This review is for a takeout order: My friend got me the iced Matcha Grey which is their matcha oat cortado with earl grey cream on top. The cup was tiny but I really enjoyed the flavor of this drink! If you like earl grey, I'd recommend trying this one. It went really well with their matcha. The drink was well balanced-- not too sweet or too milky. Price is a little steep though considering how small the cup is and filled with ice, there's not that much drink in there lol! First, parking is on the streets. I'm not sure how busy it gets but luckily we were able to find parking a few blocks down on a Saturday morning. We got there early enough where there wasn't a line and there was a few people inside already. I ordered the Matcha Earl and my husband got the Golden Orange Latte. He rated it a 8/10 and I rated mine a 7.5/10. The matcha drink was good and you can taste the earl grey. However, I think the size is so small for what you pay for. I can drink it all so quickly but had to sip slowly to savor it. They only have one size. How unfortunate!! Wish they can do a bigger size. Furthermore, the inside was big and spacious. Such a cool and cozy cafe!! It was full of people chatting, reading, and working when I stopped by. It felt like a great community gathering space and I immediately imagined myself asking friends to meet me here for a coffee date! I am such a big fan of Junia. Ever since I discovered Junia in January, I've made sure to come every time I'm back in the South Bay. I think they make the best drinks in town. My favorites are the matcha grey and the yuzu shiso ade. I am very impressed with how delicious their drinks are and they don't skimp on the matcha. The only cons are parking and seating. I'll often circle a few times before finding a spot, and circle a few more times to find a table. However, I keep coming back because I LOVE their drinks and I think its so worth it. read more

Came here in the afternoon for an afternoon pick me up There is parking in the garage and street parking available as well. The ambiance is warm welcoming and so much space! i love how the sunlight comes through all the windows and the curtains give it a homey cafe vibe. There are pastries available as well. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I ended up getting the matcha grey. Which is a short matcha kind of like a cortado with a earl grey foam top. the earl grey foam top was amazing!! I really enjoyed the flavor. The matcha was also great, good nutty earthy flavor and not too overly sweet. Located off W Gardena Bl in Gardena. Nice spot but parking is a challenge here there is no parking lot so you have to find street parking which is difficult at times. The place is nice roomy inside a few tables but it does get crowded here as well. I drive by a lot since I go to Giuliano's down the street and I see the line and the crowd here. I got the matcha latte and it was good my only complaint not a biggie but they put a lot of ice in the small cup maybe next time I'll see if I can get less ice. this is by far one of my favorite cafes! everything i've had here is amazing and the employees are always the nicest. inside has ample seating and great vibes! you can always tell how good a place is if you've ordered the same drink a couple times and it's always delicious! i'd highly recommend trying this place out if you haven't. i usually get an iced cortado and it's always fabulous, perfectly balanced, and rich in flavor. i recently tried out the orange cinnamon latte and wow was it amazing! 10/10 place! read more

The space was perfect representation to my coffee shop preference with clean and sleek look, well-lit space; just awesome spot to be when away from my regular working desk. The vibrant color might have been able to tell the quality and the strong matcha flavor; and looking at the dainty size, it's doubtlessly quality over quantity game here. Ordered an Americano, black... they brought it to my table and if they were trying to serve extremely bitter coffee, mission accomplished. I expect an Americano to be slightly bold but approachable. The espresso used was either old or burnt. Probably fine if you add a bunch or cream and sugar or flavorings. I definitely recommend the milky pear oolong tea! The oolong is lightly roasted and matches very well with the pear flavor. I haven't seen a pear tea drink before and this was quite unique. Was working in the area and stopped in for coffee since this appeared on my Yelp search. Parking is limited to the spaces out front or nearby street parking. I've been noticing a lot of the newer coffee spots that are opening have the same or similar aesthetic: modern minimalist decor or theme, abstract or hipster vibe/art and branded merch which is a t-shirt, hoodie and dad hat. Junia falls into that line of coffee shops. Nothing wrong with it just kind of hard to discern between all the shops opening up with the same model. Luckily Junia serves superb coffee, taste is clean with no bitterness. I tried their Golden Orange drink which was basically a latte with orange zest and it was very good. I will say I've seen variations of the orange zest latte at other high end coffee shops but theirs is simple and to the point. There's seating in the dining area and there were many people here co-working/studying and I'm not sure if every table had access to an outlet or only certain spots. Restroom was, clean, spacious and kept the minimalist decor theme going and the soap smelled very fresh. Overall, I would come back for their coffee for sure and if I could find a space to plug-in and co-work I would visit again for that as well, but it looks like this place is already popular and seats may be hard to come by in the future. read more

The Matcha Earl Grey is delicious l, only bummer it's a cortado size. The earl grey foam and the syrup isn't overly sweet and I want to say it's not a latte (hence the size) so it straight matcha and water. Really that is the drink of choice. I did try the golden orange latte and I warmed up to the flavor. Initial sip was too sweet and the topping was dried chopped up rinds or pulp. I wasn't a fan of that. Once the ice melted and stirred a bit the orange flavor was just a hint and it was better. I think better for a dried orange as decor vs the chopped up rind. It's a small spot. The pictures..deceptive. lol. There's some seating. It's a no frills type of coffee shop. It has seats, coffee, pastries, and pics of cat (I do like cats). Workers were nice. The drink options are small. I had the matcha latte (gotta watch the caffeine). It was good. Had their pastry (there were only 2 left when I got there). It was pretty good. Be mindful that you have to put your cups/plate away in these 2 black bins (it's on a cart). The rest room is located in the garage area. I just had to check out Junia Café after seeing the Matcha Grey. As an avid matcha drinker who loves floral teas, this drink was calling to me! I really enjoyed the richness of the matcha and the aroma of the earl grey cream top. I thought that the addition of earl tea tea bits was a nice touch. I also appreciated how there was oat milk in it so it wasn't an extra charge. While I do wish that it came in a bigger cup size, I understand the intent. The smaller cup size or ratio is meant to maintain the flavor of the matcha. The Matcha Grey was so good and it's definitely the kind of drink that you want to savor each sip.
