Tammie Nails is the best nail salon in Tacoma! I went there because of all the five star reviews and I was not disappointed. They care about the work they do so plan on not being rushed. They take their time to ensure they do quality work, they're gentle (their services never hurt the way some some salons do) and the staff is friendly and caring. This is the BEST nail salon I've ever been to! Everyone I've had do my nails here has done an amazing job. I was always scared to get acrylics because I thought they would look too fake, but all of the nail techs here do a great job of making them look thin and natural. They always listen to any concerns I have and make them the length and shape that I love. In the pictures I've attached, I asked for square acrylic nails and I have gel polish on top (I believe in the shade PM131). The salon is clean and everyone is super nice. This was my first time here, and it was great! I had been putting off getting a pedicure because the last time I got one at a different place I got a fungal infection. So I was leery about getting another one. I asked what they're cleaning procedures were, and Stephanie explained them to me. It made me feel confident. Also, she used disposable sponges, pumice stone, and emery board on me. My feet look and feel great! Stephanie gives a great leg and foot massage also! This was an amazing nail experience! I have looked for a very long time for a salon in Lacey that would help me with my ingrown toe nail. After exhausting every place I could find in Lacey I found Tammie's in Tacoma and after months of pain I am now ingrown toe nail and pain free. Tammie did an amazing job and I am so happy. Just went for the first time last night after finding Tammie Nails on Yelp. The salon is very clean, everyone there was friendly and they understood exactly what we were looking for. (My daughter was getting chrome ombre acrylics with ballet shape for her bday). I wanted to find somewhere where they would actually give her exactly what she wanted, and this was it! Went in as a last minute thing to get my nails done they were very friendly and did an awesome job the only thing I didn't like was that I called ahead of time for pricing and they said they start at 25$ And go up. Understandable so I had gotten acrylic nails and regular polish and at the end ended up being 45$+ tip I paid and tipped but I feel like it's pretty pricey I have never paid that much for a full set Ever but other then expensive they were great read more

I got a manicure and pedicure at this place. I usually go to posh nail spa in federal way and they are the best! But my bf is literally two minutes away from this place and I was in dire need to get my nails done. The lady who did my pedi and mani was NOT pleasant at all. 1st I asked to have the water a bit warmer for my pedi and she rolled her eyes and turned the water on for not even 30 seconds which didn't make the water warmer. So I endured a cold ass pedi. After the pedi I had my nails filled and a polish change. She didn't talk to me at all like the other ladies were doing with their clients. She had attitude the whole time, like she was mad she had to do my nails. Couldn't even smile, frowned the whole time. I don't appreciate the women's attitude AT ALL. My nail lady always verifies what polish I want, especially when it comes to glitter. I asked for white nails and a glitter accent. That girl just picked a random glitter without consulting me first. She just wanted to get my nails over with. I thought that was very rude. Then, to top it off she didn't even file my nails straight and she had gel overlapping my cuticles. When I asked to have the mistake fixed she once again had annoyance written all over her face. She talked bad about me to the owner In Vietnamese for sure. It was obvious. I will never waste my time or money here again. I don't recommend this place and I sure as heck don't recommend that employee. I wish I knew her name fam so you would know not to use her. But I can describe her. She's older than the rest with blocky eyebrows and she may have been wearing glasses. Don't waste your time here. Go to posh nail spa. They are kind and hardworking. i came in here on a whim, 6:50pm one of the only shops near by open. i've been getting my nails done for years, and this nail salon is not only one of the cleanest i've ever seen, but Tammie herself is amazing. I come in and get greeted immediately, followed by me picking my color. Tammie Nails has a HUGE selection of regular, gel, & acrylic powder colors. She also has a great selection of foils, glitters, and all the fun fancy stuff. I came for just a regular gel polish fill, but after seeing all of my options, i went for one of the iridescent/reflective powders. Tammie not only fixed my 3 week old nails, but made the shape and overall job of them done even better than when i got the fresh set at another salon. I loved that she had night time talk shows playing instead of just random music or the news. it made the experience much more enjoyable compared to all other salons i've been to. DO NOT GO HERE! This place cut my toe while giving me a pedicure. When I told her before she even started to super glue my broken nail. She said ok, then proceeded to cut them! It started stinging and burning, and yet they acted as it was ok. Of course, it's not their feet. She couldn't speak English but pretends she knows what your saying. Their prices are not listed and for a small ghetto shop they charged me $50 for dip nails LOL laughable. When I asked for a price list, they never provided one, and called the police. A small local place growing in popularity, so make sure you make an appointment. I was lucky to get a last minute appointment within 10 minutes of calling. I had a mani/pedi and the service and application was outstanding. The pedi started out in a massage chair with a lemon scrub and ended with a relaxing foot massage. The ladies here take pride in their work and it shows. They are super courteous in making sure you're nail polish has a lasting impression. I made an appointment for a mani/pedi for 1130am; went in they actually scheduled me for 130pm. So I had to wait a lil bit longer than anticipated. Pedicure was on point! Loved the massage that comes with it. Once I got to do the mani I told the girl that I wanted gel instead of regular polish; me not knowing that gel could go on our regular nail bed but thinking it could only go on acrylic. So the whole time the lady was doing my cuticle I was thinking wow what a great thing that this shop does the cuticle so well for acrylic. Once she started to gel my nails with the polish i asked if it was acrylics that she was gonna put on. she started talking to the other lady in their language & switched off after finishing the other ladies acrylics next to me. I ended up paying $70- 35 for mani/pedi & another 35 for my acrylics. I just thought It wasn't a good day since they only literally cut my cuticles off. Not only did I pay 70$ for my nails but I also had to wait longer I got out of the shop by 230... was there since 1130. I decided to go here based on the Yelp reviews and because it's near my daughters daycare. I was nervous because I'm very picky about where I go to get my nails done. When I walked in everyone was very friendly and immediately addressed me. The place was clean and looked nice. It took me sometime to even post a review. This visit was overpriced & impersonal. I expected my manicure to be the price that it was just because I had my old set "soaked" off (it wasn't properly soaked off, fragments of the impartially soaked acrylic were flying everywhere throughout the whole process). The Nail Tech was very rough with my hands. I actually called in to schedule an appointment the day before to be seen when they first opened up. I could understand being five to ten minutes late, but it was at least 15 minutes after the opening time that I waited. There was no apology for the delay. I saw the pretty high ratings for this est. & the promo deal enticed me enough to visit. I got a Gel Manicure & Pedicure. One of the Nail Techs assured me that I would get the $5 off; it was my first & last time visiting. By the time I cashed out, it was not honored. the younger girl who works here is just rude. i was asking questions try to clarify things such as what comes with a manicure (because my mother's cuticles weren't touched at all) and why they were charging $40 for her fill with gel not including manicure) and she kept speaking to "the boss" in their language so i couldn't understand what she was saying then having her boss argue with me about things i hadn't even said. they said it's $30 for the fill, $10 additional for gel, $10 additional for manicure and $5 additional for a cut and shape of the acrylic nails which is all crazy to me because i've never been charged extra for things that always come normal with either a manicure or a regular full set (my younger sister got) or fill. they charged $45 for a full set, gel w/ 2 design fingers. n manicure. and as you can see on my moms (mint colored) they didn't even remove all of her old polish so you can still see it around the edges. they were so rude and defensive and even sarcastic while we were just trying to figure out what was going on since we've never been here before. as you can see from the pictures this was NOT WORTH IT GO TO DIVA NAIL OR VISEY NAIL BAR WAY MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK AND ACTUAL GOOD WORK AND GREAT SERVICE! read more

