I stopped by here on the way from a state park nearby. Service was quick and friendly. I thought as a diner/breakfast place food was decent, portions were nice size. I ended up splitting egg whites with chicken and potatoes and French toast with my friend. French toast was nice size portions and comes with 3. Orange juice was Tropicana OJ. Overall I would come back here again was it best diner breakfast? No but definitely not bad. Portions were nice and price was good. read more

Great diner with reasonable prices in this day and age. We went there on Good Friday and had a wonderful meatless dinner. I had the grilled shrimp which came with a potato, salad bar and soup. My husband had the shrimp fries diavlo And he said it was absolutely delicious, better than an Italian restaurant. His dinner also came with the salad bar and soup. We had ice cream from the ice cream shop for dessert and as always, it was wonderful. I highly recommend Jumboland if you want good food with a reasonable price. read more

Was in eating dinner the male waiter was working on the computer and then said to the coworkers "this computer is acting like a "R" word. So I said please don't say that i have a cousin that is handicap. He then stated to talk down on a young female waiter in front of customers, I jumped up and said you don't talk/fight with coworkers like that in front customers The only reason I jumped up to defend the waitress is because I saw that she was not comfortable with him speaking like that to her. He then got into my face. I went to Tommy the owner and as I was talking to him about the male waiter. As I was talking to him the waiter came over and then said I get I get off at 9 o'clock if you want to come back and fight, he also at that point step to me with his fist clench. Tommy did NOTHING about it I said what are you going to do about that to a customer he told me nothing to just go back snd sit down. Tommy then came over and said I shouldn't of got involved well maybe so but I was always tough you stand for other people especially when they are being bully by someone. read more

We stumbled across this place by mistake. We took a different way home from our place upstate and it was the best decision. We will make this a frequent stop. I had a car load of kids and one of them wasn't feeling well from being in the car and having empty belly. I saw the sign and walked into a very bright and clean restaurant and was welcomed by a very friendly staff. I ordered 4 children takeouts (each less than $5) and that came with drink and dessert! This restaurant was cute, and had your typical diner vibes; however the food wasn't as good as I expected it to be. I stopped while on a long drive home because my friend had been before and mentioned their "jumbo" menu. Frankly, deciding what to get was a struggle in it of itself and I eventually decided on the appetizer "Mac and Cheese bites" and the "California burger" for my entree. The Mac and cheese bites were refried and pretty disappointing, I would rate them a 4/10 and my friend who also ate them rates them a 5/10. The bites left an interesting taste in your mouth. The California burger was super juicy and a classic diner food, I would recommend this for sure. The fries that came alongside it seemed to have been fried too long and had the same refried look as the cheese bites but tasted good enough. I would rate the burger an 8/10 and the fries a 7/10. read more

I ordered 3 eggs plus choice of two (ham, bacon, sausage) $8.98. Arrived with no meat. "Is everything OK?" No it's not - I asked for bacon and sausage. The server brought them out on a separate plate. The bill was over $12. She had billed the bacon and sausage separately. $3.75 EACH. I asked the cashier to correct it. Showed her the menu item. She finally understood, then disappeared. Came back with a new bill. It was STILL too high. She explained "breakfast and coffee". BUT I DIDN'T order coffee. Three times I was asked if I wanted coffee, and three times I said NO. Disappeared again. Finally got it right. Paid. She disappeared a third time to make change from a cash register in the back. All together, I spent over 10 minutes standing at the cash register. All the cashier would say is "OK?". Never "I'm sorry". Or the customer-friendly right thing "We messed up. I know your time is valuable. Just go. The meal is on us." This at 10AM. No crowd. Staff sitting around chatting with each other. I used to stop 2-3 times a month. Never again. read more

I've stopped in here many times. I like the paninis and always ask to substitute a side salad for the French fries. Sometimes they do for an extra charge, but today I was told that if I wanted a side salad I would have to pay full price for a side salad. Does not make sense? Why should I have to pay full price for a side salad when I am asking them to hold the fries? read more

Stopped here for breakfast. The back lot is huge and the were able to accommodate our group with two RVs. The food was good and fairly priced. Our waitress was great, very attentive. The bathrooms could use a little tending to and the AC wasn't great otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. read more

OK went back not to long ago, the waitress was extremely rude to my son and I. Rolling her eyes cause my son needed more time to decide what he wanted. Had a snarky attitude and said hurry up and order. The food was less then subpar this time around and when I asked for the check she said it's about time. I asked for the manager but she said he wasn't there and that the manager wouldn't care, and told me to get out. I walked back over to the table and took the tip back. Won't be returning here again and have warned all my foodie friends to stay clear. read more

