Had the Cambodian short noodles with tofu. I was offered peanuts, which was a good addition. There was a fried egg on top with a runny yoke. They made it super spicy for me, which is hard to find. Had the Cambodian short noodles to go and it seemed like it was lacking flavor? Possibly due to the steam and heat in the container when closed. Had to add lots of soy sauce. But I'm sure that if it were out of container and served to be eaten in the restaurant that it would have tasted better. Friendly staff. Wish I could give 6 stars! We count this as our #1 place to go out to eat. They just shifted to a counter-service style restaurant and we still love it! The food is quite delish. Highly recommend getting extra tofu, they definitely know how to do tofu better than most. Their vietnamese coffee is also a must try. read more

This small family-run restaurant is a hidden gem in Chanhassen. The cheese wontons are the best I've ever had! I am so glad we got a double order so I didn't have to share. The Chicken Pad Thai was also delicious, better than Kona grill. Heed the red chili pepper warnings: the Lemongrass Chicken packed quite a punch. The Spring Rolls were fresh, crisp and tasty. Eaten here twice now for take out. Spring rolls and red curry. Jungle wings and lemon grass chicken. All were really really good. They give u enough food for two (if u get an app). Other posts are right the hot scale is a little off a little my nose ran at a 4 but i really was expecting more heat. I think they are just compensating for being in the burbs. Don't expect fancy, but expect nice workers (i was here on the weekend), clean and good food. It seems to be prepared in small batches. read more

I'm from out of town and we stopped here before going to Paisley Park, and the food was great! The girls working were very nice and the food came out quick. I got the jungle and surprise. The portions were large for a pretty good price, definitely enough to take some home. Seemed like a pretty busy place with lots of people inside and coming in for take out! Based on the many positive reviews of Jungle Kitchen, I decided to try one of the lunch specials (take-out). Having lived and worked in Bangkok, I really wanted to get my Thai fix, but sadly, the Jungle didn't do it for me. I ordered the #7 Jungle Surprise ("stir fried broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots sauteed with homemade sauce"), with chow mein and eggroll. The eggroll had a perfectly crispy, thin wrapper but the stuffing was a bland unrecognizable mush. The chow mein was OK. The vegetable and chicken Jungle Surprise had no seasoning or sauce that I could find. Chicken, broccoli, carrots and sweet peppers, but no chili peppers, onion or garlic (minimum staples of Thai cuisine). It was obvious the dish was freshly prepared as the vegetables were cooked perfectly...not precooked and left sitting over the steam table turning gray and limp (ala Leanne Chin). So, after my first bite, I headed for my kitchen cupboard. I added fish sauce, soy sauce, and chili flakes. Aah, much better. The Jungle's takeout container is smaller than Leanne Chin's, but the container was stuffed to the brim; I was satisfied after eating only half, so I have leftovers! The restaurant is clean and minimal. I agree with other reviewers that some background music and art would greatly improve the ambience. Staff were friendly and courteous. Unless I hear that they've improved their menu, I won't be returning to Jungle Kitchen. Sorry. read more

The Pho is delicious, with the Yellow Curry close behind. The Chicken and the Shrimp Pad Thai are good options, but not as flavorful. The owner or manager was very helpful and nice, but the service was a slow, especially with only 2 small groups dining that night. Empty plates sat far too long, 10-15 minutes after being finished. Fresh spring rolls were good, but nothing special, they do serve a light sauce to go with it. I didn't like the flavor, but the other three people at the table did. Cream cheese wontons were alright, should have been fried another minute. The Sticky Rice with Coconut Ice Cream is a must. It's nice to see a fresh new place in the area, will certainly be back. read more

if you are looking for good asian fusian food, this is the place to go to. if you are craving soup, get the pho because it is good and tastes just like homemade, not like instant noodle. the service is fast and friendly, got my drinks filled without asking or waiting. the whole place is very welcoming, i was greeted with a smile and seated right away at a table without any complication. I would recommend getting the Jungle stir fry because it is cooked with fresh clean vegetables and their homemade sauce is nice, sweet and delightful. The pad thai is also very good too because you can get it mild to wild on their spice level just ask the server. The pad thai have the right amount of good sauce on it, I have had other pad thai that was drenched in sauce. it is pad thai not spaghetti. I will go back to this place again for the food and the friendly service. read more

So pleased to have found this place! Convenient. It is family run with made from scratch food. That is the best part. We had staples of Pho, Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. So refreshing to have Southeast Asian food that is not dripping in sticky sweet sauce. The flavors are pure. The meat quality could be a little better. . . but maybe that is showing that they use whole chicken, not just chicken breasts. We would like to see some bright artwork on the walls! read more

I wanted this place to be good. They have some real potential. Have given it three tries, and they scored three strikes. The food is fresh, but the flavors are lacking. Also, the customer service is just not there. This last go around; I placed an online order, and they forgot about it. Then they made the egg rolls incorrectly and wanted me to wait another 10 minutes to correct the issue. Still charged full price. When I got home, I had ordered two orders of Pho, one regular and one special. Since my wife doesn't eat beef; I ordered it without beef and with shrimp instead. When we opened the package, the pho add-ins had beef and meatballs. Hopefully, someday they will pay attention to the details. I want to have choices in Chanhassen. read more

I had lunch here today. I ordered the fire shrimp. I asked for no rice and they were happy to sub for extra veggies. My food arrived quickly and it was so good that I ordered a to go lunch to bring to my hubs at work !. The prices were great too. Good portions! The restaurant was very clean. My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch, after seeing the good reviews on Yelp. I have to agree with the good reviews. Very good food and very good service. We both had lunch specials which had generous portions and represented a very good value. Family is from Cambodia, near border with Thailand. They said they'd be adding several items to the menu after the holidays. We'll definitely eat there again. read more