Felt so rushed. Came in for a gel color change and pedi color change. The first girl was pretty nice, but then I got passed off to an older lady who was rude, distracted, and wouldn't listen to me. She was also very aggressive when buffing my nails, and now the skin around my nails is peeling and sore. I wanted ONE gem on my left ring finger. The first girl told me no charge (I didn't mind paying for it but she said no big deal for ONE). At the end.....I got no pedi color change and the gel color I wanted on my fingers ended up not even being the first one I chose because the first girl didn't give the second my color, and I had to pick again. To top it off the gems ended up on both ring fingers....even though I told her only my left. Super frustrating. She wasn't going to do the gem at all, and seemed annoyed that I was requesting it. She put it on crooked and sloppy. The price I was quoted was $5 less than what I was charged. I just paid it. I didn't really feel a tip was warranted, but I can't not tip, so I left a $2 one. Left without the pedi color change and called it a day. Never going back. read more

I honestly have no idea how they have so many good reviews. The place is clean and everyone was nice but the nails just were not done that great. Me and my friend came in and the wait time took forever. I think waiting was an hour and then doing the nails itself took 2 hours. Only one of the ladies did acrylics, don't know what the other girls are there for. I chose a color that they told me wouldn't be neon but when they painted it on it was super neon and ugly. Did not want to waste more time taking it off. She did not ask me if I wanted my nails cut down or shaped at all. They add 5$ for details on 2 fingers. You can buy the details off eBay for $1. Makes no sense. The detail didn't even look as great as they hyped it up to be. I just don't think it's worth it to come back. Maybe it was just a bad day to come in. Also my nails were done so thin that they broke within a week.....and my friend had to file hers down as well at home even after she told the lady doing her nails that they weren't even and that she wanted them filed more. I just don't get the hype. Maybe they've gotten better, but from our experience it just was not worth the money. read more

Went in to get a fill. The owners & her daughter did did my nails to be honest it was a rush job and it was insane price for the area. The location isn't a nice area, Don't waste your time here, $55 for a fill and a half ass attempt at ombré. I literally couldn't believe it. All they did was put a nude gel polish on, dab some white gel polish at the tip, and use a pearly powder over the white. Since their Fill is 15$ a nail replacement was 5$ they charged me $35 for what I just explained. I will never go back, never recommend anyone ever to the shop. Looking at the sides of my nail color they are bumpy and part of the corners of my nails have no color on them. So disappointed, i've never spent that much money on a fill for such little work. What they charged me most definitely covered The entire bottle of gel color, and the sparkly powder. I'm not sure if they treat all their new customers like this? I took a picture of my nails and you can see the simple design, also looking at the sides of the nails they are uneven and just look like poor quality. read more
