One of my favorite go-to for food, beverage and great service. It's a cool vibe and busy most days.

Have been meaning to do a review ever since it opened. Lovely space with ample spread apart seating. Can tell everything including the design, seating, branding and drinks are very intentional so kudos to the owners. They have a good mix of both drink types - the fun seasonal drinks with their homemade syrups for both tea and coffee or classic pour over/espresso with quality beans. We've came here multiple times and the drinks are never too sweet which I appreciate Nice selection of pastries both savory and sweet. They just opened their kitchen as well! Fave local coffee shop for sure!

It was my first time here at Junia Café and it did not disappoint! I was greeted by a barista who had a kind demeanor and a warm smile, and the drinks came out swiftly. I ordered the matcha latte with oat milk as well as the earl grey mocha. The matcha powder that they use is high quality, and it's sweetened just enough with agave that the matcha shines through. The flavors in the earl grey mocha complimented each other very well. The lighting is natural and bright with their large windows, and there is a lot of seating for those who want to study or have a place to chat!

Looks like I found a new local coffee spot that's not a chain and the Toasted Vanilla Latte (decaf with oat milk) was delicious, wow!! The cafe is super cute and has a great chill vibe. The service was great from the moment I walked in. I'll definitely be back.

Incredible and intentional cafe. Great place to study, great service, great drinks. Got the hojicha and jasmine matcha, both with oat milk and were great. Decor, music, drinks... special.

Customer service is 10/10. The person who took my order was very friendly. She definitely made my experience better. Fast service. My drink was ready in no time. Parking wasn't the easiest but I was able to find one. When it comes to matcha lattes, I'm super picky because I feel like I can make a good one at home. I genuinely think the matcha latte here is incredible! I mean, just look at that color! Super smooth, well balanced, and the perfect amount of sweetness. It's just perfection. Also love that it's sweetened with agave. I got mine with oat milk and it was the best matcha latte I've had in a long time. The best in Gardena, imo. I definitely will be coming back and recommending this place to all my fellow matcha latte enthusiasts.

I met my match(a), and it's here at Junia! The matcha/coffee scene is so saturated now, so it's really hard to know which places are actually serving quality matcha. But Junia DEFINITELY lives up to any hype and more! The interior is minimal but intentionally decorated. I love the wood furnishing against the slate walls. Service was very warm and friendly, and the cashier gave me a full run down of the menu and their signatures. Although not explicitly on the menu, they were able to make me a matcha latte with their house made toasted vanilla bean syrup which was the best addition to a matcha latte I've ever tasted. They have a secret ingredient but whatever it is, it made my tastebuds transcend. Matcha was perfectly umami and not too grassy yet also creamy, just the way I like it. Only qualm is that I wish the sizes were bigger because it's so good!! But I know usually quality drinks come in small packages. Parking was interesting. They have diagonal parking spaces along the fronting street. Just watch out for signage with parking limits. I visited on a weekday, so I didn't have much of an issue. Love love love Junia, and I can't wait to come back!!

Came here to meet up with a family member who enjoys this spot. I found the drinks to be a bit pricey. Service was fast and the ambiance is chill.

What can I say about Junia that hasn't been said already? I could talk about how great the staff are, how welcoming the space is, which amazing drink to try, but it all comes down to experiencing it for yourself. As an early riser in the ever growing cafe scene of the South Bay, and Gardena specifically, Junia has positioned itself as a community staple in the short time period since its doors first opened. This space is welcoming and draws you in to take a seat, have a drink, enjoy the company of both the regulars and the people stumbling across this place because of social media alike. My usual drink choices are the following: Matcha Grey, Iced Hojicha Latte, Toasted Vanilla Latte, and the Milky Pear Oolong if I crave some tea. The drinks are all well made and come out fairly quickly. There are days I even order drinks twice! Junia is a great addition to the South Bay community and I am excited to see how this place continues to grow!

Beautiful cafe with large seating area. My husband and I ordered the matcha latte with oat milk and matcha grey. Matcha latte was light and milky. We prefer a double matcha but didn't see that on the menu. When I ordered the server was kind enough to explain to me that the matcha grey is a 9 oz cortada with earl grey cream top. This is so well balanced with deep matcha and earl grey flavor complimenting each other with perfect amount of sweetness. Highly recommend! Parking was hard to find on a Saturday morning but found a spot in the residential area.

