Every time I've been there I feel claustrophobic, even if there's only 1 person in front of you waiting to be seated there's nowhere to really stand without somehow getting in someone's way. I was in the area and this popped up on Yelp. I like the lunch specials and most came with a side. I got the half tuna sandwich. Tuna is always a crap shoot for me. It was on caraway rye that I love. They know how to do tuna right, no frills moist, lots of mayo. Nothing weird in it and perfectly seasoned. Stuffed too. I got a side of potato salad. A firm full scoop. I passed on the pizza soup, probably better than it sounds. Good service. Bathroom had al tall toilets and handles. Only complaint the dispenser is right next to your thigh and is awkward as hell. This is my go to place in Cottage Grove and I usually order the salmon burger. Last time I was in I ordered the salmon burger and potato salad. The potato salad was runny so I didn't order it this time. Their potato salad is one of the best potato salads I have tasted but the last time I don't know if, there is a new vendor making it or not. Last time I was in the salmon burger was dried out this time time it was a little salty. Service is always prompt and people are always smiling which makes me seem they enjoy working there. Really a 2.5 stars for me, personally. I've been to this establishment a few times over the past few months and, in my opinion, the only good food on the menu is their burgers. I had deviated from this section of the menu and tried their steak and veggies. The steak was not cooked as ordered (ordered rare, came out nearly well done) and was very salty. The veggies were steamed, maybe in a microwave, and we're fairly rubbery. My significant other tried their Mac and cheese dish (cracky Mac or something to that effect); it was rather bland and not as cheesy as you would expect Mac and cheese to be. As mentioned though, the burgers are big and tasty and they have a large selection of beers. A convenient location to get some lunch and brews. If you like bingo, they do that for a few hours on Saturdays; gets a bit loud with the microphone and whatnot. Overall, pretty average. read more

We love how close this place is for us! The arcade is a huge hit for our kids. I've tried several of their salads and they are tasty! I love the steak salad, the dressing was delicious! The chicken satay is delicious! The wings are darn good. It's a sport bar, so lots of large screen TVs in the bar area and low top tables in the dining area. They have a kids menu with a hand tossed pizza that is amazing for a kids meal! The waitresses are usually attentive about refills and other needs. They have ab awesome outdoor patio in the summer with yard games! Can't say about good things about it. read more

Lunch time visit, first visit was not a good experience. Four other patrons seated after us and ordered after us served first. The Cuban sandwich was good, on one half, the other half (this evening) was a huge piece of pork fat & gristle, so another disappointing meal. They were out of their Smokehouse brisket so the pulled pork was my substitute. Big mistake, no smoke, meat was leftovers they warmed poorly. Sauce accompaniments were watery, with only one having a decent taste. I have to wonder who's smoking their meats as the pork had none and the ribs we took home look meaty, but no bark or smoke. The saving grace was a wonderful hostess who seated us immediately, brought paper menus and gave us our servers name. Our server was polite and professional, prompt and filled our drink order and put our food order in and then we waited and waited and waited. Again, disappointed in all things Smokehouse. read more

Junction 70 has been open now for about a year. Initially their food was outstanding, it has gone down hill steadily! I will no longer eat there after the brisket they served me tonight, 11/3/2018. The brisket was cut into rectangles, much like Lincoln Logs. It was served on a piece of bread. The bread wasn't toasted, nor did it have any juice from the meat on it, cause there was no juice in the meat. It was totally dried out and disgusting! I no longer recommend this place. They used to have a wonderful garlic flavored Mac & Cheese that was to die for, that's gone, brisket is cut differently every time I have ordered in the last year, steaks are filled with gristle the last few times I had them. During the same time their prices have sky rocketed! No value left in eating their, back to Woodbury for decent sit down meals. They don't even deserve 1 star. The noise levels in the place are through the roof and you don't want to be there on Saturday unless you enjoy ear splitting bingo calling. It has become a bar with really bad bar food! I mentioned to the waitress that I had never seen brisket cut that way in my life! No answer from her, she just walked away. When it came time to pay for the bill a different waitress showed up. Ordered take out from Junction 70 and had a great experience! The ordering process was smooth and easy. The order was fresh and ready on time. We enjoyed the cheese curds and blueberry sauce. The sauce was very sweet which took me aback at first, but it actually was very tasty! We ordered the drumstick wings. I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to wings, but my husband enjoyed the large juicy drumsticks. Will be back to try more items from the menu! read more

Junction 70 is great for standard bar casual/American fare. I used to go here 3-4 times a week for lunch and dinner combined - awesome option to have less than five minutes from my house. I like how their sauces and food are very fresh. My main issue with Junction 70 - and it's a consistent one that happens too often and is why I am not a regular anymore - is the inconsistent service, pricing, and food received. I've gotten charged incorrectly and the wrong food too many times to count by now. One time I went to pick up my food and when I got back it ended up being another order completely. I brought it back to pick up the right food and the lady was rude and said "well we're busy and you should have checked to make sure your server understood." Excuse you, but it was a slow time, I was clear, they confirmed my order, and they still put the wrong food in my sealed bag. Additionally, I got charged for the wrong prices pretty often. Sometimes a lunch special was $12 and other times it was $20 - all because they would key in the wrong order. Overall, the food is good and I like their patio. But the lackluster service and experience is not enough for me to come regularly anymore. read more

