Another boba place in Concord to add to the list! If you're looking for a chic, modern, and cozy spot with lots of unique drink options, this is the place to go. I got the Fresh Strawberry Sumuji and it wasn't too sweet in the best way possible. The natural sweetness of the fresh strawberries was enough to bring out the flavor without being too overpowering. According to my friends who live in the area, this is one of the best boba places in the area. I got the Oreo sumuji, which is an Oreo slush. It already comes with boba and the size was huge. Boba was super chewy and the sweetness was perfect. They also have onigiri and ramen here as well but we had dinner plans and skipped it this time. I'd have to come back to try. Great bubble tea spot near Diablo Valley College! Junenov Tea is a relatively new addition to the Diablo Valley Plaza, directly across the street from the aforementioned junior college. I met up with my Yelp buddy George F. for a cup on 01/17/2024. It was pretty busy when I walked in at 4:30 pm. The interior was very clean, bright, and nicely decorated. Seating was ample. Their menu was extensive. I ended up ordering a 3G Milk Tea (B5). With tax, it was a little more than $7. I was given a buzzer for my order. The owner and the cashier were polite and friendly. My drink was ready in about five minutes. Tea taste was excellent. It was robust and tasted like it was made with quality tea leaves. People were telling my boyfriend and I that this place had the best mango sago. We went to come try it, while also bringing our laptops to work at the place. They had nice seating and walls with outlets if you wanted to study here. I was surprised to see such a big menu full of yummy looking Asian food. We ordered the mango sago and strawberry sumuji. Our drinks were HUGE LOL. Two drinks turned out to $16. It wasn't so busy when we went, but still waited over 10 minutes for it. We both liked our drinks, but thought it was soooo sweet and has an artificial flavor. I want to come back to try their milk tea, since they had sooo many options. The food here was really good but nothing jaw dropping, and the portions were good as well considering the price. When i ordered, I thought they were gonna give me a small portion, but there was a lot and I couldn't even finish it! New favorite boba place in the concord area! I've been here twice for the honey brown rice milk tea. I usually get 30 or 50% sweetness and it's perfect. The boba is so good too, always fresh and soft but chewy. I haven't tried their food yet but it looks good! Definitely a great spot to hang out and chat with friends. Cute area and patio. Junenov manager, please re-train your new & current employees. We typically order online and pick up within 15 mins. Today, Friday, 30 mins passed without getting notified to pick up our order. We went in and noticed a possibly new employee. Our Order was ready and just sitting there. The popcorn chicken was room temp and not hot. And for the past few visits, our 30% ice and 30% sugar drinks aren't being read. It's still sweet and ice nonexistent. It's too late by the time we taste it. Finally, a great boba shop in the neighborhood! I was so excited when this boba shop opened up! It's the perfect spot for a quick bite or a casual hangout. The interior is super cute and clean, and I love seeing people playing board games. I always order their mango sago, and it's absolutely delicious. The mango is so sweet and fresh. Another favorite of mine is the black sesame latte. Unfortunately, they sometimes run out, but it's definitely worth the wait. The food is also amazing. This place is conveniently located near DVC so it gets busy and filled with people doing school work or socializing. I had their soft shell crab onigiri since I wanted something easy to eat on the drive, and the 3G Boba drink with boba, grass jelly and egg pudding. Their soft shell crab was fried to perfection, so light, and easy to eat without making a mess. SO tasty and the ingredients so fresh. It's their tea for me, so perfect, and the 0% is truly what I prefer as a tea lover. THE QUALITY of their topping though, so QQ and great portions. The cup sizes are also on the longer side, and I love that they use high quality matte cups. Let's also talk about service. The sweet man who I think may be the owner or manager of the place is so kind, and I love that they use buzzers so you know when your order is done. Also, they sell ramen WHAT?! How is Junenov not being swarmed by all the foodies? Pleasant Hill is lucky to have Junenov, it's definitely on par with other top boba spots like Sunright and TeaTop, but less hyped and well-known. Came here today in the evening with a friend, and saw this pop out on my feed. Decided to come visit and give it a rating. This is a new boba spot to the area. I like how this is convenient for students who go to DVC or anyone that lives within the area. Parking was easy access, don't have to park far. Drinks: Fresh Mango Sago and Jasmine Milk Tea 10/10 If you want something refreshing and sweet, get the mango sago! Jasmine milk tea was great with the soft chewy balls Food: Basil Popcorn Chicken and Unagi Onigiri Popcorn chicken could do better, it was too dry and not crunchy. I've had other popcorn chicken from other boba spots, and the taste wasn't the same. Unagi Onigiri was a hit! If you like the dragon sushi roll, then you will definitely love eating the Onigiri! Wow! I never would have guessed this place has such an extensive food menu, it makes me wonder if they are mis-marketing themselves... I mean I like tea, but they are seriously underselling their fantastic food. I got the unagi/avocado/spam onigiri and black garlic ramen. I usually like a bit more salt in my BGR (not just here but most places I've tried), but after adding that the flavor was just fantastic. The onigiri was right up my alley too. I'm very much looking forward to coming back and trying out more things from the menu. It was a good location... near the college, clean and a nice place to eat. Service was good too, guy at the register was very nice (possibly the owner/manager?) I told him they had a great menu. I also liked that I was able to order everything online and have text message updates. I'm a huge milk tea/tea fan and I would say that Junenov is one of my favorites in the east bay. I alwasy get the peach oolong sea creama and the strawberry sumiji for my daughter. Ugh, I just settled with their 3G milk tea- milk tea with boba, grass jelly, and pudding. Tasted exactly like iTea's 3G milk tea. The other drinks we got tasted like iTea as well. So many good things to say about this place! Parking is great, service is speedy and friendly, Looks super cute inside. The spacing is limited to smaller parties, so it does get a little crowded during peak business hours but otherwise the space is well kept and the atmosphere is pretty chill and loud. The drinks are amazing both in flavor and looks! I really enjoyed trying the cream on top of the Tiramisu latte and the creme brulee. Personally i'm not too great with super sweet drinks, but this place makes the drinks yummy without adding too much sugar. -The tiramisu latte was really good, i did try to have some of the cream on top alone and also by mixing it into my drink. I would say the cream is thick so definitely won't mix well into the drink but still worth the try :). -The creme brulee was delicious, the cream is good by itself but i also tried mixing it and it was easy enough to mix while keeping a nice drink consistency. -The oreo sumuji was tasty! No problems, loved that the consistency was super smooth and not too icy. The flavor was good not too heavy. Overall this place is great for a nice drink. It comes out fast, tasty, and looks great! I haven't had a chance to try the food but i look forward to trying t in the future. Definitely drop by if you're looking for good boba in the pleasanthill/concord area. So I ordered it. If you're a meat lover, this is the ramen you want. The broth was thick and creamy with a strong pork bone flavor. The chashu slices were tender and delicious. The noodles were just decent, but that's expected from a non-ramen shop. Overall I really liked it. Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen - very similar to the Super Ramen, just different toppings (it came with an egg, bamboo shoots and wood ear mushrooms instead of additional chashu slices) and the broth had a good black garlic flavor. I go often and sometimes the staff is not friendly and doesn't even say hi, just waits for you to order. 2 for online order because app glitches a lot and is a bit outdated. Even though there's order history under my account, I can't just re-order. App also cannot store payment information or have Apple Pay, probably due to security program. 1 for loyalty program. Even though the app say there is loyalty program, staff says online orders do not qualify. So I go in and order in store but most of the time staffs do not give the receipt with QR code so I'll have to ask for it. When I receive it, I have to scan the QR code for it to record in the app, where I cannot use it to claim the reward read more