I enjoyed Junia Cafe, it fits the bill for a trendy space for trendy people to enjoy trendy drinks. I walked into a space where everything is laid bare: the baristas will make your drink right in front of you, which is always appreciated. No tricks, no frills. I got the Matcha Gray, and I have some thoughts. The flavors were bold, and the matcha was great quality. The drink did come with a warning that it's small (on purpose). I should've known that a drink that comes with a disclaimer is not for people like me, a casual matcha drinker. I found the 75% ice, airplane in-flight drink-sized cup leaving me thinking I ordered the wrong thing. However, with what Junia does well, they blew me away. The latte art on the hojicha latte was clean. And the ham and cheese croissant! Came with mustard and gherkins, and that was something I never knew I desired until now. Junia Cafe was memorable, though I wish they gave something out to help me remember them, like a sticker, or even a cup sleeve. A welcome addition to Gardena.

When my sister here for a coffee date. Everyone inside was very welcoming and answered my questions since it was my first time ever going there. My sister had been there before so she knew exactly what she wanted. We placed our order and sat at the main table. There's a lot of space and a lot of areas to sit, which was really nice. We were able to talk and look through some books we had brought, I just really enjoyed this space Our coffees were amazing. I can't remember what my sister talked to me into having, but it was really strong, but not bitter. Very smooth. She did give me a taste of hers as well and I really enjoyed it. My sister had some questions about some of the artwork and pastries when we were leaving, and the staff was able to answer all her questions and we're very very friendly

Such a cute new addition to Gardena! Junia Cafe is located on the ground floor of an apartment building. There is street parking available, but it can fill up, so you might have to park a little farther down the street. Love the vibes of this cafe! Friendly service, and it's so fun to watch your drinks being made! They offer a variety of coffee drinks, matcha and hojicha, and unique speciality drinks. We got the Matcha Grey (matcha oat cortado and earl grey cream) and a Yuzu Shiso Ade. Both were so yummy and very pretty! I'll definitely be back to try some more of their specialty drinks!

The logo looks like Chagee, the pink is reminiscent of Molly Tea, the fake olive tree is very Cha Redefine, and if I think really hard, the white pampas grass is Toro Tea. Or maybe I'm just schizophrenic, but it was an observation that I made to everyone. I believe ages ago this used to be a Happy Lemon, so this is an insane shift and change in what they offer and the vibes. It's very chill and a great place to hang out, catch up, or study and get work done. Lots of outdoor seating and a good amount of tables and small seating inside too. Ordering is done through a touchscreen kiosk and the drinks come out decently quickly too. Very efficient and friendly service. I got the: 1) Jade Peach Oolong Milk Tea: -I got this with no additional sugar and it automatically comes with their matcha tofu. Super unique and yummy topping. -Delicious white peach flavor, creamy and strong finishing tea taste. Reminds me of all of the aforementioned tea franchise heavy hitters that I know and love. Mai can hold its own. Without additional sweetness, this drink didn't end up tasting watered down or bland, which is super impressive. 2) Double Matcha: -I got this with their organic milk and it's their matcha on top of a matcha cream foam. I got this with no additional sugar (not recommend LOL), but I wanted to really see the quality of their matcha seeing how they won best matcha award and they're somehow in the same vicinity as Yamari. -If anyone even reads my reviews, I use a scaling method to rank matcha. If it's good matcha it's either a Yamari type or an Airoma type, and this scales much closer to Airoma, but it is VERY strong matcha. -This was actually the first time my friend and I got poisoned (like nauseous) from the matcha, meaning it's super high quality and strong. Never had this happened before, so you know that this is the good stuff. It might have been since it was a long day without dinner, or we might have needed it to be sweeter, but I can see why they won their award. I took a sip of my friend's Phin Drip Black Coffee and the Bac Xiu Marble Drip Iced Latte. Delicious coffee flavor without that "sourness" that some coffees have and even without added sweetness, it's not gross and bitter. I got some coffee to go for my dad and brother and they loved it too. We need one of these in the 626. New fav for the area. Definitely want to come back to try more drinks and maybe some of their pastries too.

Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.

Chicken Teriyaki Bowl (Charbroiled Chicken Teriyaki + comes with white rice, chopped lettuce, macaroni salad and grilled fresh pineapple - $13.90): The bowl was surprisingly better than I had expected. The bowl had a slice of grilled pineapple and decent macaroni salad. I was actually able to split the bowl into two smaller meal portions. It was certainly a lot better than the teriyaki bowl from Flame Broiler. *** A solid 3.5-star for the drink and rice bowl. I personally slightly prefer their rice bowl over their drinks and overall this is a nice neighborhood tea shop to grab a quick meal or get a-okay drinks as there aren't too many tea shop options in this part of Torrance (closer to the city of Carson).