Ordered the Pot Pie tonight, 2-3 hours later I was vomiting and severe diarrhea. My husband called and talked to the Manager Josh. He argued it takes 18-24 hours to get food poisoning and then was silent on the call. No apology whatsoever. My husband said okay?... Good luck with that... After I finished puking my husband told me what happened. He called back and asked to speak with a manager, Josh answered and said he was the manager. He lied and said he offered my husband a replacement, he lied, he never said anything like that. He didn't say anything, just responding that he was sure it wasn't food poisoning. I didn't eat anything else that could have made me sick. My husband said it was B.S. when Josh outright lied that he offered a replacement, Josh said he was swearing and hung up on him, like a child. My husband called back to get another manager name, having to call back tomorrow. He continued to argue it would take 18-24 hours. My Husband said that is not true, Josh asked with a smart tone, did you look it up? He said yes, and told him he was wrong. The entire thing was insane, we didn't call asking for anything. We used to eat there fairly often, we just wanted to make sure no one else was eating the tainted Pot Pie. It was very rude and he didn't care at all about customer service, just wanting to tell my Husband he was wrong. All the money we have spent in the past. The food is okay. We have even had burnt taste in the Pot Pie before, never called to complain. Had cold food, didn't complain. Never complained, trying to support local. Josh is not mature enough to be working with customers. Had he said sorry, I'll check on it. That would have been fine. He chose to tell us we were wrong. When he should be worried about all the other people that ate the Pot Pie tonight. All other things I ate earlier today, my family ate and they were all fine. Super cute shaded patio! Our waitress was super nice, attentive. I ordered their Bloody Mary - it did not disappoint, it was flavorful and delicious just how I like 'em! I ordered the breakfast sandwich (egg and bacon with pesto) with hashbrowns, yum! This meal seems small but is Extremely filling, I was in a food coma after that. My friend ordered the chicken wild rice soup with Cobb salad, that too looked so good. The time has come. I've been waiting to give my two cents on this place since their initial soft opening months upon months ago. I couldn't be happier with the amount of effort that has been put into this place. It's funny when I hear people talk about minor problems they occurred when initially coming here because this place has flourished well beyond the expectations of us Cottage-Grove-ians. The construction of this place focuses mainly on the gorgeous 36 taps at the bar, the high vaulted ceilings incorporate depth, and the hints of industrial subtlety throughout the establishment shows character. I have only experienced positivity from all of the hard working employees here. From the bartenders that remember your drink of choice (Beth, Clay,Jimmy, and Nick.. I'm referring to you four!) to the wait-staff that remembers your plate of choice. The dishes have always been on point as well. The pasta dishes have always came out looking immaculate and the burgers are killer as well. Your choice of sides are endless as well. The pricing is more than fair. I hear from friends of mine saying that it's a a little steep. I say that is rubbish. Sure, the place is more chic than this town may be use to, but that doesn't mean that the atmosphere and food isn't worth it. We came early on a Saturday evening between rounds of a hockey tournament. There were 40+ of us including players all with about an hour and a half notice. They seated us all in a large back room where we could move tables as needed. The staff did an amazing job of keeping everything straight including orders and bills by player number. The kitchen stayed caught up and food was run from the kitchen as it came up. Food was hot and tasty when it got served. They also let us order from the happy hour food menu which had lots of options and larger than expected portions. We chose to go here tonight because we live in Woodbury and had never been. People have expectations for prices, menu variety, food quality, etc. The most important for me and most people however is the "experience." The food here is nasty and the servers are lazy and inappropriate. We have tried eating here three times now and it has never gotten better. The brisket is here has never been cooked right. It is always over cooked and sliced wrong. Thick hard beef chunks is not brisket. If there is a positive it would be that they have pull tabs and a decent selection of tap beers. This restaurant is an absolute gem. The food is great and the atmosphere is always lively. I frequent this spot often. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming. My favorite meal is the Cuban, but also love the Jumbalaya and various appetizers. Management is focused on creating a great culture and they have always engaged myself and others, making us feel welcomed and valued as customers. I highly recommend you give it a try. read more

Boils down to attitude of servers at the bar which is where i sit and i drink AND eat and consistency. Food was solid three. My husband and I were recently at Junction 70 when we saw an encounter with a customer and an owner that revolted us. While there for happy hour drinks we met a very kind man and had a lively conversation. We were having a great time, when he got up to dance. He was an Indian man, and when the owner saw him dancing he was told that that wasn't allowed. Trying to give the owner the benefit of the doubt we assumed that dancing wasn't allowed, but after trying to deescalate the situation it was crystal clear that this was an issue of race and not restaurant policy. After being told not to dance, this man tried to apologize and ask what he did wrong; he was bombarded with eye rolls, rude comments, and pure ignorance and was left crying. We tried to do the same by asking what was wrong and why the situation was so heated, and we were given the same eye rolls, rude comments, and ignorance. We are insanely lucky to have never had to face this type of discrimination, and because this isn't something that happened to us it isn't our place to say how it made us feel. But we need to hold people accountable for their words and actions, and owner of establishments are no different. Interpret this as you will, but please be aware of what is happening in our community and where you are bringing your business. read more
