variety of chocolate bars, bags of chocolate, cold drinks, etc. their product is a perfect idea for a souvenir gift or sweet snack front Julian. We were told by the kind employee that the products are all made by the owner in their home kitchen.. everything was packaged so pretty and fresh. We picked up some chocolate covered almonds and some pistachio fudge. At this time, bags of chocolate were $4-5, cubes of fudge were $6, and the large specialty chocolate bars were $9. Pretty good prices considering their tourist location. A very short walk off Main Street and a must to check out! read more

Very tiny, cute, little specialty chocolate/candy shop in Julian. We stumbled upon this while roaming the streets of Julian last weekend. Not a huge selection, not a big store but what we bought was very good. The girl behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. We were in, shopped, paid and out enjoying snacks for theday. I ordered my wedding cake from Yesenia and WOW, I could not have loved it anymore! Not only was it beautifully decorated, it was delicious! I ordered a sample box with different cake flavors and they were all sooo good! I ultimately settled for her version of funfetti and it was a hit! Adorable little shop nestled at the far end on the first floor of Main street and worth a stop. They have an AMAZING vegan apple pie that is to die for, or if you're just looking for an apple pie that is just less sweet than what they serve at Mom's or Julian Pie Co this is worth a try. Ingredients are wholesome and freshly baked. Cost is a $20 per pie that is slightly smaller than Mom's/JPC however great things come in small packages and there is a whole lot of quality in this pie. Additionally they have an amazing variety of chocolates that are not mainstream. I love this store as an addition to the all the offerings on Main street in Julian. Whenever I visit Julian I love hitting up their candy stores. But this one is not it. Everything is expensive and you get small quantities. For the prices you'd think they made it in house! 3 caramels for $7? Also, the chocolates looked moldy. Update: I do not know how to reply to your comment, so I will reply here. I'm sorry you lost an employee, unless that is related to them selling moldy items or hiking up prices, I am unsure how that is related to me. Perhaps in the future you may keep this in mind when pricing things. This shop has gourmet Belgian dark chocolate handmade to perfection! I definitely recommend the Strawberry Truffle a unique flavor experience you won't forget with tart strawberry surrounded by melt in your mouth dark chocolate. I also enjoyed the dark chocolate cashew bar with its rich flavor and large chunks of well distributed unsalted cashews. I was in Julian last week and stayed in the hotel across the street from this shop. I purchased several items: coffee beans from Mexico, a brownie, chocolate caramels and limoncello almonds. All were exceptional! The coffee if very smooth with no bitterness. The brownie and caramels were very rich and good. But my favorite: the limoncello almonds. They are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

We came here for the vegan apple pie, which they sadly did not have when we arrived. BUT! We did walk out with a slice of vegan birthday cake that was absolutely delicious (and did not survive the drive home lol)! I visited the store Saturday the 13th. Tried to buy 2 face masks, a honey dipper & a rice krispy treat. Then wanted a separate transaction for 2 hot cocoa bombs. I was then charged twice for my original wanted items AND for the ones included into the purchase with the new price. when I was told by the young cashier that she could add on the hot cocoa bombs & it wouldn't be any trouble. Wow! What an awesome new find and experience. Hubby & I went to Julian, CA to go for a much needed drive to get out of the house. I looked up a little adorable chocolate shop hoping for some vegan options. I called ahead and asked if they had any vegan apple pie. I let them know I'd be there in 1.5 hrs. I got there and the cashier was wearing a mask (thank you) and when I gave my name she let me know they baked a pie for me and it was coming out of the oven. Wow! I looked around the shop and also found chocolate dipped oreos with sprinkles and rocky road bark - all plant based! So exciting. This little chocolate shop in Julian is such a hidden gem! I visited last Sunday and got quite a few goodies including the chocolate truffles, chocolate malt balls, macadamia caramel clusters, and a pistachio and sea salt dark chocolate bar. Everything is so delicious. I even bought some truffles for christmas gifts. I wish I had gotten more of the macadamia caramel clusters because they were my favorites, but I will definitely be back soon! read more

We stopped in this shop over Veterans Day. It's small but super cute. We picked up a box of assorted chocolates (dark chocolate caramels, clusters and toffee) and chocolate covered pretzels. They were delicious and were packaged so cute. If I hadn't eaten them all they would have made a cute gift for someone. We will definitely come back again. read more

Yesenia made the cakes and apple pies for our wedding this past month in Julian at Pine Hills Lodge and did a BEAUTIFUL job! She made our 2-tiered wedding cake look exactly like the pictures of what we sent her and did a beautiful job decorating the cake with flowers provided by the florist. The cakes were DELICIOUS! We served her chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and ganache filling and vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and strawberry filling. Everyone loved it. She also made apple pies for our display table and sheet apple pies to serve our wedding guests. So many of our guests even commented that her apple pies tasted better than Julian Pie Company. She did a beautiful job setting up our desserts and even let us borrow some of her cake stands for the display table. We were so happy to find her in Julian with the limited number of bakeries in that area but we were even happier with the quality of her desserts. I highly recommend working with Yesenia to make desserts for your next wedding or party! read more
