What a great find. A neon blue sign reassures you they invest more in their fish than the decor, and they mean it! The fish was very fresh and lovely. The salmon was melt in your mouth with a lightly sweet note. The seared pieces of nigiri were well-balanced with just a light smokiness. I was craving sushi and saw all the excellent reviews so I stopped by after work. I got a sashimi tasting. I "think" the fish is fresh. I have to say think because everything was extremely salty. The sashimi sits on a large bed of seaweed. I tasted the seaweed so it was super salty. So the sashimi sitting on the bed of seaweed absorbed all the salt. It was barely eatable. Be aware that it may be a challenging hike up the stairs for the elderly. When I went, there was a staff of 2, so i waited a bit for my order to be ready. The staff was nice and seemed very busy although I was the only one inside. The boxes were really cute (see pic), but I got the clear top box. The roll itself was delicious. Such a great little sushi restaurant in midtown. We visited a few days ago on a rainy weekday. We ordered sashimi and spicy tuna and a few other things. The fish was fresh and delicious. The owner is so caring and kind. She brought trainer chopsticks for our 5 year old son and took a poloaroid both for her wall and for us to keep.