My husband I have been coming here for the past 4 years. We used to love this place and would stop in frequently. Ever since the chatterbox closed this place has gone down hill. Our food has come out not cooked properly. We have been given the wrong thing and charged for it after sending it back. We have never been charged for refills or extra for an unsweetened iced tea. Until our most recent visit. My husband asking the lady at the register about the refill charge and price of the unsweetened iced tea, she told us they have always charged $2.25 for the tea and $0.75 for refills. After my husband paid they didn't even wait for us to leave before talking about us and making comments about us questioning the prices. This is very unprofessional and very rude. After this experience Jumboland has lost our patronage. read more

Went to Jumboland for dinner, service was good but when my dinner arrived the french fries had something to be desired. Along with the fries was a bunch of black carbonized food bits and when I had eaten about half of them I found a cucumber peal mixed in, I stopped eating and brought it to the attention of our server "Denise" all she could do is say "sorry" and took the peal with her. There was no offer of a reduced bill, no one came to the table like a manager or owner, the only person who came was Denise. I paid the bill and walked out, Nothing was said to me about anything. Stopped for a bite twice this past weekend. Friday afternoon I stopped on my way to the Poconos, ordered the burger lunch special topped with onions, mushrooms, bacon, cheese on a nice fresh roll. YUM! Came with soup, chose the split pea. Very good! Opted for Cole slaw as my side. Delicious! On my way home Sunday morning I stopped for breakfast. The joint was jumping! Ordered the country breakfast wrap with a side of sweet potato fries. Outstanding. Strong, fresh coffee. Despite the crowd on Sunday morning (Labor Day Weekend), service was exceptional. So, first time in this cute little establishment. To be completely honest the food wasn't horrible. BUT service was incredibly terrible. Being a vegetarian I got a vegetarian wrap, and to my surprise of course chicken is mixed into the wrap, thus telling me that they didn't separately cook my food from the other meals. Our waitress was incredibly unhelpful even after she charged me for fries that I did not receive and told me that it's not their problem. I was disappointed with my breakfast. I ordered the three's company. My pancakes were huge but they were chewy and had no flavor. The pancakes didn't seem to be cooked all the way through and the lack of flavor is because it must have been a water based pancake mix rather than buttermilk. We stopped in for a late lunch while passing through town and found a real gem! The food was delicious, the portions enormous and the service friendly. I had the Cha Cha Burger which was a burger with melted American cheese and mushroom gravy. It was perfect-I ate every drop! My BF had the jumbo Italian hot dogs and we should have heeded the name jumbo because one was a real meal. I finished my meal with a small vanilla moose tracks sundae, which was excellent. This review is for ice cream. My wife and I were traveling back to Hudson county after a long day of tubing on the Delaware River and we came across this cute diner on the way. The ice cream shop was perfect for a late afternoon treat. I got the root beer float which was nice and refreshing, but nothing spectacular. Bottom line, the ice cream was solid and the staff is nice. I would come back here for more ice cream. read more

I have been here on 2 occasions. The first time was back in 9/2015, had brunch with my 4 yr old. We both got bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll. (Our favorite). But there was something gross about their bacon. Reminded me of bacon flavored thin plastic. Decided to try it again with the whole family recently. Bad idea. I sensed that they may have been short staffed that evening, not sure. Our waitress seemed bothered to serve us, like annoyed. (Everyone has a bad day, so no judgement there). My husband ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes and green beans. When it came out I knew it wasn't going to taste good. It was dark brown and dry looking. He tried it, man will eat just about anything when hungry. He made a face and offered me a taste. I tried it, tasted like overcooked London broil. Quite gross. His green beans tasted like a can was opened dumped into a pot and heated. Canned water and all. No flavor other than salty can. Mashed potatoes were bland and basic. My daughter who ordered a BLT, was grossed out. Apparently the bacon is made the same way as last time. It didn't come with fries, even though the waitress said it did. My chicken franchise was, eh. Came with a mountain of spaghetti. It said it was supposed to come with (on the menu) soup, salad, potato, and vegetable. The waitress argued with me and I showed her where it said it. But when she brought it out she said it didn't bc it came with pasta. I would have traded the pasta for a salad. My son got fries with his grilled cheese. Some of the fries were black, like beyond overcooked. Waitress came to the table 8x and didn't refill kids drinks (which were right in front of her with tops off) until we asked her nicely 2 different times to do so. Never even offered to refill ours. My daughter politely asked for crayons and waitress said yes, but never came back with them. The kids got soft serve ice cream and it was delicious. Minus the piece of plastic in one of theirs. We won't be coming back here. On the bright side we didn't have to pay for the prime rib, but husband was starving. read more
