We randomly stopped here around 3pm on a week day since we were in the area and were shocked by the emptiness of the restaurant. We sat at the bar since it was HH. The bartender was fabulous. He answered all of our questions and made suggestions on things to order. They actually offer a pretty good HH. I'm always looking for good, local, non chain restaurants in the Roseville area. This place hit most of my boxes. The menu had a lot of great options, the food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the overall vibe was really energic (it was a Friday night). For specifics, we had the wagyu carpaccio and empanadas appetizers, stonefruit salad, and braised short ribs/mushroom risotto (my friend and I shared all plates). All of them were delicious. If I had to choose a star in that selection it would be the wagyu carpaccio. I could have had 3 plates of that. The short ribs were a bit dry, but the flavor was still good and there were so many other good things about the dishes I'm not knocking a star for that one thing. My one real critique: the cocktails were fun but weren't quite right for my palette - perhaps this is a personal preference. They were all overly strong on the liquor, which throw off the balance of the cocktail. I drink cocktails for the balance of flavors. If I just wanted tequila I would have just ordered it. :) If I'm just looking for a cocktail I probably won't come for just that. (Although, I also believe in second chances, especially since they're still pretty new and likely working out kinks.) You'll notice I still gave a 5 star rating despite the drinks being off (my opinion). Normally I would have marked a star off for this except that when the very friendly, personable owner (Ed) came by to check on us I had mentioned that the margarita flight was much bigger than I expected - it was three full size margaritas rather than smaller pours I would expect from a drink flight and I was the DD for the night. He let me pick the one I liked the best and then took the other two, taking the whole thing off our bill. (More than necessary. I would have been happy to still pay for the single margarita I drank.) But, that level of service and how gracious he was about it earned the star back. Our server was also really great and on top of things - coming by regularly but not constantly. read more

The potstickers, Brussels, & the short rib were amazing!! I worked in a steakhouse for about 8 years and this is the first place that has been able to come close to the quality since moving away from that area. Everyone loved their drinks too, the bartender was also our server and he was great as well! (I forgot his name sorry!) Place has weird vibes Went here for lunch and a lady came to take pictures of us right as we got food, and then came back trying to sell us the photos and seemed very unhappy when we declined. We never asked for the photos in the first place and she never even told us what they were for. I find it weird that the owner or manager approved of that? My favorites were the crispy tempura shrimp, crispy Asiago cheese stuffed gnocchi, truffle parmesan fries, and molten chocolate lava cake. The crispy tempura shrimp was fully covered in sauce, but it wasn't too saucy and was still crispy! The molten chocolate lava cake was one of the best desserts I've ever had and was literally melt in your mouth. The service was also amazing and we were quickly seated and had our order taken! Went here with really high hopes and was disappointed by the food. We ordered Cajun shrimp, calamari, and a pesto flatbread. It was not very busy and we waited about 25 minutes for our food to come out (it all came out at the same time). The calamari was room temp, not warm at all but had great flavor. The Cajun shrimp looked like it had been sitting for a while as there was a film on the beurre blanc sauce. It was also room temp. The flatbread was extremely salty. Hopefully it was just a bad day in the kitchen, don't know if I'll give it a second try. Out recent visit to this trendy eatery was a good experience, minus the mix up in the kitchen where they gave our food to another table, it took over 30 minutes for my appetizer to come out , because it was my cousin's 50th birthday we were all in great mood enjoying our time chatting! The wait staff was friendly and accommodating , but the wait time and excuses were a little bit redundant! Once the food arrived we were pleasantly satisfied with our choices . I had the Breakfast Sandwich and let me say it was delicious, 8.5 out of 10 , buttery brioche bread that melted in your mouth, the egg was perfectly cooked and the melted cheese.. yummm , the only con was that the bacon was soggy, no crisp whatsoever, had it been crisp I would have given it a 10 . The crispy home potatoes that were served with the dish were so delicious as well! My sangria was soooo good, I would come back just for that drink ! My cousin said she enjoyed her chicken and waffles dish , 8 out of 10 , however she gave the Raspberry Lemon Drop a 7 out of 10 in flavor , she says 4 of the points were for the presentation! My good friend enjoyed her breakfast omelette plate but she mentioned that the bacon in her omelette was too soft as well , very undercooked.. she gave the meal 8 out of 10 . This review is based on my initial experience, however it was their first week open and I think they may have been working out the kinks. I would be willing to go back and update my review with a better experience. First of all, it was an interesting mix of being a "Lounge" and a restaurant. It was set up as a restaurant, but the music was blasting (Came on Saturday night of opening week) so couldn't really hear. My sister and I decided to sit outside and get drinks so we could still hear each other chat.... Outside was a TOTALLY different vibe... there was no music at all lol! We were 1 of 2 groups initially that were sitting outside. We put in our order after about 5 mins of waiting and then waited another 20-30 mins to get the drinks... this was after my sister went to go find the server who said she forgot about us... not great but okay, we thought. The drinks then came out in plastic cups which was definitely weird since they were $15+ drinks. A couple other groups started getting sat outside and everyone else had glass drink ware. For the drinks we ordered the prickly Pear Margaritas... It tasted like margarita mix. We would have ordered food but we had already waited so long for drinks at that point and didn't see our server until she came back to tell us that she was leaving for the night and wanted us to close out. Part of the reason I wanted to try out this restaurant/lounge was to get a gift Certificate for someone in the area. I thought it would be a fun gift for someone who has probably tried all other eateries in the area but not yet this one (since it just opened). They didnt have gift certificates, but i was told they would have some in a few months... I just feel like from a marketing perspective, they are missing out on valuable peer-to-peer recommendations. We were seated outside on the beautiful patio and understandably they were a little overwhelmed during the holiday so a couple of dishes were wrong or missing. Our manager not only made sure that everything came out fresh, she kept checking on us repeatedly throughout the rest of the brunch and made sure we came away with a great experience. I had my usual old fashioned and can clearly say that it was top 5 that I have ever had. The food was to die for, not a single grain of rice left on my plate. The only reason why I booked my reservation here was because of their signature sparkling candle on the dessert that I saw on instagram!! I checked out Junior's instagram page and a lot of people celebrating a birthday at this place with sparkling candles! So I requested a sparkling candle with a small cake and ice cream for my boyfriend's birthday. The food was good but the only part I was looking forward to was the ending with the sparkle candle. My waitress was nice, but she didn't mention anything about it and she told me that she got me and all that! Which she didn't unfortunately, She walked in the back and came back with only this plate!
