Proved I was right then goes back and says he won't because I said I'd come steal my property back that EZ Pawn stole from me..Yes when someone steals from you, you have every right to take back your property. So I pawned my apple laptop, never pawned my Thule Case. Told them the Case is to protect the nearly brand new laptop, and I would be taking the Case back. EZ Pawn Shop said on the pawn ticket it says "Laptop and Case"..well I never agreed to pawn my Case, only the laptop, so you added that in - Without my Consent - but very sneaky unprofessional and illegal of you to add that wording into something I never agreed upon. Thule Case not listed as a separate item on my ticket and no amount listed on my pawn ticket that was paid to me for my Thule Case. Plain and simple, you are stealing my property.. l If I wanted to pawn my Thule Case I would have. Its worth good money. Then Charlie said they just throw out the cases, so why not give it back to me if you're going to throw it out then? The store is very clean and well organized and Tim let me fully test the camera. The price was very fair and Tim worked with me to make sure I could take care of a maintenance item without having to cover that cost after the purchase. This was my first actual pawn shop purchase and I really appreciated Tim's professionalism, friendliness and effort to make a fair sale. I saved several months to buy the chain for over $400 and the gold charm that hangs on it I paid over $300 for (separate, reputable jewelers) Before taking it in I take the time to clean the item and finish it off with a polishing cloth. I only needed $75 but why take the chance. I had pawned a few things at this place before and *always redeemed them. ie, I always go back and get my stuff and it works ok for what it is. I get some money up front, they make a nice profit at the end. I've done it enough times over the years I can tell the man behind the counter recognizes me (it's always the same guy). Not suggesting we know each other's names, but I'm a good, repeat customer let's say Long story long he says he can do $30. No missing a zero. Thirty dollars for a $700+ necklace. Ok, so the fact is, there are going to be times when pawn shops have exactly what you want at a reasonable price, but folks have some hang-ups for this reason or that about shopping at one. Worry not. My experience this past Saturday at US Pawn made up for the past several negative experiences I'd had at other pawn shops--whether it was staff who could care less about your questions regarding the product and just want to get your cash and get your ass out the door, or some who create entirely misleading advertisements to draw you into the store, then, when you get there and see the product and you comment on that fact, they blow it off and advise that you don't have to shop there (Hey, no problem. I won't now, and won't ever again.) Now, US Pawn? Well, they're a great business with quality items, and also happen to have stellar customer service. I was worried that I might have to twist someone's arm to even get close to the leaf blower I was interested in before waving some cash around, but as soon as I walked in and told Nick what I'd come to see, he immediately, proactively suggested we go out front so I could try it out, taking the time to hang out with me while I happily created a huge dust cloud in front of the store for five minutes. He then answered all my questions the best he could--I mean, who's a leaf blower expert anyway?--and discussed pricing with me, quickly landing on a selling price that worked for both of us, then efficiently completed the transaction with a genuine 'thank you,' and actually remembered my name throughout the process (I know it seems minor, but it means a lot). As I left, eyeing some incredible, classic Bose 901 speakers Nick happened to have displayed for sale, he invited me to keep an eye out on Craigslist for other items that may be interesting to me, and I told him--genuinely--that I absolutely would.
