Grilled Grouper with tots and sauteed mushrooms, onions, and peppers
    Rich H.

I was visiting family in Toccoa and was discouraged at the lack of locally owned restaurants that are open for dinner. Downtown Toccoa has a handful of places but mainly only open for breakfast and lunch. I was glad to find Junior's The service was friendly and the food arrived hot. I ordered the cheese curds for an app. They were the right amount of salty and the marinara sauce was house-made and delicious. For the entree I ordered the grilled Grouper. I was skeptical about ordering fish this far from the ocean, but the owner said he gets multiple fish deliveries weekly and works hard not to use frozen fish. The Grouper was tasty and grilled perfectly. If you're looking for a great locally owned dinner spot, definitely check out Junior's.

Great waitress from New Jersey, Mary. Good onion rings & fries. Decent Swiss mushroom burger, good roll. No celery. unfresh carrots. Pricy. Our medium wings were not freshly fried. (05/12 ~9oclock). Though we tried our friend's parmesean wings which were cooked to order. It should be cooked to order, not refried (the hard fry extireior lukewarm). They're not as good. Decent chicken but would've rathered a $4.50 rotisserie chicken via Walmart. We should've complained right then and there but didn't and the cook got away with it and encouraged his bad behavior. $53 total w tip for 3 plates of wings and a burger. All waters around.

We drove all over Toccoa looking for a place to get a drink. Google maps was no help. Then like a mirage appearing in the desert we saw Junior's. We heard the angels singing. We got to the covered patio just in time before a torrential rain came. Daniel was great and was eager to serve us. We came to drink (and we did!) but we also shared a Buffalo shrimp appetizer. Suffice to say this ain't fine dining but we were OK with it because there wasn't a Zagat rating posted on the door. I expect greater things from Daniel in life and we wish him the best.

    Super small portion sizes

I get the place is new, but they need to train their waitresses on how to give better service or just hire more experienced people. The service was super slow. Just get people their drinks first, then we won't mind waiting. As for food, just know that you're overpaying for the portion sizes they give. I got the Caesar salad that was almost $5 and it was literally the same size as my cup of chowder. The smallest regular (not side) salad I've ever received at a restaurant. The people I were with ordered a Philly and it's literally the size of a hotdog. While the food is good, just know you won't be getting a lot of it. They have a long way to go but I see very good potential.

Rib plate, baked beans, corn on the cob and slaw. Flavor.. eh. Luke warm when served.

Food all came cold except my burger because they switched waitresses, lost the ticket and had to make mine from scratch while I watched the family attempt to eat dinner. Everyone else's food was served cold to touch. Long wait, no help, a lot of confusion and a roaming "manager/ owner" chit chatting with the whoever was sitting around pushing the alcohol. A bar scene that wants to be a family restaurant. Ease on down the road if you get the itch, unless you need a fresh brew.

Nice place with lots of room for improvement. The setup is really cool, love the layout, the games,…read morethe bar, the views and access to the park. Service was (shy of one saving grace) meh and food was just meh. The menu had several items listed that really could bring this place up a notch. Hubby ordered the duck Cuban which was really good. I had the chicken quesadillas, nothing to write home about. My girlfriend got the Philly and said it was good. I love the brand of chips they serve and especially the jalapeño queso chips. They were out of wings. This is a miss considering how this was one of if not the last weekends of the season to see the leaves change colors, it's going to be busy and wings aren't hard to stock nor do they go to waste at a restaurant/bar. They should've been prepared. The setup is you order at the bar, take your drink and a number to your table and they bring your food. Cool. They bring our food out and my gf asks for napkins and they tell her she's gotta go back up to the deck to get them. Huh? Why didn't they just bring them with the food? We have fresh food in front of us and now have to leave that food to get napkins? Here comes saving grace because as soon as that server made it back to the deck, a different server comes out to our table with a caddy of napkins. She was really cool, and much appreciated! They have a target audience (people coming and going to and from the park) so I guess they don't have to deliver stellar food and service but to miss on both is disappointing. People are making memories with their families. And it wouldn't take much to tighten up and deliver amazing food and amazing service instead of just being convenient. I chose the place for our party of 8 and I felt bad. Thankfully I think everyone was too tired and cold to complain.

It's a cute place but the staff is rude and disconnected from the people around them and not very helpful at all. The menu is very small and includes wings, taco bowl, hamburgers and one sandwich.... Just so generic and bleh. So disappointing, don't waste your time stopping here

It had a bacon jam which complemented the cheese, all while not detracting from the delicious beef. My table mate had the beef short ribs; tender, rich, and a good portion size. The potato salad side was tasty enough to make me wish for a larger scoop. Our two cocktails were top-shelf quality, although the Old Fashioned's cherry was an obliterated mush. The lacking star is due to the noise level once the live music kicked in. The inside seating is already a loud echo chamber of hard surfaces, but adding the near ear-splitting band out in the tent made all conversation impossible. I saw several tent tables clear out when the music started. I like live music, and the band was good. But half the decibels would have been more than enough. I think my ears are still ringing two days later. Service was good as our waitress barely kept up with the dinner crowd surge and a new and uncooperative POS system. Hopefully that will fall in line and give the staff a break! Looking forward to future offerings from their talented chef. Will definitely visit next time I'm in the area.

That was ok for me because there was live music, college football, and bar to keep me entertained. When we were seated, we ordered the Bavarian pretzels, nachos, and drinks. I loved the sweet tea bourbon. Unfortunately they were out of their famous burgers when we visited so I had the brisket dog and it was so tasty. Definitely will be back for the burgers.

The interior is on the dark side, invoking old steakhouse vibes, but not really a modern/updated feel to it. We started with a couple of cocktails which took a while to get. There was only one bartender and she was backed up in orders at 6pm on a weeknight. For dinner we ordered country fried steak, salmon, and pasta Alfredo (a vegetarian in out party), all delicious! The salads we had before the main course came with a croissant drizzled with honey, yum! The service wasn't the best, I think our waitress was new. She didn't get my water request right, I asked for no ice, three times, and still got it wrong. She was sweet and did check on us, though we couldn't understand her since she spoke so softly. We paid cash, which included the tip. She came back after taking our money, to ask us if we wanted the change when we gave her $130 for a $97 bill ($100 bill plus a 10 & 20). We couldn't understand how paying that much more in cash confused her, hence assuming she was new. But overall I think our experience was pleasant. I wish they had more vegetarian options, but I would patronize this establishment again.
